Chapter Thirty Six

Mercy could not concentrate. She was greatly troubled. Though she had absolute faith in hers and Felix's love but she also knew that the power of First love could never be over emphasized. Many never loved again once they lost their first love. Many marry on the rebound as a result of that loss and had never been happy. Some may love again but it never was as strong as their first love. Yet a few find love such that even their first love could never hold a candle to. She was fervently hoping that her love was such a love so that no matter what Gift does to take her own first love from her, she would not succeed because she knew how fiercely a woman who desperately desires something was willing to fight to get it and to the extent she would be willing to go to achieve her goal and she did not know if she was strong enough to stand against her knowing what she did about her.
