Chapter 1 : 1

Me? I never knew my dad... Mom always said he was a silly little boy who couldn't handle a baby...she was exactly my age when she had me. she thought she was gonna die but not because of labour. She was scared of what Nana and pops were going to do to her.

Nana and pops wanted her to go to college to become a nurse but that didn't happen because after she had me she just couldn't concentrate in school. She kept failing out and had to repeat the 11th grade thrice. After she graduated from high school she said she wanted to be an accountant and went to business school. That was where she met Lisa's dad. He was young and rich and was head over heels in love with her. She didn't feel the same way but she enjoyed the money he lavished on her so they kept it going. They splited up when his parents had an arranged marriage for him and afterwards she found out she was pregnant with Melissa. It was the best thing ever because even though they were not together anymore she still had him to spend lavishly on her during the pregnancy. He flew her to the best resorts for vacations and got her a beautiful beach house.

Oh did I forget to mention that she had Mika a year before that... She barely spoke about her relationship with Jeff; mika's father.

And while she was having the time of her life Mika and I stayed with Nana and pops.

I was just 9 while Mika was barely a year.

She had Lisa in the fanciest hospital in the country and he bought her a beautiful Porsche as a gift.

He made it clear to mom that he didn't want anything to do with her and Lisa but continued to sponsor Lisa.

By the next year, Mom was pregnant again. Just like me, his dad was anonymous. Mom raised us together and l never felt any different about any of them, I loved them all so much. I loved Maine the most though, he made the cutest baby with his big green eyes and brunette hair.

Mom worked in a little bank and got child support from the government.

I hoped that was all till kobby came along. I decided to keep an open mind on how many more siblings l was getting.

I was in a public high school and played a young mom after school since mom had to work afternoon or night shifts at a Cafe.

I staggered out of the room and headed to my sisters' room to ensure they were out of bed.

Our morning routine was quite simple.

After mom wakes us, I go back to make sure my siblings didn't go back to bed. While they take turns to have their bath, l set out their uniforms. Mom packs up lunch for all of us while Maine, Mika and Lisa gets ready for school; by that time l would be ready for school as well. So while mom gets kobby ready for the day, we have our breakfast.

When we are all ready for school, mom drops Lisa first since her school is on a different lane then Maine and Mika since they attend the same elementary school, she drops kobby at the baby center close to my school and that was my spot too.
