Girlfriend

There was a pin drop silence in the surroundings. Nurses and Doctors from the distance had a horrified look on their faces but soon changed into bewildered expression.

Many gang members couldn't stand the pressure and one by one, they slump to the floor with ashen faces. Some vomited blood and became unconscious.

Ban only used a minimal pressure but it was enough to deal with these annoying thugs.

"Who are you young man?" Dame gritted his teeth from the pressure. He was a 6th Order Enchant Divergent but he can't even lift his foot for a walk much less attack. The young man in front of him can take his life if he wants. Dame still maintain his dignified expression as he questioned Ban.

Oscar whispered beside Ban "This man is Dame Pitt. He has a son here in the hospital named Derrick." He look around in surprise seeing the thugs suddenly became unconscious one by one. He knew it has something to do with Ban but he didn't ask instead introduced the leading man in front of them.

Ban raise his brow in realization.

"The people inside this ward are my relatives. Looking at the familiar faces of these thugs, I guess I'm the one that you guys are looking for."

Troy glance at the man beside him who seems to be the leader of the gang. Sure enough, before the man lose his consciousness, he nodded to confirm the identity of Ban.

"You're the one who injured my son? Do you know that he was in deep coma right now? If you don't give me an explanation today, I'll do anything in my power to hunt you down even if it cost me everything." Dame scowled glaring at Ban.

Ban raise his brow and said "We indeed have a little misunderstanding back then. He tried to argue with my girlfriend and he even insulted both of us so I taught him a lesson." He snickered inside and continued mockingly "He can walk normally at that time though. I didn't thought he was so weak that he became a vegetable guy within few days."

Dame raise his brow and scolded his son inside 'For a f*cking woman, he loses his cool just like that? There must be something more to it.'

"Who's your girlfriend? I don't think my son would argue with some random woman in the streets."

"Elena Mist. Does the name sound familiar to you?" Ban smirk at Dame.

"You..."

Dame widen his eyes in surprise.

"Right.. She was my girlfriend I mentioned." Ban laugh and nodded.

"She was engaged to my son a few years ago! And you shamelessly declare that you are her boyfriend?! No wonder my son would fight it out with you brat!" Dame growled and look at his right hand man.

Troy hesitated for a moment but he decided to walk forward.

Ban smirk and glance indifferently at Troy "Are you sure about that?" Another burst of aura enveloped in his body trying to suppress Troy. Ban didn't plan to fight in the hospital but he can easily subdue the two if needed.

Troy felt his bones crackle from the pressure. His strength has been reduced by half and he knew the task was nigh impossible even if he and his boss make a tandem to subdue Ban. The floor beneath him started to crack.

Gritting his teeth Troy glance at Dame and whispered "We can't deal with him now boss. I can feel a dangerous aura around this young man."

Dame gritted his teeth in anger. After a moment of silence, he sigh in defeat inside. He also felt the same with his right hand man. He didn't even noticed Ban's arrival earlier. Trying to intimidate Ban might result in him suffering the loss.

Dame observe Ban for a while. The more he look at him, the more he felt Ban resembled someone he knew. He glance at Oscar who evaded his gaze but Dame notice a slight sly smirk in Oscar's mouth.

Dame change his expression and realized something. He muttered in a low voice "No wonder.."

"Fine. We'll meet again someday young man." Dame sneered and he turn around with Troy. He didn't care about the thugs littered around unconscious.

Inside the ward...

Few minutes back...

Sophia was having a family meeting with her parents.

The Sophia was covering her redden face as her parents glance at her with bizzare faces.

"I didn't misheard right Pete? Ban call our daughter his wife?" Lisa look at Peter for confirmation.

"Mmm." Peter nodded while smiling.

Earlier, when the couple suddenly panicked looking at the thugs outside their room. An unfamiliar man suddenly appeared and introduce himself as the Head of the hospital. He advice the two to remain in the room as he was dealing with the crowd outside.

The couple could only nod and thanked Oscar before remaining back to the room. They didn't plan to call Ban and their daughter fearing the thugs might harm them especially their one and only daughter.

After a few minutes, the door suddenly opened and they could hear Ban's voice outside the room following by Sophia entering the room with a blushing face.

Sophia smiled after entering the room but she felt the silence and look around.

Petrified, Sophia noticed her parents looking at her with gawking expression.

"Sophia, what is going on about the two of you? Did you really have a relationship with your cousin?" Lisa approach Sophia raising her brows.

Sophia meekly nodded confirming the suspicions of her mother.

Lisa change her expression and said "Honey, both of you are too young to enter in a relationship. I don't mind you going out with Ban since you are not related by blood but you should at least enter college or even graduate." She approach Sophia for a hug. Caressing her daughter's hair, she gave her an advice gently.

The couple had a simple mindset of the future. As long as their daughter find her happiness, anything don't matter. In fact, they were happy inside that Ban had set his eyes on their daughter. They trusted Ban unconditionally as they also treated him like their own child and they knew him since he was a baby. They always seen him protecting their daughter everytime somebody tries to bully her. They were thankful that Ban was there always protecting their daughter when they were away.

"Mm.. You should listen to your mother Little Sophie. I will have a chat on Ban in private about this matter. Don't stress yourself out. We are happy that you found your happiness." Peter smiled gently as he caress his daughter's hair.

Sophia felt warm inside and hugged her parents with a blissful smile.

"What did I miss?"

Ban suddenly entered the room with a smile.

Lisa was the first to respond "Nothing my dear. We're happy that your uncle can now be discharge."

Ban also smiled gently. He nodded sincerely without saying a word.

Peter look at Ban with incredulous on his face "Kid. Is that really you? I can't believe it after Lisa told me about your appearance. Seeing you in person, you became handsome that you almost caught up to me." He rub his chin inspecting Ban. This is his first time seeing Ban in a while. After hearing his wife's description of the new Ban, he couldn't believe her one bit.

"Hah! I won't compare myself to uncle's striking appearance. I am just your apprentice when it comes to looks." Ban joke around. He continued "I'm sorry I couldn't bring a present. A friend of mine says that there was a problem here in the hospital so I and Sophia rushed here immediately." He scratch his head.

Lisa wave her hand and said "I told you already. You don't have to bring us anything. You always do that everytime you visited. Seeing you visited in person make us glad."

Peter nodded with a smile. He said "Kid. You said you had a friend here? Don't tell me its the Head of this hospital?"

Even the mother-daughter pair look at Ban with interest.

Ban shrug his shoulder while smiling.

"It's true?!" Peter widen his eyes in surprise.

Ban scratch his head "I...uhhh. I am just friendly to anyone I guess?"

"..."
