The Unknown

While grandpa was eating,

I continued my tour around the house. In the second floor back window, you can see another house, approximately 500 meters away.

This house looks lively and glamorous. But beneath the mask were a lot of unexplained events happened on that house when i was still young until now.

Looking back i remember when i was a kid and we used to come to grandpa house every vacation, i meet a new friend whose name was Lisa, they just moved to the neighborhood and was living on that house.

I used, to visit Lisa and stay the night.

One morning, when it was only me and Lisa were at the house because her parents went to the nearby church.

We were playing at the front yard, when we heard loud screaming, crashing of broken glasses coming from inside the house. Even the passerby and other neighbor across or beside the house heard it.

To check if there was a violent happenings inside the house. 5 neighbors went inside to look what was happening, but instead of seeing someone inside the house. They did not see anyone but the inside of the house was totally ruined glasses can be seen all around, and even some of their things were torched, without creating much fire.

They went out bewildered with what happened and with what they heard earlier.

When Lisa parents arrived from church, we've explained to them what happened even the neighbors who were there to check and who heard what was happening also told them.

Not sure if they should believed what they explained happen on the house.

That night,

Because of what happened to their house, grandpa invited them to stay the night and they will continue to fixed the house early morning.

While we were all eating dinner, grandpa asked the couple if they have had the house check for feng shui or have it blessed.

"No, we haven't done any of that." Lisa mother replied looking at grandpa with a questionable look.

"Why?" Lisa father added, "should we contact someone tomorrow to have the house blessed also after we finished fixing it up?"

"Hmm, i hope you don't mind me saying you this." Grandpa said

"You don't have to worry, go on." - Lisa father replied.

"Before my wife died, she always told me a story regarding the house. When she was a kid, that housed used to be a large well, you can even put at least 20 small well inside it. and because it is too wide and too deep, a lot of people fell on it, some was save while the others did not."

"After having and accumulation of 38 deaths without even recovering the bodies, the officials decided to cover it up, and build a municipal building on it. Once the building was finished and people started to work there, there are times that someone will die accidentally or for an unknown cause there are also times that they will hear loud screaming and things will get broken."

"After just 2 years of operating, they create another building away from that old building and stop all the transactions and works there while they transfer to that new building. The old building become abandoned and wasn't used for almost a decade but during those times that the building wasn't used, there will be instances they will hear screams of help and hatred, the building began more and more ruined."

"A decade after, that's the time that they break down the building to build a house, but during those times, workers also died for unknown cause, and others went missing. When i got married to my wife and we transferred to this house just to be near her family, I've witness myself those loud voices of screams and there were a lot of family who bought that house but won't last, within a week of staying they will move out of the house."

"I don't know if you should believe me about this, but that's what i know regarding the house." - grandpa finished talking.

Hearing what grandpa said, i was really afraid, because those times that i sleep on their house i also hear voices, tolerable enough not to wake someone but a light sleeper like me automatically woke up even just a the opening sound of an old door.

Lisa also started to cry, when she heard the story that grandfather told us.

"It's alright little one, no need to be scared." grandpa tried to calm Lisa. "for the meantime you stay here for a while, not until you have the house check or get blessed." he added looking at Lisa parents.

The couple agreed to ensure the safety of their only daughter Lisa.

A couple of days passed after that incident and they were already planning to leave the neighborhood as too what the feng shui experts told them, that the housed was beyond help and it became a passage to the other world.

Before the summer vacation ends, i stroll around the neighborhood and happen to pass by the house.

When i was passing by behind the houses, i saw something that attracts my attention it was near that particular house. I was so caught up with what i saw and tried to follow it, but ended up lost to a unfamiliar surrounding.

It looks like a normal ancient neighborhood, that have those ancient houses.

People passes by without even bothering me.

Unaware of what to do or where to go, i started to panicked and was about to cry when i heard a voice from behind me.
