The Mysterious Mansion

A bright light flashed, and Seth's figure reappeared in the apocalyptic world!

Opening his eyes, Seth looked around and found himself near a large mansion, not far from the villa where he first appeared.

Looking from his current location towards the original villa, there were still a few dozen aimlessly wandering zombies scattered around. The once large horde of zombies had now dispersed into the streets, aimlessly wandering everywhere.

Checking the time on his watch, it still showed the 3rd, and the time was 1:17 PM.

Compared to the five hours that had passed in the Second World, here, it had been less than an hour.

Staring at the villa that once belonged to him but was now occupied by the Philip-Harris couple, Seth's eyes grew colder.

"Roar!!~~~"

"Heh heh heh~~~"

"Eh~ Eh Eh~~~"

Seth's appearance immediately drew the attention of the wandering zombies nearby. Zombies roaming on the nearby road started sniffing and slowly began converging towards Seth's location.

Seth roughly estimated that there were about one hundred meters from his current location to the previous villa, and between them, there were about two to three hundred zombies.

In the woods not far away, another large group of zombies was slowly retreating into the trees.

If he were to attack now, it would be difficult to break through the blockade of zombies on the road, and it might also attract the zombies that had already started to retreat.

A wise man bides his time for revenge, and Seth was not one to act rashly.

It was now midday, and the sun was at its fiercest. If he waited a bit longer, most of the zombies should retreat.

Then, it would be much safer to go for his revenge!

For now, it was best to find a safe place and quietly wait for a while.

Glancing at the luxurious and spacious mansion behind him, Seth, holding a spear, slowly retreated into the yard of this nearby mansion.

This was a rather luxurious vacation villa, surrounded by a concrete wall about three meters high, and equipped with cameras and alarm devices. Unfortunately, with the power gone, these devices were now useless.

This estate-like mansion was likely a holiday residence for some wealthy individual. In addition to the elegantly landscaped greenery in the front yard, there was a small fountain.

As the apocalypse had struck while the front gate was open, there were also a dozen zombies wandering inside the front yard.

After carefully retreating into the front yard, Seth tried to close the huge iron gate of the yard, but unfortunately, the gate was electrically operated and nearly impossible to move manually without power. Additionally, a Lincoln car was blocking the gate, making closing it an almost impossible task for Seth in his current state.

"Roar!~~"

With a roar, a zombie dressed in security attire suddenly charged out of the guard room, ferociously pouncing towards Seth.

Perhaps due to the system, Seth found that his reaction ability and physical strength had unknowingly increased significantly.

Watching the zombie lunge at him, Seth remained calm. His spear thrust out, accurately piercing the zombie's head.

The noise made by the zombie alerted the others in the yard. The dozen or so aimlessly wandering zombies mechanically turned their heads and then stumbled towards Seth, growling.

The few zombies dressed in security attire here were obviously much more agile than the others.

The one Seth had just killed was like this, and so were the other two in security attire.

After swiftly killing two obstructing zombies, Seth quickly ran towards the inside of the mansion.

The front door of the mansion was not closed but ajar. Blood and flesh stains, along with scattered bones, were everywhere – at the entrance, along the walkway, and even inside the fountain.

Clearly, this place had witnessed a feast of zombies!

It seemed that all the people in the villa had perished.

"Click!" Seth closed the mansion's main door behind him, blocking the pursuing zombies outside.

Without any lights, the well-sealed mansion seemed somewhat dim. Sunlight streamed through the colored glass, casting its rays into the splendidly decorated hall. The bloodstains on the walls and floor, coupled with the rotten and bloody smell in the air, filled the mansion with a bizarre atmosphere.

It appeared as if a fierce battle and massacre had taken place here. The hall was a mess, strewn with zombie corpses. These zombies were dressed in various attires – some in suits, some in bikinis, and others even in U.S. Navy SEALs uniforms. Just from their clothing, everything about this place seemed strange and out of the ordinary.

Additionally, Seth saw numerous signs of gunfire and bomb explosions. He was uncertain whether any zombies were still lurking inside the mansion.

"Clang..."

Suddenly, a metallic sound echoed in the empty hall, creating an eerie reverberation.

Seth quickly looked up, realizing the sound came from a room upstairs.

"Could there be survivors up there?"
