Chapter Thirty Five

Felix came back but did not come to live with his elder brother but with Joseph, Lawrence's elder brother as per arranged.

That evening, he dressed up and went to visit Mercy. He had been eagerly wishing to see her. Now he had to travel a longer distance to see her.

The trip was worth it on all counts. First the joy he saw mirrored on her face when she saw him was tangible. He also felt an overwhelming answering joy in his heart at the sight of her lovely joyful face.

'How was your trip ?' she asked as she hugged him. He suddenly felt tired. The stress of the past few days started weighing down on him. He rested his head on Mercy's shoulders and heaved a deep meaningful sigh.
