Chapter Eleven

Ashley's POV

I noticed the joy and happiness on everyone's faces when Andrea broke the news but I was lost, "who was Aunt Alice and Francine?"

"You will definitely be busy when they arrive Bianlca" Andrea said to Bianca with a smile

"Yes, definitely. I have missed them a lot especially Francine" Bianca replied as they all started to leave the table one after the other.

I didn't know why but I felt that I wouldn't get along so well with whoever our visitors would be.

"No need to freck out, Aunt Alice is the coolest and you'd definitely get along with Francine" Zolan said to me with a smile.

"Uhm, okay" I felt a little awkward around him

"You should get some rest Luna. You are looking very pale" he said as he was also about to walk away when I stopped him.

"Beta Zolan" I called out while he turned back. "It's Ashley, not Luna" I said. There was no point in calling me Luna, after all Leon already rejected me.

Zolan chuckled and nodded, "fine , Ashley. My name is Zolan and not Beta Zolan" he replied before walking away

Unconsciously I smiled at his back,he was handsome, muscular, and also friendly. He was better than Leon.

"If only Zolan was my mate" I thought wearing a sad smile and just then my wolf cowered in fear and then I heard the voice I hated the most.

"You seem to be getting closer to Zolan" Leon said as he tried to hold me but I moved back quickly

"Don't be delusional, Zolan is worse than I am" Leon said angrily. " Go to your room now the maids are waiting for you"

I walked back to my room quickly and I saw some maids waiting for me, with lots of skincare products

"These are for you, ma'am" they said together. "We have prepared your bathe, shall we?"

"Where is Martha?" I asked

"She should be in her room, ma'am"

I guess Leon didn't include Martha to join this team, I felt uncomfortable as I had to undress in front of these strangers.

"Can you please face the wall?" I said with a little harsh tone,while they exchanged looks before turning. I scoffed in disbelief but quickly took out my clothes and dipped myself into the warm bathe that smelled very nice.

"Do you need help, ma'am?" One of the asked while I shook my head in response. The soothing feel the water brought, made me feel like I was home again but suddenly I heard the maid's stamping their feet and I turned.

"Ma'am, you should round up with that now. We have others to attend to" One of the maid rudely said.

I faked a smile and raised my head higher. "Can you pass me my robe?"

But they all looked hypnotized as their gazes were fixed on my neck area. 

"Hello!!" I called out as I didn't know any of their names but they didn't seem to hear me and it was then I realized they were looking at my collarbone and my left arm, the mating mark and the name initial.

I quickly turned to my other side while hiding the mark. "I need my robe,now!" I shouted, already frustrated.

I went into the room and asked them to leave and immediately they felt reluctant.

"I'm sorry, ma'am but we must do our work to the finish"

"I thought you had other people to attend to. Go ahead, I'm fine alone" I protested

"We apologize again, but the Alpha sent us here and we must finish our work"

Just as I was about to say another word, someone knocked and the door was opened.

It was Leon, "what's going on here?" He asked as he walked inside like he owned the room

"Greetings to you Alpha Leon," they asked

"Now you look better," he said to me before facing them, "what was happening here?"

"The missus didn't allow us to finish our work," one of them said

"I didn't allow you?" I asked in utter disbelief. "You said you had other people to attend to and I just let you go"

"But..." another maid was about to counter me when Leon raised his hands.

"You want them to leave right?" He asked me. "Then fine, you all can leave, but I'd have to finish their work instead"

"No!!!!" We all shouted

"Are you disobeying your Alpha?" He asked in a scary tone while they shook their heads in fear

"I'm sorry, let them stay please," I said loudly as my heart kept racing.

"Why?" He asked with a smirk. "You wanted them to leave, right?" 

"No, no. It's my mistake, let them stay" I stammered fearfully as Leon came closer. He opened his mouth to say something but he stopped as he turned back and walked away.

I almost lost balance as he left. I was scared he was going to touch me again.

 "Ma'am, are you okay?" They asked as I nodded weakly.

"I need to wear my undies, please wait," I said and dashed into the bathroom and quickly tried to come out when I heard the maid conversing.

"Guys, don't you think something had happened between the Alpha and his rejected Luna?" I heard one of them say 

"Oh, stop talking here. She might hear us" another one said while the third one agreed with the first maid, "I think so as well. The atmosphere was so tense when Alpha Leon came in"

"And did you see the mating mark on her?"

"And a name initial tattoo.. letter L, it's definitely for the Alpha"

"Even after getting rejected, she still had herself marked by him. She's so desperate"

"I don't blame her, who wouldn't throw themselves at the Alpha? He is handsome, rich, and influential, all girls would want to throw themselves at him"

I scoffed in disbelief as my image was being ruined by those maids but I chose not to confront them, it would be petty of me to do so.

I opened the door and banged it harshly, before looking them in the eyes. I loved how they visibly shook.

"You should concentrate on the work you were given instead of saying false things you have no idea about," I said, and then sat on the chair and let them do their thing.

They left after they were done and I must admit that the bathing and skin prepping was one of the numerous things I needed. I just didn't like how those maids stood outside and gossiped about me.

"Well, you will get that often, Ash," I said to myself before closing my eyes to the sweet arms of sleep.
