Night approached, the previously pale blue sky turned dark, spotted with shimmering stars, and Jacob's face lit up by the flames of the campfire. A warm orange glow settled on his face. His line of sight rested on Anna who was moaning in pain occasionally.
He set the water to boil in the water container made of bamboo stems. It was tightly woven, just right for boiling water. The place was bitingly cold, yet he felt none. He wore a thin black leather jacket over a white tank top, that revealed his slim figure. His tightly clasped hands made the green veins in his hands to pop up.
His broad shoulders exhibited a shadow of a vampire lord waiting for the prey in the dark woodlands. He gritted his teeth thinking, "What could have happened? How did Anna end up like this?"
There was still no sign of the search parties looking for Anna. When Jacob took Anna to his board, it was a normal morning and the yellow sun was shining, golden rays tumbling down the clouds.
