60 Chapter15: A Relic of the Past.

While this nice and comfy scene was going on in the Yaoyorozu Mansion, somewhere in an underground facility, a man strapped with numerous pipes and medical equipment sat before a young boy with pale blue hair and a zombie-like complexion.

"Sensei, our plan has completely been destroyed by the rich brat. There are no more heroes, nor are there any villains, only enforcement and criminals and the latter is a dying profession, where the crimes have fallen ton all-time low and are getting negligible by each passing day. If this goes on there will be no League of Villains, most of our underlings have been locked up and the few remaining are hiding away to save their skins." The young man spoke in an irritated voice as he fiercely scratched his neck.

"There will always be problems like this, they are called 'wild cards' and in each era, one or two show up who can change the delicate balance of the world. The ones who are born to change the world, to give it a new direction, in the olden days they were called many names, each lived on for thousands of years. Some made religions to bring the change while some chose the path of hegemony, and Yuki Yaoyorozu is one of them." The faceless man spoke in a raspy voice.

"A very few remember a man, who called himself 'Destro', the one who wanted to destroy the bigoted norms of the society and the tyranny of the Anti-Meta Army. The man was a charming leader, who spoke of the free use of quirks, believing that the free use of quirks is a basic human right. To fight for his ideals, he unified the liberationists to form the META LIBERATION ARMY."

"Their approach was a militant one and that made it easier for the government back then to chain him down and incarcerate him. After his defeat, the Meta Liberation Army was disbanded and the name 'destro' faded from the people's memories."

"While he tried, but ultimately failed to bring the change he wanted to see in the society, another wild card was born. So much better than his predecessor, who slowly changed the world without them even knowing, they changed. They changed so fast that in a matter of years, not only us villains, but also the heroes vanished from the face of this earth. He stood up to bring the change and now the masses carry his will, the spark of change has now turned into a bolt of thunder that is running across the world."

"Sensei, give me a few Nomus and I will finish him once and for all," Shigaraki exclaimed.

"Not like that little one. Even if you manage to kill him, nothing will change. Very frustratingly but I have to admit that he reminds me of my brother, you can kill a man but you can't kill a dream, isn't that what you used to say Yoichi?" All for one smiled with the distorted features that made him look even more repulsing.

"He passed on his dream to the masses, you may kill one but you can never kill enough. The little ember he kindled will burn fiercely in the hearts of those who listen to him speak."

"So, is there no way, do we have to live our lives out hiding like sewer rats?" spoke an agitated Shigaraki.

"No, my dear disciple, the problem with men like him is that they are very difficult to kill, they were chosen by destiny itself, and to refuse its will, how is that an easy task. But no matter how hard the problem, there will always be a solution."

"For men like him, who were born to be an example for others, the easiest way to deal with them is to make an example out of them. To crush them ruthlessly and let the world watch them at their lowest, to pass on the message that there is no salvation, no hope. Only fear and endless darkness await the world, let them remember the Symbol of Fear once more. To begin an era of everlasting darkness, an era ruled by fear, the era of the League of Villains."

Shigaraki who was in deep thought felt like the clouds have cleared from the sky and all the doubts and worries that plagued him have brushed away with a wave of his master's hands.

'Only he, only sensei is worthy of my respect, the one who had always been patient with him unlike his parents and... and when I lost them, only he was by my side when I lost them when I was at my lowest. He always encouraged me, supported me and it is for him I am who I am today. And someday, I will stand proud as his successor, as the leader of the League of Villains, I will definitely make him proud.' Shigaraki looked at his master with fierce determination and his master appreciated him even more.

"The people think that the League of Villains is a relic of the past, but the time will come when they shall be faced with their greatest fear again when they will face the darkness, as it engulfs them slowly, as it extinguishes hope and any semblance of it that remains. Once the bearer of lights dies this time, I will end what was borne of me, and with One for All gone, what will stand against us?"

"Our time to act is imminent Tomura, have patience and the world will bow to us, accept us as their rulers, their Kings, their Gods. All we have to do is wait for the right moment to act, and once we do …." The raspy voice trailed off.
