Traku clan's camp (2)

As Reku was observing the Traku clan's camp, he noticed that it severely lacked basic defenses like simple fenses or even a single watchtower, it was mainly comprised of tents and huts.

Not only that, there is also a large caged structure which housed a dozen or so orcs.

The more Reku stared at it, the more he believed it served as a prison for their captives and as such, a new plan and goal started to hatch inside his mind.

With a wicked smile plastered on his face, Reku and Bous began to make their way back towards their camp after a few minutes of observing the Traku camp.

The short journey back was entirely uneventful and as such, they quickly found themselves back in their camp after an hour of traversing the slopy and forestry terrain.

By this time now, the massive bear corpse and the loot they had just got from the dead Traku hunting party they encountered hours ago were now within the safety of their camp.

Upon his arrival, Reku was immediately greeted by Jan and a few orcs.

"Welcome back, I trust you have already located where the camp of those bastards is." Jan was already informed by Roum about Reku's previous conversation with the captive Traku orc earlier and as such, already knew what is his intentions for tracking and scouting the Traku clan's camp a few hours ago.

"Of course, that's why I need you to prepare everyone because tomorrow we will be descending upon them and wipe every one of those Traku bastards." hearing Reku's words, Jan immediately laughed at this before leading him towards a nearby campfire where a piece of meat from the dead bear's body from earlier was waiting for him.

Hearing the aroma of the still-hot large meat in front of him, Reku couldn't control himself anymore and immediately jumped on the food, eating and munching on it like a savage animal.

"Truly, the taste of a wild bear's meat is undeniably delicious." Wuka watched from the sidelines as he watched Reku eat the food with pride in his eyes, after all, he was the one who cooked the food.

After Reku was finished eating the food, he stared at the sky and noticed it was finally getting dark.

'Well, I better head to my tent to sleep and rest, after all I'm going to need my strength for the upcoming battle tommorow.' Reku thought as he began to make his way towards a nearby large tent which was specifically made for him and his large body.

But before he can go inside and lie down, a thought suddenly crossed his mind, causing him to stop in his tracks and scratch his own chin with slight disappointment.

"I just forgot I have something else important to do right now." Reku muttered under his breath before he began to make his way towards Molk's tent.

As he traversed in their small but complex camp filled with multiple tents, he encountered a few or so orcs who were in the middle of eating their fill, before he finally arrived in front of his destination.

In front of the tent was a small rack filled with various tools and items, along with Molk himself who was too busy sorting out the loot his clan has just recently acquired to even notice his presence.

And as for why he has all the loot his clan has just recently acquired, it is because Reku appointed him to be their group's armorer and the one in charge of fixing and making stuff for the group just the other day.

You could outright say he is the group's engineer and repairman.

By now, Reku's growing power and influence on their group has already given him the authority to finally appoint orcs from their company to take over such positions.

It's only going to be a matter of time before Reku takes the position of chieftain for their nameless clan.

After he was within a meter away from Molk did the busy orc finally noticed him.

"Oh Reku, I didn't know you were there, sorry." Molk dusted himself up before standing up and apologizing to him.

"No need to apologize." Reku shrugged him off before patting him on the shoulder.

"So what do you want?" Molk asked Reku, immediately getting down to the chase.

For after all, he was a busy orc and as such, hates to get disturbed over such unnecessary matters, even from Reku himself.

"I need you to create two dozen throwing spears, their tip must be made of either flint or stone, not just an ordinary wooden spear with it's tip carved in and sharpened." Reku demanded, smiling as he showed his pearly whites towards Molk.

Hearing this, Molk was immediately surprised at Reku's request.

'What's he going to do with that large number of spears.' Molk thought before inquiring Reku about this.

Though two dozen were a small number, considering their current numbers, two dozen is already considered a large amount by Molk's standards.

Not only that, all of them are armed with weapons, not to mention the loot they just acquired from the Traku hunting party, in addition the absurd request of specifically using stones and flints as the spear's tips, he really felt the need to ask about it.

"What are you going to need them for?" Molk asked.

"Uh.. rain them down on the Traku camp?" Reku responded, unsure whether to respond to the most obvious.

At this, Molk was immediately shocked and thus, inquired more about it.

"You're attacking a Traku camp?" Reku slightly laughed at Molk's question, before staring him down with a pitiful gaze.

"No one told you about it?" Molk cast his eyes away from Reku and stared at the ground below with a downcast expression.

Due to his fondness of creating and building items, he rarely partake in fights and battles and as such, was mostly regarded as a coward and mostly ignored by others.

This went unnoticed by Reku as he placed his hand on Molk's shoulder before smiling at him.

"Like I said, I'm going to need your talents and skills in building stuffs, you may not noticed it yet but it's going to become a great contribution and help at the near future, mark my words." Upon hearing reku's words, Molk couldn't help but feel happiness well up inside of him and as such, immediately nodded and carried out Reku's orders.

"It will be done tomorrow, and by the way, I have one last question to ask of you." Molk said with a grin.

"What?" Reku nodded his head, indicating Molk that he was free to ask him the question.

"Though spears that had flint and stones as their tips deals more damage than a sharpened wooden spear, both spears can still kill an unarmored orc, considering that the Trakus we are facing tomorrow only wears leather as armor and as such, can easily be penetrated by a sharpened wooden spear, why do you choose the one that takes much time to make?" Hearing this, Reku couldn't help but smile at Molk before responding to his question.

"Of course silly, the more heavy the tip of a spear is, the longer the range it can be thrown at." Reku responded with a smug smile on his face before excusing himself from Molk.

"Since you have much more work to do, I'm going to leave you to do your own work without any disturbances, see you tommorow." Reku said before strolling away from the open mouthed Molk who is watching his retreating figure with surprise.

'Just where did he get that kind of knowledge.' was the thought that lingers inside of Molk's mind.

Comparing Molk to the craftsmen from the other prominent clans and tribes in the Gorkatak mountains, this type of knowlegde is still considered basic and as such many is already aware of this, except from orcs that came from petty clans and tribes.

After walking for a few minutes, Reku finally reached his tent where he began to lie down and sleep.

When the time of night and darkness finally came to a pass, ushering in a new day did Reku got up from his long and relaxing sleep before making his way outside of the tent where he along with the others began to feast on their breakfast which only comprised of sausages smoked by Wuka the night before.

As Reku chewed on the now tasty sausage, he noticed Jan make his way towards him.

"You ready?" Reku managed to blurt out a question while still chewing the food.

"Of course, all of us are." Reku smiled at Jan's words before standing up and staring at all the orcs gathered around him, some were already finished eating, some were still not, nevertheless Reku did not mind as he began to ask everyone of them.

"Are you ready to spill the blood of your enemies?!" Reku asked them before planting his sword on the ground.

"YEAH!" all of the orcs simultaneously cried as they raised their blades high on the air.

'That's all I wanted to hear.' Reku thought before picking his sword up from the ground and began waving it high on the air as he joined in his fellow orcs cries.
