I will protect you well

He took Letitia's hand in his and a wave of mixed emotions flooded his blue eyes: "Letitia, it's hard to articulate the emotions I'm feeling right now, I'm angry." 

"But I'm also helpless, I'm annoyed that I didn't come sooner or have you follow me around every inch of the way." His tone was sincere, but in his position, his honesty with Letitia terrified her.

  "I will protect you well, and if this happens to you when you are alone, you will call my name out loud." 

He gazed at her with a focused, serious look.

"But, but how can I ..." Letitia stammered, how could she call Joshua by his name? She was just a lowly sober-elves.

"You can." Joshua's tone was firm and unconsciously calming, "Wherever you call my name, I will hear you."

Letitia's face was tinged with a light pink and her ears were red instead, she felt hot in the room and couldn't tell if it was her face that was hot or if the temperature was too high.
