That night Melissa kept on turning on the bed until morning, after bathing she went to check on Rosa and gladly she was starting to feel better.

"How are you doing today?"

"I am doing fine." Rosa answered standing up.

"No don't stand, just lie down, am glad you're doing fine." She stated sitting down next to her.

"Thank you, you're really a good person if not for you I don't know what would have happened to me." He stated with a lot of emotion.

"No I am not a good person I am just doing what's right, leaving you there to die wasn't a good thing." She stated looking intently at her, she smile and she smile back.

"Get some rest I will come to check on you later, I will tell them to bring for you something to eat."

"Thank you."

Melissa joined everyone on the table, she served herself some grilled chicken, boiled potatoes and some salad.

"Enid!" Melissa called getting attention from everyone from the table.

"Yes my lady."

"Can you please take some breakfast to Rosa."

"Yes."

The king didn't dare asked what was going on, it seems like he knew everything that was happening in his palace even though he seemed quite like that, After breakfast she went to the library.

It has been almost two weeks and the library was where she was spending most of her time she has been reading a lot just to keep her mind busy not to think about Demetrius, she has been thinking about him almost all the time.

Whenever she closed her eyes she would see him either walking inside there chamber, having breakfast with her or sleeping next to her, it was a torturer without him.

Every morning after breakfast she would go there read until lunch, after lunch she would also do the same, but there was something she couldn't deny she was missing Demetrius greatly.

Helena had been so friendly towards her there was no day that she passed without checking up on her, she would always make sure that she had breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sometimes she would even offer to spend the night with her but she would refused, Helena had also been preparing for her engagement party for the past few days.

And today Helena was supposed to go pickup her dress for engagement party, all other things were already prepared.

As for Rosa she had already healed and went back to work, Since Melissa saved Rosa the servants have been so thankful to her and they have come to conclusion that she will make a good queen along Demetrius.

"Can we go to the market today?" Helena asked Melissa who was busy reading. She asked her the first time but she refused and she ended up going alone.

"No I don't feel like going." She replied not even paying attention.

"Please, maybe you can find something good to where tomorrow and also for my engagement party." She pleaded and also she recalled that Demetrius will come before her engagement and it was only one day to go.

"And why would I need a dress for tomorrow, I mean I have a lot of dresses."

"Because my brother is coming back tomorrow and you need to look good." she stated smiling at her. Melissa knew very well what she was trying to do and also what she was saying.

The moment she heard Demetrius was coming back, her heart started to beat, she was suddenly going to see him. Oh how she has missed him.

"And why is that? I always look good in everything I wear." she said flushing her a smile.

"But he has seen you in all of them."

"No, he hasn't."

"Okay, how do I convince you to come with me to the market, I really don't want to go alone today."

"Okay I will come with you."

"Thank you, let's go."

The ladies went to the market and Melissa got to by three different colors of dresses, of course Helena told her Demetrius favorite colors.

The next morning she woke up really early she was si excited that her husband was coming back. She got dressed in one of the dresses, she was stunningly beautiful, before she left her chamber she checked herself on the mirror, satisfied with the way she look she left the chamber.

Wherever she was passing, she left the scent behind and people were really talking about it, and complemented her, she was really smelling good.

"What's with the make up and the scent?" Helena asked.

"Oh no! is it that bad?"

"No."

"Then what is wrong? Are you sure I didn't over do it?" She asked frantically. She didn't want Demetrius to think she that she was trying to look good for him.

But why was she doing this? she indeed wanted to impress her with her looks.

"Nothing, you look amazing and I am sure when my brother sees you he is going to be amazed by your beauty." She smiled and passed her.

After breakfast she went to the library she just wanted Demetrius to arrive soon, she was not even concentrating on the book that she was reading.

Her ears were outside on the gate and also on the door, whenever she hears someone passing by the door she would think that someone was coming to tell her that Demetrius was calling her or may be it was him and her heart would beat wildly.

The day ended without Demetrius coming and the feeling she had at first before Demetrius left was starting to come back but she didn't want to think about it, she just hoped that Demetrius was busy and that is why he didn't come, she hoped that nothing happened to him.

"Are you okay Princess?" It was the queen who ask, ever Since they started eating they have noticed that she was not eating at all.

Melissa was perplexed since when did she care about her, as far as she knows, they were not in good terms because of what she did.

Everyone on the table was waiting for her to answer.

"Yes, I am fine."

"Then, what is wrong?" She asked with caring tone.

"I think my stomach is upset." She lied, she felt like she was acting a little weird. she has never asked about her before.

After dinner she went back to her chamber, she was feeling a little down, the feeling didn't go away. she removed her gown and put on her night dress and went to stand by the window.

All her hard work of dressing for him went on waste, tomorrow was Helena's engagement party and she prayed that he would come. She just climbed the bed and slept.

Meanwhile outside the garden the shadow of two people could be seen.

"The job is done your highness, The crown prince is dead, he is no longer with us."

"I hope you didn't any leave evidence?"

"Yes your highness, the job is clean."

"And what happened to his men?"

"The two decided to outsmart us and we killed them."

"What about the others?"

"One escaped and the other one is in critical condition."

"That is great, I will deal with the remaining, tomorrow come for your money and make sure after that you disappear from this palace, understood?"

"Yes master." Like that the man left and the other one went to the palace.

"Mother we did it, finally he is dead, Demetrius is dead." He chuckled and his laughter echoed across the room.

"Yes I told you son, patience pays, we didn't even have to have blood on our hands, cheers for that."

"Cheers to us mother." He announced after her mother poured for him some alcohol inside their glasses.

"What is the celebration for?" The king asked.

"Oh Dad come on in, we are just celebrating because finally my sister is getting engaged to Alex, a man he loves." He lied grinning widely he couldn't lie he was excited that Demetrius was dead. Her mother who didn't know what to say laughed nervously.

He will be the next King and now he needs to treat his father good for him not to suffer during the crowing. He has really work hard for it, he had to hire someone to kill him.

He had tried many times to kill him that he has never succeed but finally he won, he won.

"Should I join the celebration?"

"Yes why not dad." He said then pour some for him in his glass.

"Cheers dad."

"Cheers." they cheered.

The next morning Helena woke up really early the day she has been waiting for was hear, she was very excited, but she was also sad because his favorite brother was not there yet, but she remembered that he promised that he would not miss her engagement party moreover his brother always put his promises.

Her handsmaid already prepared her she was just putting her jewelry and looking at herself in the mirror when someone knocked on the door.

"Good morning." Melissa greeted with a smiley face.

"Good morning Meli you look amazing."

"Thank you, you also look amazing."

"Girls you can go." She told the three girls who were preparing her.

Melissa woke up early with hope that Demetrius will come today, she prepaid herself but not like yesterday, she was afraid that she was going to be disappointed again.

The girls were chatting happily when suddenly got interrupted by a knock by the door and Helena told the person to come in and it was none other than her mother.

"Good morning Melissa?"

"Good morning."

"How are you feeling today?"

"I am doing quit better today."

"That is good." The queen knew what was going on with her, she knew the feeling quite well, she also use to experienced it, when her husband went to fight in the field.

She wasn't sure that he would come back alive, but thank God he did and they are together now.

"How are you feeling my dear?" She asked Helena.

"I am okay but I am a little nervous."

"Don't worry this is normal."

The two girls walked down and at the same time, Alex and his family were at the entrance, of course the only person that Melissa noticed first was Ivy.

She was in yellow gown she was as beautiful as always, but she didn't want her here.

The two families get engaged as Alex talked to his future wife.

Melissa was also introduced to Alex's family and that is when she learned that, Ivy and Alex they don't have a mom, the duchess died when the two were still young and the duke has been the one taking care of them since then.

After the introduction, the duke chat with the king while Helena continue to chat with Alex.

Melissa couldn't help but wonder, what they ere talking about.

The party was about to start but Demetrius was not yet there, Both Melissa and Helena kept staring at the door but there was no sign him.

Both the Queen and Prince Charles were looking at Melissa with twinkle on their faces they seemed to be so proud with what they have done, in this party there were the only people who knew what happened to Demetrius and the reason why he was not there yet and also the reason why he didn't come yesterday.

Melissa was starting to get worried. The bad feeling she has been having was getting worse she was trying to put in the back of her head but it was impossible, she has been managing to put it in the back of her head but she couldn't anymore.

'Did something happened to him?' She couldn't help but wonder.

The Queen walked to her daughter.

"Helena I think we should get started is getting late."

"No mom I am waiting for Demetrius."

"Maybe we should start, he will find us on the way."

"No Mom he promised that he will be here, let's wait a little longer, I also talked to Alex and he told me he was ready to wait."

Helena stated calmly, she was already fuming with anger, she was also getting worried this was not like his brother at all.
