1) Powder: Nightmares

Another night, and another busy day. Silco, putting away the book he was reading in his free time, got up to hit the bed. But just when he covered himself with his blanket, he heard a knock on his door. This late at night, there could only be three people. One, Sevika, his loyal right hand woman. Two and three, his new adoptive children.

"Yes? Come in." He called out, sitting up as the door was pushed open. Walking in, he saw the second and third option walking in. With his son, Slathilia, gently leading his sister in. The problem was, she had that tired and sad look. One she would have whenever she had a nightmare.

"Hey, Silco." Slathilia greeted, sighing gently as Silco looked at the tear marks on his daughter's face :"Nightmares again." And as Powder sniffed gently, Thilia nodded :"Yeah. I calmed her down, but she couldn't sleep."

"Hm, I see." He nodded, sitting further in the bed to give space to enter as he held up the blanket, smiling slightly :"Come on, hop in." Just like how he had done a few times in the past. Nightmares were common for the poor girl, so he and Slathilia would always try any method to help and comfort her.

Seeing the welcoming scene, Powder sniffed again before slowly getting closer. All while holding and dragging Slathilia's hand. The warmth of an adult was what calmed her, but the warmth of the person she trusted the most was critical.

He helped her into the bed, and she settled in nicely. But he himself didn't enter, earning a questioning look from the both of them :"I just thought she can sleep without me now. The bed can get cramped too. Don't want to make you any more uncomfortable."

Hearing him, Powder quickly, desperately grabbed onto his hand. A pleading look on her scared and pitiful face :"No... stay, please..." And Silco's answer was the same as Powder. He nodded as she smiled slightly :"You should stay. After all, you're part of this family too. And family sticks together. She needs you as well."

(A/N: Dom would be proud.)

Smiling helplessly, he nodded lightly before gently grabbing Powder's hand and getting in the bed next to her, causing her to smile happily in relief, hugging him immediately. Hugging her back, he made himself comfortable in the slightly cramped space.

"Are you okay now?" Silco asked, concern and comfort evident in his voice as he gently rubbed Powder's head, earning a nod as she buried her head in Slathilia's chest. Enjoying the comfort as the hybrid gently rubbed her head and back.

"But still," The old man chuckled, catching their attention :"We really do need to get a bigger bed. One this small isn't suitable for three people, even if you're children." Earning a chuckle from Slathilia, and even from Powder. Although one muffled by Thilia's chest.

Putting out the fire of the candle beside his bed, he hugged both his children, trapping Powder between the comfort of Slathilia and himself as he pulled his son into him, comforting him too. He knew how worried he would get for Powder. He himself needed comfort as well.

"Goodnight, children."
