Happiness Bug

The Next Morning.

Nia was smiling very brightly, she was in a very good mood, and no one even Selene's nonsense could make her loose this mood of hers.

"Umm Hi Nia" said the brown haired witch who called Nia for Selene a few days ago.

"You look very happy" said the girl as she smiled, to tell the truth, this was the first time that she had seen Nia so happy.

"Oh Hi" said Nia as she replied and smile cheerily.

"I am??" asked Nia

"Yes Nia, you are smiling a lot more" replied the witch.

"Oh?" said Nia as she put her hand to her face, she did not even notice that she was smiling.

"Yes, what happened for you to be this happy??" asked the girl as she just had to ask, this was a surprise to her, she knew that Nia had been unhappy for some time now, but suddenly she was extremely happy.

"I don't know??" replied Nia as she genuinely did not know why she was so happy?? maybe it was because she and Hunter spent some time together last night, but that possibly could not be why she was so happy... right??

"Oh okay" said the girl

"But if you were bitten by a happiness bug, I would love to be bitten by it too" said the girl as she laughed.

"Haha" replied Nia as she laughed too, if only there was such a bug, then everyone would be happy.

"Well, I have to go now" said the girl.

"See you later" she said as she smiled and walked away.

"See you... later" replied Nia as she smiled.

The girl said that she would see her later?? did that mean that they were friends?? then if they were, it meant that Nia was making many friends lately, not everyone was like Hunter who was very quick to have a friendship, so Nia was sure that she and the girl were friends now.

"Where were you last night?" asked Bruce as he looked upset.

"What do you mean??" asked Hunter as he looked clueless.

"I was on night duty right??" said Hunter.

"Oh is that so??" asked Bruce as he gave Hunter another chance to be honest.

"Of course" said Hunter

"Okay, well then Hunter, tell me why, when I went to check on you, you were nowhere in sight" said Bruce.

"I could not find you anywhere" said Bruce as he raised an eyebrow at Hunter.

"So tell me where you went, and what nonsense you are up to" said Bruce

"Did you check outside the camp?" asked Hunter as he did not look panicked at all.

"No why would I??" asked Bruce

"And that is exactly why you did not find me" said Hunter

"You see, everything looked very calm in the camp, so I decided to patrol the outside premises of the camp" said Hunter

"If you had checked outside, you would have found me" he said as he threw an annoyed look at Bruce.

"Oh... Umm" said Bruce as he was at a loss for words, he really did think the worst of Hunter, while he did nothing at all, now he felt bad for accusing Hunter of causing mischief when he did not.

"Umm what??" asked Hunter as he scoffed.

"I am sorry for doubting you" said Bruce

"You really do think the worst of me" said Hunter

"You cannot even trust me" said Hunter as he turned the tables on Bruce, Bruce wanted to catch Hunter, but it was Hunter doing the catching and accusing right now.

"I am sorry Hunter, you are right" said Bruce

"Wow, so fast to admit your mistake" said Hunter in a mocking tone.

"But I agree with you, you are right it is your fault" said Hunter

"Because if you had any trust or respect in your methods, you would not have expected me to do anything funny, since according to you, I was threatened very well" said Hunter.

"I agree with you Hunter, I should learn to trust you" said Bruce as he admitted that Hunter was right.

"Good that you do" said Hunter

"Well anyway, if you would excuse me now, I have somewhere to be" said Hunter as he started walking.

"Oh or except, you want to follow me?" asked Hunter as he turned back.

"No of course not" said Bruce

"Okay, just checking" said Hunter mockingly as he walked away.

He was truly dubious, not only did he remove all suspicion Bruce had on him, but he had also made Bruce feel bad for not trusting him in the first place, talk about being three steps ahead.

"What's wrong with him??" asked Luk as he walked over to Bruce.

"Yeah what happened to him?" asked Willis as he joined them.

"He is upset with me" replied Bruce

"There is nothing new there" said Luk as he felt like rolling his eyes.

"No but this this he deserves to be upset" said Bruce

"I did not trust him, when he did nothing wrong at all, but what he was told." said Bruce

"Oh okay, well that's a first" said Luk as he was surprised.

"I see, well goodluck with trusting him" said Willis but he kept the last part to himself.

"It really is a first" said Bruce

"For once Hunter has a real reason to be upset" said Bruce as he shook his head.

"Well as Willis nicely put it, Good Luck" said Luk

"Willis, let's get out of here, I am starving" said Luk as he turned to look at Willis

"Sure why not?" asked Willis

"What's on the menu??" asked Luk as they walked away.

"Bird blood" said Willis as he laughed.

"Ewww" said Luk as he did not look pleased.

"Hey Nia!!" said Hunter as he called Nia's name.

"Oh Hi Hunter" said Nia as she turned and smiled at him, and it made Hunter smile back, she was getting more comfortable with him, which was a good thing, it was exactly what he needed.

"How are you?" asked Hunter as he smiled.

"I am good, and how are you?" asked Nia as she smiled back at him.

"I could never have been better, as I see that pretty smile on your beautiful face" said Hunter

"Haha, you joke too much Hunter" said Nia as she laughed.

"Who said anything about me joking??" asked Hunter and he looked at her intensely.

"*Ahem*" said Nia as she cleared her throat.

"So do you want to come inside?" asked Nia

"Sure why not?" said Hunter as he followed behind Nia.

"Nia we are friends right?" asked Hunter as he needed to be sure once more, he had decided that it was time to put his plan into action, the sooner the better.

"Yes, of course we are" said Nia with a smile

"I like being your friend" said Hunter as he smiled.

"Me too" said Nia as she smiled and looked down.

"Hey Nia, has Selene done anything lately?" asked Hunter

"What do you mean by anything??" asked Nia as she looked at Hunter.

"Anything, as in Anything horrible, weird or terrible lately?" asked Hunter

"Well no, expect you count the fact that she turns her room into a new island every single day, there is nothing evil she has done lately, she has been very quiet" said Nia as she had by now accepted her fate of having to clean a different realm of Selene's room everyday.

"She must be planning something" said Hunter to himself, he did not trust her at all, she could not just be quiet like that, she must have has a plan, which was why he needed to act fast before she did, and Nia was the key to that.

"It's horrible that you have to clean Selene's dirty room ever single day" said Hunter

"I know, but you learn to live with it, and honestly, I would take cleaning her room everyday, rather than having to deal with her face to face" said Nia as she sighed.

"Nia what if I told you that there was a way that we could both get rid of Selene?" asked Hunter.

"What do you mean get rid off??" asked Nia carefully.

"I mean for her to go very far away, and never be able to trouble us again" said Hunter.

"And how do you want to do that?" asked Nia as she was not sure of this.

"What if we... you know get rid of her" said Hunter.

"How??" asked Nia

"We poison her" said Hunter

"Umm, okay, well you can do that yourself, I don't get why I need to be involved??" asked Nia

"Because Nia, I cannot do it without you, I need access to Selene to do that, and you are her maid, and you have the most access to her" said Hunter

"I am not sure about this" said Nia as she was hesitant.

"Think about it Nia, we will get revenge...revenge for killing my boss and you lady, and revenge for her treating you like rubbish" said Hunter.

"Think about it Nia, having Selene out of our lives would be like heaven, and most of all it's not like she does not deserve it.... oh no yes she does, she deserves to die" said Hunter as there was anger in his eyes.

"But I will not force you to do anything you do not want to" said Hunter as he calmed himself down, as he noticed that Nia was scared.

"Just consider it, and tell me your answer when you are ready" said Hunter as he left, he needed to cool himself down, he was so close to getting revenge and Nia was going to determine whether he got it or not.
