Altier; The Triology

It is said that when the Door of Truth is opened, immense power will be granted to those who were able to unlock it. However, it can only be opened by the keys "the world itself" has granted to seven heroes the gods themselves have chosen. An intelligent witch whose only purpose in life is to oppose the Demon Kings. An elusive mercenary who thirst for vengeance on demons and hell itself. A freedom fighter who struggles against humanity's slovenly nature. A prideful angel who wants to protect their home and place in Heaven. A powerful demihuman who yearns for justice and a world of equality. A kind elf who takes from the strong and gives to the poor. And finally, a young man who carries great ambitions. Exactly seven heroes, huh. And out of the millions of people that exist, I was chosen to be one of them. Not that I'm complaining. It's just that, fate really is a funny thing-... But I do wonder. What lies on the other side of this game that we play? What exactly is the dark truth of this world? I'll find out, no matter what happens. Even if it means exploiting those close to me. ~~~ The Thumbnail art is not my creation. All the credit however goes to the ones who first made this beautiful masterpiece. If you are the artist and you not like it, please contact me and I shall remove it at my earliest convenience. There is no NTR, per say. This story is one part of the "Trilogy" series because this book itself is one of the three main stories that makes up the true story of the Altier franchise, so please look forward to that. Now with that said. Get yourself comfortable with some snacks, music, toys( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and start reading!

Not Even Human, Only a Tool (REUPLOADED)

February 21, 1976

Holy Kingdom of Soreh, Riad's Estate

(One Week Before Present Day)

(Riad's POV)

There is a beast that dwells within me.

To put it simply, it's like the personification of both the concept of wrath and animosity, making it no different then that of a demon.

That same beast is a demon sealed inside me, yearning for nothing more but freedom and the ability to go on a rampage.

And for years on end, it has been relentlessly trying to tempt me into surrending my body over to it.

Usually, I can hold my own against its influence, but sometimes it can be a lot more difficult when I'm in a very sour mood.

But I can't let myself be swept away by this tide of emotions, no matter how intense it is.

Which is why, I simply need to relax. So I stop for a moment to calm down and breathe a little.

"A true leader doesn't rule with fear or iron might, but rather with his brain and intellect."

Those were the words a certain woman told me long ago. And, along with many other things, it was that same wisdom that helped anchor my sanity.

No matter what happens, I have to always remember that becoming a tyrant won't help fix this situation.

Fear or friendship, which one is stronger?

Honestly, that really depends on the person and their ability to "manipulate".

Personally, I believe that "friendship" is far more dangerous then "fear" itself.

Because once you mix "friendship" with "falsehood", you obtain the power of "deception".

And it is through deception and the ability to control the flow of information, does one truly gain the power to manipulate the playing field.

In short, the element of deception is vital to the plan.

Which is why I need to establish "friendships" with other people, even if they are but a means to an end.

So as long as I remember that, I'll never lose sight of my goal or succumb to my "inner darkness".

Recalling everything that I was truly after, I approached the demon that dwelled inside my subconsciousness yet again.

It's bloodthirsty aura was intimidating, even for me.

But I did not falter, because I knew that I was the one who really was in control.

My mental fortitude held strong against its persuasive influence, eventually forcing it into submission yet again, essentially give up.

Another close call, huh.

Swiping away the small beads of sweat that formed on my eyebrows, I sighed.

I have been dealing with this demon's presence for quite some time, so I have plenty of experience with this type of situation.

However, if this continues to keep up, I don't know how long I could hold that beast off before I finally start breaking at the seams.

At this rate, I'll be one hair trigger away from unleashing a horrid power so dangerous, it could consume perhaps even the world itself.

And once that happens, there will be no turning back.

In other words, I'm no different then a ticking time bomb.

*Sigh*

I seriously don't got time to waste anymore.

In addition to the element of "deception" that I need to obtain, there is another person that I need to find to make this plan truly come to fruition.

And if I don't, then all might actually be lost.

"Hm?"

Suddenly, I sensed a particular pair of eyes watching from behind me.

"Who's there?" I boldly asked.

"Ah, Riad! So this is where you were!"

Coming from around the corner, a particular girl came into view with a surprised expression.

Bearing a "short stack" physique and long purple hair tied into two long ponytails, it was clear that this wasn't no ordinary girl.

This was my girlfriend, Via.

"You okay? It sounded like you were looking for me."

"Yeah I'm fine. It's just that you weren't in the room when I woke up nor was you anywhere downstairs when I went to go check. I was kind of worried."

"Oh my bad. Come here." I said, gesturing her forward.

A second later, Via hugged me tightly. As she did, I gave her a warm head pat, making her face melt in pleasure similar to that of an adorable cat.

Afterwards, the two of us began walking back towards the kitchen.

As we were walking, I couldn't help but ask.

"I know you was looking for me, but couldn't

you atleast cleaned up before you came downstairs? You look like a mess."

"And whose fault was it?~"

Instead of taking offense, Via simply teased me.

Her joke made me fall

silent as I began scratching the side of his cheek out of embarrassment.

"Heh. You practically were plowing me, you know? I should've told me you was a sadist~....." Continuing with a fake victim tone, she even raised her hand and posture about to add on to the obvious facade.

"Yeah, I think I was too horny last night. I didn't hurt you, did I?" I asked, feeling a little worried for her.

"To be truthful, yeah, you were pretty rough, not going to lie. It kinda hurt." She admitted.

I clenched my hand out of guilt.

This is exactly why I felt like I took things too far.

Thankfully, Via seemed to speak in a "water under the bridge" type of tone. And, as if unburdened by what happened last night, she continued to walk carefree with her arms crossed behind her head.

Unlike her however, she later noticed that I had stopped a little behind her, eventually tossing me a curious glance.

"You okay?" She asked.

"My bad. Is there some way I can make it up to you?"

Honestly, with clenched hands and a slight dejected expression, I couldn't help but feel responsible for what I did and apologize

Startled by my naturally worried expression, Via blushed a little on the inside.

Probably understanding that I was serious about this, she took a moment to consider.

Then, appearantly the perfect answer came to mind.

"Hmm, I'll forgive you if you give me a sweet and sloppy kiss~" She asked.

Before I could say anything, she stood on her tippy toes with closed eyes and puckered lips.

*Sigh*

Once a pervert, always a pervert, huh.

For a second, I was willing to give her what she wanted, no questions asked. But unfortunately there was something about Via that kept me away.

So instead, I simply walked on, leaving Via to only kiss the air in front of her.

It was only till after she realized what happened before I would reply why:

"Maybe after you brush your teeth. Your breath stinks."

"How rude!"

"Heh." I snickered.

"Are you two done flirting now?"

Since the two of us were relatively close to the kitchen area, we caught the attention of a blonde haired lady who watched us with narrowed eyes.

"Oh, Yamir? How long have you been awake?" I asked.

Due to her sheer lack of presence, I almost didn't notice her until after she announced herself. And even then, I was still surprised to see her up so early.

"Awhile."

Suddenly, she yawned.

"Couldn't sleep?" Via asked.

"No thanks to you two."

"Don't tell me you were listening in on my ass getting pounded in~" Via playfully teased her.

"You're disgusting."

"What was you doing then?"

"Stargazing, I guess."

Although Yamir was physically sixteen, the mature atmosphere she carried would make most believe she was atleast nineteen.

In terms of height, she was taller than Via, but fell a few inches shorter than me.

Her skin was gorgeous, giving off this almost god-like luster. Though, compared to Via, she lacked a little both in the tits and ass department, however, her modest body was endearing in its own way.

However, putting that aside, the most bewitching aspect about her would be her purple eyes which had a cosmic resemblance about them. It was as if a beautiful universe was pocketed away in each.

However, despite how beautiful she was, she wasn't human. No, far from it. Despite the bond that we share, Yamir isn't my "friend", nor is she my partner.

She is a weapon. A tool simply for me to merely exploit. Just like all my other "friends", she is nothing more but a means to an end.
