Apocalypse: My Domain System

Kiyo, a seemingly average man, finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where he is betrayed and left for dead by three associates. After being killed by beasts, he wakes up in his bed covered in cold sweat, confused and angry. He realizes that he has somehow regressed back in time to before the apocalypse. He breaks up with his girlfriend Yumi, who was among the three who betrayed him, and begins preparations for the impending apocalypse. He withdraws all his savings and his late father's inheritance, amounting to $2,000,000. Suddenly, a mechanical screen appears in front of him and an Onyx black ring he had obtained five years prior loses its shine. The screen, part of the Apocalyptic Domain System, was created by a progenitor to guide and empower Kiyo to create a paradise and save as many humans as possible from the impending apocalypse.

Chapter 13:Train!

"Huff! Huff!"

Grim and foreboding, the figure stands with a long black scythe in hand, its presence radiating a ghastly aura that chills the surrounding air.

It was Noah, standing on top of small mountain of Tier 3 beast, panting heavily.

"Clap! Clap! Clap!' Kiyo approached him with a grin on his face.

Noah's back straightened, he would never forget the hell this man brought him into!

"You seem strong enough now, this weapon really complements you." Noah looked like death itself.

Tbh Kiyo and his team now looks like they were the ones responsible for the apocalypse, it was as if they came straight from hell…

"I think its time." "It's been a month, huh?"

"Are we finally going back to the shelter?" Noah said with excitement, he has always been anticipating for this, after all he had never seen the shelter before.

"Yeah, we need to make plans too, along with those three psychopath." Kiyo answered with a bit of annoyance, 'Hehe! I wanna see what kind of reaction those guys would have when they find out I'm at the peak of Stage 4.'

Kiyo walked away, whilst Noah followed in a hurry as he first retrieved the Z-crystals from the mountain of corpses.

"After just a month of training, you really managed to reach the peak of Stage 3," Kiyo said as he paused, "No wonder the system told me to save you…" He mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Anyway, you did a great job killing those mutants."

"Yes, but don't they seem to keep multiplying, at this rate they would flattened the city." Noah questioned. "No worries, other people must be awakening and improving steadily too; the rapid changes in these beasts relates to the virus, which is also the source of awakeners' powers."

"But others definitely doesn't have access to the source of those vials you gave me to awaken, right?" Noah asked again. "Of course, its one of my secrets after all; every other awakener had innate abilities that was awakened by the virus, so they are natural awakeners, whilst my method is to awaken forcefully using that vial solution."

Silence soon engulped the surroundings as the two leaped forward.

In front of the towering black metallic wall that shimmered under the bright sunlight, casting a shadow across the street, stood two hooded figures staring up at it, one carrying a ghastly scythe whilst another carrying a devillish sword.

As soon as a sizable gap unexpectedly opened in the immense metal gate, there was a sudden, swift movement - a sharp dagger hurtling straight toward Kiyo.

His decisiveness made led him to release his grip on the gate and skillfully deflect the incoming attack to protect himself.

"Kukukuku!" Kiyo laughed in satisfaction, "It seems like you've improved again, Yuno."

Soon, another three hooded figure joined Kiyo and Noah outside.

They now looked more like a shady cult than a survivor group.

"Welcome back, bro/dude." Vin and Yuno greeted in unison.

"Oh, who is this with you?" Wake asked, his gaze landing on Noah standing beside Kiyo.

"This is Noah, the latest addition to our lil group HAHAHAHA!" Kiyo happily introduced his companion, as if proudly presenting a kitten he picked up from who knows where.

"Nice to meet you, Wake, Vin, and Yuno." Noah greeted with a toothy grim, making him appear menacing along with the tall scythe in his hand.

"Nice to meet you," Yuno greeted back before his gaze landed on Kiyo.

On the other side, Vin just nodded at Noah before his smile grew distorted.

Without warning, his fist shot out towards Kiyo with lightning speed, bridging the gap of 3 meters between them in the blink of an eye.

Kiyo quickly raised his left hand to block the oncoming attack, but to his surprise, he realized it was too powerful. Vin's fist landed square in the center of his chest, leaving him gasping for breath.

"HAHA! Don't underestimate my fist." Vin laughed.

"Hehe, we all broke through to the third stage, whilst Vin reached the fourth." Wake added, his chest puffed out.

A distorted toothy grin, reminiscent of mischievous devil from ancient tales, slowly formed on Noah and Kiyo's faces as sly amusement twinkled in their eyes.

Without warning, afterimages replaced them on their spot.

The two charged forward, closing the distance between them and the three people in front of them as Noah's unexpected powerful punches sent Yuno and Wake flying through the air as they gasped for air.

At the same time, Kiyo delivered a well-timed drop kick to Vin, sending him crashing into the hard ground, sending a series of unsettling cracks resonating through the tense air. Kiyo's kick was so strong that the dense concrete that was encircling Vin at the time of impact visibly cracked and fractured beneath him.

Laughter erupted around him, resonating through the air as the group of five friends shared a moment of pure, unbridled joy. Vin stood up from the small crater, brushing the dust off his clothes and showing a small grin.

"Heh, let's go inside." Kiyo invited as he strolled forward.

Kiyo's deep eyes lingered on the two women, lounging on the velvet couches that lined the living room; his curious face was glued to Yuno, who had assumed the position of interim leader.

"Uhh, these are Violet and Maddy, the latest addition to our group, I guess?" Yuno answered as his gaze landed on Noah, the newest member of the group..

"Oh," Kiyo said with a curious look in his eyes, silently urging the Yuno to share more details about the two women.

"Don't worry, they're both Stage 2 natural awakener." Yuno reassure. "Not a burden, at the very least." Kiyo coldly said.

Violet, the woman in question, heard the conversation between the two. "Violet, nice to meet you… Boss?" Violet introduced herself, the last word spoken with uncertainty.

With a forced smile, he said, "Oh, nice to meet you too," his eyes narrowing as they moved to the other woman, giving off an obvious air of intimidation and malice.

"I-I'm Maddy, N-nice to meet you… Boss?"

"Don't be afraid, we're all family here," Kiyo said with a grin, he was on the verge of teasing the shy woman in front of him.

A sharp tremor shook the very walls of the small fortress they had taken shelter in, and a blinding light shot through, forcing them to squeeze their eyes shut.

The seven of them moved as one unit, vanishing from the living room. Their eyes gleamed with surprise as they saw the black iron walls transform into something even more formidable. They seemed to absorb all of the light that was around them, blending in with the night's overwhelming darkness. Within this new, improved barrier, the area seemed to expand, providing room for wonder to exist. The iron door demanded attention with its strengthened magnificence and heightened strength, projecting an air of grandeur and impregnability.

The three of them paused in admiration before walking on their way towards the charming building. As they approached the ancient-style brick shed with a vintage feel, the intricate details caught their attention, from the aged wooden door standing slightly ajar to the carefully weathered facade. The nostalgic atmosphere surrounding the shed was palpable, evoking a sense of history and craftsmanship that spoke volumes about the care and dedication put into its creation.

The group lifted their heads in unison, staring straight at the banner atop the building, "Barracks"

A grin appeared on Kiyo's face as he looked at the system prompt in front of him.

End of Chapter 13.
