Chapter 3. Friend or foe...?
The beast latched its jaws around my shaking body, but as I laid there in its jaws I noticed that the beast's jaws was not "Chomping" down on my flesh like I thought it would. I felt a little uncomfortable and a little discomfort from the tooth crammed in my side but no pain. The beast's jaws felt like it was trying not to hurt Me, but carefully carry me. Without warning the beast's feet started to move making my body sway in it's mouth.
I looked and noticed the beast's very large paws starting towards the dark forest, where it came from. The beast gradually started to pick up the pace, after a few seconds the beast was running through the forest holding Me carefully in its jaws. I could feel the beasts teeth pressing against my stomach making my head fill with worry. I knew this creature could harm or worse kill me if it wanted too but I stayed still in fear of enraging the beast.
As the beast ran I tried to pay attention to my surroundings. The beast ran and ran till it came to an abrupt stop at a cliff making me swing over the edge. My eyes widen in fear as I grab hold of the beast lower jaw. I could see the whole forest and beyond from up here. My mouth opened in shock as I took in the beautiful view but I seen something in the far off distance causing My eyes to widen.
It was a town, it would probably take Me a couple of hours to walk there. As I looked at the distance village thinking about how to get there. My thoughts were soon interrupted by the beast slowly trying to climb down the cliff to the forest below. I couldn't help but hold onto the beasts lower jaw tighter in fear of being dropped.
"Please don't drop me..."
My voice quivered as I begged the beast not to drop me. The beasts jaws tighter around me as if it was listening to My words. As the beast finally got to the bottom I let out a silent sigh in relief. The beast then started walk quickly away from the cliff but not towards the village. As it went through the dark forest with Me in its jaws it jumped over logs and under large branches for over half an hour causing Me to let out a shaky sigh.
I didn't know where the creature was taking me but I knew it couldn't be good. This scared me... I always knew what happened next but if I didn't know what was going to happen I usually didn't do it. As I thought about what was going to happen I felt the beast slow to a walk making me look up slowly. There was a giant cave in front of us, there were giant vines that covered most of the entrance but that didn't stop the beast from pushing its way thought them and into the cave. A vine slapped me in the face making me swat my hands in front of me to get it off.
Once I could get a good look around my fear grew. I looked around in fear of what laid beyond the darkness but the beast kept walking slowly through the dark cave. I finally couldn't see the light of the entrance anymore causing more fear to swell in my chest but that soon dispersed when I seen a blue light up ahead. What he seen next was beautiful, large crystals that illuminated the entire part of the cave. As the beast walked through the crystals I could see something coming into view. It was a tiny spring with a little water fall. It was glowing from the crystals that laid at the bottom of the water. what I didn't notice was the large bunch of green grass that laid about 15 feet away from the spring with crystal that came up all around the grass.
The beast walked over to the grass and dropped Me down into it. I looked down at the grass that caught my fall then up at the beast. It looked at me for a split moment then walked over to the spring and stared to drink form it. My eyes widen as I watched the beast, is it just saving me for later!? What's going on?I slowly and silently got up and started to tip toe away from the beast and the spring towards the exit. As I walked I felt my foot Accidentally kick a tiny rock that scurried across the ground making some noise. I looked at the rock in betrayal as I froze when I heard the creatures paws against the ground. My heart beat went up and I decided I needed to run. I took off toward the exit as I could hear the beasts running paws coming after me. I could see the exit but I could also hear the beast right behind me and before I could run out of it I felt the beasts jaws grab ahold of me Making me scream out in fear. My screams dyed down as I didn't feel the teeth of the beast sink into my flesh. It held me steady in its mouth, it turned around and walked back to the grass and dropped me on it but instead of leaving this time it laid down beside Me. I felt one of its paws curl around me and pull me close to the beast. The beasts paws was so heavy that I knew I wouldn't be able to get out of the beasts grasps. I sighs softly as I rested My hands on the beasts paws.
It hasn't killed me yet... maybe it's... friendly?
I shook my head softly as I felt my tail curl up in between my legs. My ears were back against my head as he laid against the beasts chest. I looked up at the crystal ceiling. It looked like shimmering stars... I sighed softly as I closed my eyes. I could hear the beasts soft breathing as it fell asleep still keeping a tight grip on Me. My eyes opened softly as I glanced at the beasts face which rested next to My legs. I closed my eyes again and felt my tiredness get the better of me. I could feel my body start to shut down as I finally fell asleep.
Maybe it won't kill me?
