Waterfall

"Good Morning Annie, Good Morning Curtis" said Alina as she smiled and she happily walked into the room.

"Good Morning Alina" said Annie as she turned to look at Alina and she smiled.

"Good Morning" said Curtis.

"Oh how do you feel today Curtis?" asked Alina as she smiled, she had been asking him that same question for a week now, and it became a habit to Curtis for her to ask.

"I am feeling better, I can move my hands now" said Curtis as he extended and withdrew his arm to show Alina.

"That's wonderful Curtis" said Alina as she smiled.

"Wait, let's try something, you should be able to stand now" said Alina as she walked to Curtis and she helped him try to stand up as Annie supported him on his right side as they both helped Curtis up.

"Do you think that you can stand on your own now Curtis?" asked Alina as Curtis nodded his head.

"Okay, Annie we are going to let go of Curtis very slowly so he can support himself" said Alina as she looked at Annie and Annie nodded her head.

"Alright, one, two, three…" said Alina as she and Annie slowly let go of Curtis as stood on his own.

"You're standing, you're standing Curtis!" said Annie excitedly as Curtis was standing on his own, without any help from them at all, it made her so happy.

"Oh this is wonderful" said Alina as she smiled, finally after so long, Curtis was able to stand again.

"How do you feel Curtis?" asked Annie as she looked at Curtis.

"I feel fine" said Curtis even though he felt a little light headed, but overall he felt very fine.

"Oh I am so glad" said Annie as she smiled and Curtis took a wobbly step forward, but he kept on going as his walking got better and better.

"You are walking Curtis, oh this is the best thing I've seen in a long time" said Annie as she hugged Curtis in happiness, so much so that Curtis staggered back a bit from the force that she used to hug him.

"Oh, I'm sorry Curtis, I just got so excited" said Annie as she apologized and she stopped hugging Curtis.

"It's fine Annie" said Curtis as he smiled and Annie smiled at him.

"Well Curtis, you need to take your medicine now, my master has just finished making the new batch of medicine.

"Alright then, let's go" said Curtis as Alina smiled and she allowed him to walk ahead as Annie and her followed behind him, Alina could see that Annie was overjoyed that Curtis was finally feeling better.

"Where are you going Alina?" asked Maddie as she looked at Alina who wore her cloak as she looked like she was going out.

"Ahh well I am going to the waterfall, I need to get some freshwater, we are almost running out" said Alina as she smiled.

"Ahh, I see" said Annie.

"Yes, I will be right back" said Alina as she was holding many buckets in her hands.

"How about we go with you, I don't think that you will be able to carry all those buckets back on your own" said Maddie.

"You want to come?" asked Alina as she looked at Maddie.

"Sure why not we can help you, right Matt?" asked Maddie as she looked at Matt.

"Right" said Matt as he nodded his head.

"Oh, alright then, thank you guys, let's go" said Alina as she smiled.

"Wait, if you guys are going, then I am going too" said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie just rolled her eyes at him, of course he was going, he followed them everywhere.

"Alright Ollie" said Alina as she smiled.

"Hey Annie, why don't you come with us?" asked Ollie as he turned to look at Annie.

"I don't know, if we all go, Curtis will be left alone, Ivor isn't here after all" said Annie.

"Well why doesn't Curtis come with us as well, you should ask him, going outside would do him some good" said Ollie as Annie had to agree with him, he made a fair point.

"Well I have to ask Curtis first" said Annie.

"Ask me what?" asked Curtis as he walked to where they were all standing, right before the front door of the house.

"Oh I'm going to the waterfall to fetch some fresh water, and Maddie, Matt and Ollie are coming with me, we were wondering if you wanted to go with us too" said Alina as she explained and she smiled.

"Alright, let's go" said Curtis.

"You want to go out?" asked Annie in surprise as she looked at Curtis.

"Sure, why not?" asked Curtis as Annie looked at him.

"You see, he said yes, come on let's go now" said Ollie as he smiled and Alina laughed.

"Well alright then" said Annie as it would seem that they were all going out today.

"Hey Annie, take my bow and arrows along with you, the waterfalls are a perfect place to practice" said Alina as she knew that Annie had practicing her skills and she wanted her to improve more, she was almost getting better than her.

"Okay" said Annie as she walked to the other room to get Alina's bow.

"Well let's go now, before the sun gets too hot" said Alina as she smiled and she led the way as they all followed after her and Annie Matt closed the door behind them as she held Alina's bow in her hand.

"You know, I always wondered why you and Ivor lived very far away from the rest of the people?" asked Maddie as she walked past the other houses.

"Ahh well, that's because my master always goes out into the meadow to collect herbs and leaves that he used to make medicine, so he decided to live closer to the meadow" said Alina as she smiled as she explained.

"Ahh I see" said Maddie as they could now hear the sound of the waterfall as they approached the bridge.

"Yes, it's actually very cool, out there, it's only me and my master" said Alina as she smiled.

"We have to be careful, it's a steep way down" said Alina as she turned right on the bridge and she slowly made her way down to the edge as they reached the ground below.

"And here is the waterfall" said Alina as she smiled.

"It's even more beautiful when you see it In person" said Ollie as he smiled.

"I know right, and the water is always so clear, and fresh and blue" said Alina as she bent down beside the edge of the stream and she filled the buckets up with water as Matt helped her carry them as she smiled at him and thanked him.

Anne bent down as she dipped her hand in the water, it was so cold, very cold.

"Careful, it's cold" said Alina.

"Oh isn't this place just so beautiful, wonderful and quiet, Curtis how do you feel?" asked Alina as she looked at Curtis.

"It is quiet" said Curtis as he had to admit that the serene atmosphere was very nice.

"Hey, how about you take a walk around, it will allow you to do some exercise" said Alina.

"Yes, that's a good idea, you wouldn't mind me coming with you Curtis?" asked Ollie.

"Not at all" said Curtis.

"Come on then" said Ollie as he smiled and Curtis followed after him.

"You know… I still can't believe that Curtis isn't a person" said Alina as Annie laughed.

"Well it's hard to tell the difference, he does look so much like a person" said Annie as she laughed.

"So much so that I am a bit disappointed I…" said Alina as she was cut off.

"Don't tell me that you had a crush on him?" asked Maddie as she started to laugh, that would be the best thing she had hard in a long time.

"Is it that obvious??!!?" asked Alina in shock as she looked at Maddie, as Matt and Annie laughed at her reaction.

"Well yes… I could tell that you like him" said Maddie as she laughed and Alina looked at Annie.

"I didn't even notice" said Annie as Annie laughed.

"Well I did see some few hints" said Matt.

"Oh no, then… does that mean that he knows as well?" asked Alina in worry.

"No" replied Annie, Maddie and Matt in a chorus as they shook their heads.

"How are you all so sure?" asked Alina.

"Well Curtis is not the type of being to realize when someone has feelings for him, he's that oblivious, so he doesn't know" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Maddie is right, let's just say that Curtis and emotions such as feelings don't go together, he doesn't understand them in that way" said Annie as she explained.

"Oh thank goodness, I do not know what I would have done if he actually noticed" said Alina.

"Besides, it was only a phase, I don't feel like that for him anymore" said Alina.

"Consider yourself lucky Alina, Curtis Is the last being that you would want to fall in love with, he wouldn't even notice, he's so cold, so annoying, the one only person that he actually cares for is Annie" said Maddie.

"Wow" said Alina.

"What are you guys talking about?" asked Ollie as and he Curtis walked back to them.

"Nothing" said Annie, Matt, Maddie and Alina all at the same time.

"Okay?" asked Ollie as he knew that something was up.

"Anyway, there, we are done" said Alina as she smiled.

"Let's go now" said Ollie.

"Wait a minute, let's stay here a bit longer, so Annie can practice a bit" said Alina as she looked at Annie.

"Okay" said Annie as she smiled.

"Right, so you see that tree over there" said Alina as she pointed to a tree above.

"Yes" said Annie.

"I want you to try to shoot an arrow there, don't worry about losing it, just try to hit it" said Alina as Annie nodded her head.

"Alright, so good luck" said Alina as she smiled and Annie smiled as she held the arrow in her hand as she took out an arrow and she placed it on the bow as she took aim, but before she could even try to focus a sudden shriek startled them all as they looked around them.

"What was that?" asked Ollie in confusion as he looked up into the sky as the shriek came again.

"Caw" came the loud sound.

"Eagle" said Alina in alarm.

"What do you mean Eagle?" asked Annie as the sound came again as she looked up into the sky as she saw a mighty brown eagle hovering over them as it cawed.

"What is an eagle doing here?" asked Maddie in confusion as in the same moment the Eagle stopped flying above as it dived down, heading straight for them.

"Watch out Annie" said Matt as he pushed Annie out of the way as the Eagle almost hit her.

"That's not a normal eagle, an eagle wouldn't fly so low" said Maddie as she dusted herself off after trying to dodge the eagle.

"Are you alright Annie?" asked Matt as Annie nodded her head.

"It's coming back down" said Curtis as the eagled cawed once again and it made it's descent lower to the ground.

"Don't move everyone, you will only become it's prey if you do" said Alina as she could not even finish her sentence when out of nowhere the eagle swooped in and went straight for where Annie and Matt were standing as Matt could hear it coming and he pushed Annie out of the way as the Eagle used it's mighty claws to pick up Matt.

"Matt!!,Matt!!" called Annie and everyone else as the Eagle took Matt without warning.

"Annie" called Matt as the Eagle lifted him higher into the air as it cawed.
