Chapter 14: Family Time.

Suzume Yaoyorozu and her daughter waited eagerly for their son to arrive home as they watched the press conference coming to a closure.

She asked the maids to prepare a feast in celebration and congratulate Yuki for his success. Momo quickly named a few items, while the butler committed them to his memory and went about to prepare for the lunch.

"Mai, inform me at once when my son returns, welcome him, and ask him to join us in the Dining Hall. Meanwhile, call Ryuji and ask him of his schedule and if he has plans to return tonight." Suzume spoke as she checked her phone for a dress she would wear for lunch.

A car stopped before the majestic entrance of the Yaoyorozu mansion, the guards went through proper protocol before they let the cars pass.

Two maids opened the car doors and welcomed them to the mansion.

"Welcome back, young master, the lady and princess are waiting for your arrival to join them for lunch." The maids bowed and guided them to freshen themselves up and tidy themselves up before the meal.

Yuki washed his hands and face and placed a warm towel over his face as he sat back on a recliner while the two girls were fussing about looking proper and mannered.

Yuki smiled at the two, seeing how close they became in so less time.

Waiting patiently for a while led this nowhere.

Yuki called in the maids to help them as the girls were getting nowhere with their current pace, leave lunch they might not even make it in time for supper if they are left to their devices.

The maids got them dressed and made sure they were in proper decorum, and after a few more minutes, the doors opened, as two beautiful girls came out walking like princesses from a fairy tale. Yuki smiled at the sight and teased, "who knew that a science-nut and a stray cat can look so pretty. Good job Saya and Mia, expect a bonus for the sight you presented me with, jolly well done."

The girls who were already fidgeting were now blushing in both anger and embarrassment. Both stomped their feet and pouted while crossing their arms in unison, while Yuki just chuckled. With the nervousness gone and seeing that the girls were quite relaxed now, Yuki asked the maids to lead them to the Dining Hall.

The doors to the Dining Hall were opened by the maids, as they ushered Yuki and his guests inside as they bowed in greeting.

'That girl did not take my offer, hmm… quite the pity. I liked the taste of her brewed coffee and her mannerisms.' Yuki mused as they entered the Dining HALL.

They entered the hall to see a luxurious sight that could rival the facilities used by the royal families.

A beautiful woman, sitting with a girl around their age, who was no less beautiful than the woman.

But, there was something about the woman, something that would draw their gaze back to her if they tried to look away.

The people might be unfamiliar but the woman's striking resemblance with Yuki was extremely apparent. With her beautiful silver hair, pale skin, and those beautiful azure eyes. One could say that Yuki was a male version of her, just a bit cheekier.

"Ara~ what a surprise, where did my little darling find these beautiful ladies? It is the first time Yuki brought back someone to the family mansion, and they turn out to be such beautiful girls."

"Come here, let mama take a closer look at you two. I wonder which one is my daughter-in-law, or maybe both of you... fufu~" She cooed as her beautiful eyes shifted from the blushing girls to the awkwardly twitching face of Yuki.

"Mum, you are embarrassing them. You can take a closer look after the lunch is done, I am sure they won't run away, right?" Momo chuckled as she gave a hidden thumbs up to Yuki, who saw it and simply sighed as he took his seat and asked Mellissa and Himiko to get seated.

"Well, sorry for the awkward display, these two, despite all of their flaws are my mother and sister. And mum and Momo, let me introduce these two. The one on my right is Mellissa Shields, a partner in my dream and business along with being the rookie I am going to train personally." Yuki spoke as he pointed his finger to his right.

Mellissa smiled and did a little bow in a curtsy, Yuki then pointed to his left where Himiko was sitting, "And the one seated on my left is Toga Himiko, the stray kitten I managed to pick up somewhere along the way, cute, ain't she?" Yuki chuckled while Himiko growled at the intro and as soon as she remembered that she was sitting before his family, she blushed and buried her face in her chest.

Yuki started laughing at the sight and ruffled her hair, "see, the cutest, right?"

The others just smiled while Himiko pouted.

"Sure, she is cute.. but Yu-chan, why do I have this feeling that you kidnapped her?" Suzume asked as she tilted her head.

'Sharp as ever' Yuki just smiled at that question and did not say anymore, seeing Himiko was about to cry being reminded of the hardships she had gone through, Yuki placed his hand gently on her head and smiled.

"Well, let's say that she had a rough time growing up and somehow or the other, I managed to find her, and here we are. Simple right?" He chuckled.

'Simple, your head!!' that was a common thought but no one dared to voice it out seeing tears in Himiko's eyes.

"Yare Yare~ what will I do with this crying Neko-chan?" Yuki chuckled as he lifted Himiko's face and wiped her tears with his hands.

Her amber eyes were still moist and clouded, Yuki knew it well that the scars that the time left on her will be hard to heal. But would he give up?

Nope~

"Hineko-chan, cheer up. The tasty food is on its way and then we will play with a lot of toys, anything you want, lasers, wool balls, and even those little sticks with fluff on them, come on who's a good kitty?" Yuki cooed as he dodged the bite coming towards his hand.

"Hmph, you baddie! All you know is to bully me, irresponsible baddie! My name is Huimiko and I am not a cat." She practically hissed like a cat whose tail was pulled.

"Whoa, angry kitty!" Yuki said as he kept patting her head to calm her.

The other three and other maids present had smiles on their faces without them knowing and those who watched Yuki grow up smiled brighter.

Yuki was a boy who always had a calm and mature aura around him, and to see him smiling so openly, interacting with someone other than his parents and sister, they were happy, they genuinely felt happy for their young master.

Suzume had tears in her eyes, her son was finally acting his age and even managed to find a friend who he can open up to. She simply walked up and pulled her son into her arms, "you finally found friends, mama is so happy for you."

She kissed Yuki's temple and held the hands of Himiko and Mellissa and smiled, "thank you for being his friends, even if he can be a cold block of ice or super cheeky sometimes, please bear with his antics."

She smiled towards the two girls, while Momo could not bear another second, to suppress her urge to drag the two to her room and have a nice long chat and some girl-talk.
