Jacob jogged fast to the water bed to fetch his abandoned belongings lying in the dry rock, and also he fetched enough water to clean the blood stain on Anna. When he intended to turn back to run, he paused for a moment, he then picked his newly made bamboo water container from the load and filled it with clay from the pool.
He then hastily ran back to the tent where Anna was lying alone. The feeling of leaving her injured and unconscious all alone in the woods made his heart rate pulsated.
His usual walking time from his resting place to the pool would take twenty minutes, but today he ran back and forth in just seven minutes in total.
Only when Jacob zipped open the tent and checked Anna, his heart rate eased. He squatted down next to Anna and picked a bowl to pour water in it. He neither hesitate nor delayed his actions, he swiftly wiped the dirt from her injured foot and proceeded to hold her foot in the appropriate position.
