A New Beginning

"What the fuck," I muttered to myself as I woke up, groaning as I felt a splitting headache.

' What the hell happened?'

" Are you okay, young shounen? "

I looked up to see a man wearing a strange costume looking at me in concern.

I took a moment to examine his outfit and was surprised, by what he was wearing.

He was wearing a blue skin tight body suit, with red and white accents on it.

He was also really muscular. Strangely he had two tufts of hair sticking out of his head.

" You took quite the hit. I am surprised you are even conscious." He said.

" I'm fine. Who are you though? And where am I?" I said.

The large man looking at me was visibly worried.

I was still confused, trying to figure out what was going on. I tried standing up, but I could hardly keep myself steady.

I felt a sharp pain, only to discover I was bleeding from my head.

" I am afraid you might be injured young shounen, hang on. I'm taking you to the hospital. " He suddenly said.

" What do you mea.. Whaaa..."

The man suddenly picked me up and jumped 20 meters in the sky. He landed on a rooftop and started jumping from one building to another.

" What's going on?! Who are you?" I shouted.

" Don't worry. My name is All Might and I am a hero. You were caught up in a villain fight and were injured. I am taking you to a hospital to make sure you're okay." He said.

" All Might?!"

' No wonder I thought he looked kind of familiar. Was I reincarnated into the My hero Academia world? Last thing I remember was... Shit! I can't remember anything!'

I was starting to panic, because I couldn't remember anything.

All Might noticing my distress sped up. Probably thinking, I was in shock or something.

A few minutes go by and we find ourselves at a hospital.

He goes straight into the emergency room and checks me in. He quickly hands me over to a nurse, and goes to speak to a doctor.

After they finished talking, the doctor came up to me. " Okay, son. Nurse Nami here is going to take you to the MRI room. We have to get your head checked out. Can you tell me what's your name and where can I find your parents? " He said.

I thought hard trying to remember anything about myself.

Unfortunately, I was drawing up a blank.

I only remembered I used to live a life before this one. I had family and friends. I also think I was older and not a child. I couldn't remember any faces or names. Not even my own, just places and events.

" Uhm... I don't remember." I said.

" You don't remember what?" The doctor asked.

" I don't remember anything," I said.

The doctor's and All Might's eyes widened in surprise.

Not being even able to remember my own name meant that the issue was more serious than they thought.

"Dr. Jin the MRI room is ready." A nurse interrupted us.

" Take him right away. I am going to have a word, with All Might-san." The doctor said.

The nurse then took me to an MRI machine. They also ran a bunch of tests. The whole process took about two hours.

I was then given a room and told that a doctor will be with me in a few minutes.

" Okay young man. I have your test results right here. It seems that you have some slight swelling in your brain and that you have a higher than normal level of brain activity. We don't know if this is due to your quirk or simply because of your injury. We already contacted your guardian. They should be here soon. " The doctor said.

I was silent for quite a while, trying to process my new situation. The Doctor left me alone for a bit. Probably thinking I was tired or something.

The doors suddenly burst open and a woman who looked to be in her late 20s came barging in.

Her hair was all frazzled and she looked quite frantic. A nurse came running after her, telling her to wait.

" Hitoshi! Are you okay!" She shouted.

Before I could answer, I was enveloped in a bone-crushing hug.

If I didn't know any better I would've guessed she was trying to finish what the villains couldn't.

' I....(Squeeze)... Can' t.... (Squeeze)....Breathe...)

I barely managed to choke out those 3 words, before I started to turn blue.

"Ms. Shinso you really shouldn't squeeze the boy so hard, I think he stopped breathing." The angel(nurse) said.

The woman who was trying to kill me suddenly let me go.

She kept apologizing and checking me over.

After I managed to catch my breath. I gave her an annoyed look.

She had an apologetic look on her face and said.

" Sorry Hitoshi, I was so worried after you ran off. I kept searching for you everywhere, I even went to the police. They told me a boy fitting your description was brought to the hospital after a villain attack. I came running as fast as I could. "

My eyes softened a bit after hearing how concerned she was about my well being.

I didn't know the circumstances that lead to this current situation, but it seemed that the kid whose body I took over, probably ran away for some reason or another.

I stretched my small hand and held her own and said. " It's alright, I am sorry I ran away."

I didn't know what was going on, but I figured I could obtain more information if I showed her some sympathy and apologized.

Figuring out my current situation was much more important.

*Sniff*

"It's not your fault. It's probably those kids who keep bullying you at school. I tried talking to the staff at school, but they never did anything about it. They just kept telling me that they're just kids and there wasn't much they could do. Maybe it's better if I transfer you out of that school." She said.

' Huh, so I was bullied.' I thought to myself.

The woman started asking me about what happened and who bullied me this time.

Obviously, I couldn't answer any of her questions and just stayed silent.

Noticing my distress the nurse who was standing in the room, then suddenly interrupted.

" Ms. Shinso you didn't give me a chance to explain. If you may, can I talk to you outside for a moment?"

They both walked out of the room leaving me alone.

*Sigh* ' What a day.'

I got off my bed and headed towards the bathroom.

Things were happening so fast, I didn't get even a chance to process what was happening around me.

I wanted to wash my face and freshen up a bit.

I went in and turned on the water, and after I was done washing my face, I started examining myself in the bathroom's mirror.

My face looked quite childish.

I looked to be around 8 or 9 years old. My hair was indigo-colored and flared out in large tufts around my head. It looked quite messy.

My eyes were dark purple, and were thin and somewhat triangular in shape, with no visible eyelashes.

They looked to be half-closed, and for some reason, I had very dark eye bags underneath them.

' Huh, I look kind of familiar.' I thought.

My mind started going through all the things I knew about the MHA world. It felt like there was something nagging at me.

' Indigo hair, dark eye bags... wait what did she call me? Hitoshi... Ms. Shinso, Shinso Hitoshi, indigo hair..."

' It's him, isn't it? That guy with the brainwashing quirk. He went up against that useless Deku guy and lost cuz of plot. I remember him, being really underrated in the show.

I mean a person who could literally mind control people should have been at least able to get into the Hero course.

I mean, I could think of quite a few students who got into the hero course with far less impressive quirks.'

" Still. A quirk as powerful as his has a lot more potential than what was shown. I wonder how far I can take it ? "
