Gigantic object

"Captain, are you alright? Is there a problem?" The command center was concerned about Vik's condition. What was happening? "No problem at all, kids..." Vik regained composure with the voice of the command center. She clenched her fist and empowered the arm piece of her armor. "I've never seen such a powerful alien before, and it's the first time I've encountered a speaking one. I commend you, but your fate will be the same as the others." The flow of power in her fist culminated in an explosion. The alien's body was torn apart. "Ah... Maria, clean off the filth on me." She was covered in the alien's blood. "Of course, sir." Maria quickly cleaned the armor. "I told you there was no problem, kids." Now she needed to continue on her mission.

She had started the operation to approach the aliens and mow them down again. As she did, the question in her mind also came up. What was that alien? What was it talking about?

"Captain, what's your status?"

"Ah... I've gotten quite close to this massive entity and killed many aliens. About..."

"2354, sir."

"Exactly 2354."

"Great, captain, we await your further good news."

"AAAAAAAAA!" She fueled her rage to the maximum. She hated the aliens. She was getting closer to the ship. They were now quite far from the Earth's surface. They had entered the atmosphere and could see the massive entity approaching them. The ship resembled the UFO models designed by humans. There was a large hole underneath. It was clear that this was where the flight power came from. There were many hatches on the sides. Aliens were constantly coming out of these hatches and diving towards the Earth. What could be the weak point here? How could she render the undamaged ship ineffective?

She couldn't think too much, she had to be quick. She couldn't let this thing get close to Earth. "Maria, full power fusion weapon."

"Fusion weapon ready." The structure on her chest changed and elongated like a tank barrel. "Fire." The blue light formed in her chest shot out as a beam towards the massive entity. All the aliens in the beam's path turned to ash, but the beam had no effect on the entity. "Ah... as expected, this will give me some trouble." This was just a test shot. Vik suspected that this wouldn't damage the ship. "Maria, can you analyze the ship?"

"Unfortunately, sir, the ship has superior cyber defenses that I can't breach. I have the same information about the ship as you do."

"I'm not surprised. Then our target should be that large opening. After all, it must be connected to the engine."

"Most likely, sir."

"Yes, definitely, but still, it's incredibly surprising how they could obtain such technology."

Vik swiftly approached the entity even closer. When she reached the position to target the bottom opening of the entity, she stopped. "Let's finish this. Invading species." Vik hadn't thought. No alien had tried to stop her from doing this. "And fire the fusion laser at full power." Vik looked at the massive laser beam with gleaming eyes. The smell of success was closer than ever before.

As the laser beam entered the opening, the void filled with a bright blue light. Vik felt like she had won. But it took her some time to realize that the scent of success was actually a scent of failure. The laser beam was coming towards her in a massive dimension. She couldn't escape. The beam was too fast.

"An-emergency damage, h-high damage, armor power at 30%." She was falling towards the ground without being able to do anything.

"Armor power at 25%"

"Hey, gu-guys, I'm s-sorry..." Her voice couldn't reach anyone. She continued to fall helplessly.

"Armor power at 10%"
