Alteria

Important: To all my readers, especially those who stuck with me since chapter one even though there were so many errors made (lol), I just want to thank you all for reading my story. My goal is to finish this story as it is the first part of a 3 seperate stories I'm planning to write. However, time, money, and reality is telling me that I have to do something else first. I have to do something that will help support myself and my love in writing stories from my head. I hate taking this course of action, and I will definitely miss the characters and some few concepts I made in terms of superpowers and abilities, but I'm going to have to give Alteria a very abrupt end. I'm sorry for not being able to do what I promised and I thank you for understanding why I have to do it. However, my idea of putting the stories in my head into words and share it to all still hasn't changed. If I am allowed to, in the indefinite future, I will write again. The title will change, the characters will have different names, the way the story goes will be changed, but the plot inside my head will remain the same. If that time actually comes, I will be more than glad to have you all read it! Again, thank you all for reading Alteria. That is all for me for now. Farewell! - OwariDa02 Lyrica Ley Rael, a 16 year old highschool student found herself in front of death's door after seemingly having her body move on it's own to save an old man from being hit by a speeding jeepney. But as she begin to accept the horrible fate she's facing, a voice started speaking to her inside her head, asking her what world she desired before the voice sent her in another world. And after having an agreement with the voice she somehow forgotten, Lyrica's journey in Alteria finally begins!! ------------------------------------------------- The story starts slowly with Lyrica's past with her parents. I apologize for that. If you want to go straight to the real story and action, feel free to skip to chapter 8 after finishing chapter 1! One more thing, the book cover is not mine. If the artist wants me to remove it, please do contact me via Gmail and I will take it down as fast as possible. Gmail: Josephrobertmarbella@gmail.com

She's Terrifying

A long sigh came out of the girl with a melancholic face. And as the gentle wind caressed her dark hair and her red scarf, a holographic screen appeared before her charcoal eyes.

"Five thousand... That's all he's worth..."

[Fierock will end in five seconds]

Exactly five seconds later, the soldiers witnessed the girl suddenly falling on her knees. Worried that her life might be in danger, the kutsero and the soldiers hurriedly approached the girl.

"Are you all right?"

"You need to get yourself treated."

"Don't worry, this is only the side effect of my magic ability..."

"Now, what do we do?" Asked one of the knights who interjected between Lyrica and the kutsero. "She's right, Gilberto is not the real boss here. That being said, we still have our orders—and that is to bring Lyrica to the capital."

If they fail to bring Lyrica to the Hari, the sumpa that is inside them which they couldn't tell the girl would end their life. Either that or the Hari himself beheads them for failing their task.

"There's only one way to get out of this situation without having everyone killed." The girl mouthed as she tried to stand up. "Fight me."

The group of knights looked at the girl with shocked expressions on their faces.

"N-No, we ca–!"

The knight immediately covered his mouth with his hand before he could finish the sentence.

Back when Lyrica heard from Gilberto that the first Kalesa they have had encountered a problem, she knew it was the work of commander agario and the others. That's when she had a thought:

'They are still obeying the orders of the higher-ups, they still can't express their thoughts and I still can't read them at all. But whatever it is that's keeping them from rebelling against the kingdom, either it has been completely lifted, or the Hari made some alterations with it.'

That being said, the Hari himself created a loophole to the thing that's keeping the people of Kruule under his control.

'I don't know why that Uruk did it, but thanks to that moron, Riko and the rest were able to buy me enough time and I was able to find a way to increase my level in a short time. Had I not encountered the Wither Bees, I'm probably the one lying dead on the same spot as Gilberto.' She spouted in her thoughts as she gave the knights and the kutsero a stern gaze. 'As for these guys who still don't know the situation... Even if I try to elaborate on the loophole Riko and the others found, the fear that is already etched in them will keep them doing what they always do. How troublesome...'

A troubled sigh exited the girl's mouth.

"Now then, let's hurry it up."

"H-Hey, do you realize what you're trying to make us do?"

Lyrica understood where they are coming from. A fight against her would mean they will need to do everything to defeat and kill her. Unless Lyrica willingly surrenders herself, that's the only way this is going.

"Don't worry, I guarantee you all, none of us will die here."

Right at that moment, Lyrica saw the cooldown of Fierock from the corner of her eyes disappear. In that instant, she felt her strength growing back to how it should be. Given the situation they are in, where they cannot go to the capital empty-handed, what more could they possibly do other than do what Lyrica suggested? If this is the only way for Lyrica to escape, and for them not to face the consequences of letting the girl escape, wouldn't it be best to just do it?

"Come on, we ain't got all day."

After long thinking, which bored the hell out of Lyrica, the soldiers and the kutsero finally came to an agreement, they will follow what Lyrica suggested and fight her.

"All right then..." Lyrica uttered as she popped her knuckles. "Oh, before anything else, do any of you carry mana potions?"

Right as she asked that question, four out of six soldiers came out to have been carrying mana potions for themselves.

"I see, so four of you can use magic abilities." Right then, her headphones speak up.

[Now Playing: Hip Hop]

Soon after amplifying her agility with 40dB Hip Hop, Lyrica went to one of the soldiers and immediately knocked her out.

"Wha?!"

"So fast!"

Before the knight's unconscious body falls to the ground, before the others could even react, Lyrica targeted a fellow magic-user. She created an opening for herself by sending the knight a barrage of quick punches before copying Gilberto's roundhouse kick, knocking the knight's soul out of his body.

"W-We can't just stand here doing nothing."

"Right, let's go!"

While the others finally made their move against Lyrica, the kutsero is quietly observing the unconscious male and female knight who are left lying on the dirt.

"Take this!"

Whip!

"Breaking!"

Swoosh!!

"What?!"

"Her movement changed all of a sudden!"

"Look out!"

Upon watching the unconscious ones attentively, the kutsero thought:

'Knocking us out one by one doesn't seem to be a problem for her at all. If this continues, she'll be able to go without us having to chase her all the time, and we'll be able to live for showing that we tried to bring her with us. But...'

"Wasn't she supposed to be exhausted after fighting the high commander?"

"She's too fast and too strong for us... She's terrifying."

"I don't have time for idle chatter. Here I go." She replied to the two calmly.

The kutsero shifted his gaze towards Lyrica and the remaining two soldiers, his eyes trembling in fear.

'Just the thought of her knocking me out with either her fists or her kicks scares the living soul out of me.'

Before long, the two remaining soldiers shared the same fate as the other knights. They both fell to the ground unconscious.

'Is it death or the thought of getting knocked out by Lyrica that scares me the most? I don't know anymore.'

The girl looked menacingly towards the kutsero with scary eyes.

"I take it that you're ready."

In response to Lyrica, the kutsero takes a fighting stance, his hands both shaking relentlessly as he held his sword in front of the girl.

"I guess you're not..." She uttered in a deadly calm voice. "... I'm sorry, but this is the only way."

Right at that moment, the kutsero thought, 'She's terrifying.'

The girl dashes with incredible speed, her left fist is about just a meter in front of his face. And before he knew it, his vision blacked out.
