Do Not Open the Gate

"Sophie Officer, Seth, it seems like Officer Rick is in trouble!" Elena suddenly screamed in fear, pointing towards the back of the group.

Seth turned to look behind, and there was Rick, limping as he swung his spear to kill zombies. Sweating profusely, he was making his way towards the group. Due to his limp, Rick's pace was noticeably slower than that of the others. Although valiant, Rick was falling behind, and the number of zombies around him was increasing. The distance between the group and Rick had widened to about forty to fifty meters.

It was evident that Rick was struggling. His movements became sluggish, and he was clearly exerting a lot of effort.

"Bill! Paul! Why didn't you bring Rick with you?" Sophie, watching her husband falling behind, asked angrily as she followed behind Bill and Paul. "He's limping, how can he keep up with us?"
