What’s Alpha Doing?

Eden sat in front of a twenty-four hours convenience store. There was a bottle of water and a cup of instant noodles in front of her—super spicy chicken soup flavor.

While waiting for the noodles to cook. Eden put medicine on her wrist. So her hand wouldn't get swollen. Even though it was bad luck, at least only her left hand was injured. There was still a right hand that she could use to do many things.

[Damn! Twelve dollars for three hours' wages and one injury hand??? Seriously?!] She cursed when she saw lineup money sheets on the table.

"Damn you cheap!" Eden re-entered the salary that she received today from Mr. Firza into the school bag. Well… Eden was indeed fired, and her salary was used to compensate for the lost items. Even though Eden was absolutely sure the item was not lost. Bianca must have done something sly.

"Fortunately, there is still money from Aunt Hanun and a newspaper delivery for this week." Eden decided not to be discouraged. At least, She could pay the electric bill first with that money.

The savory aroma of instant noodles evaporated when Eden opened the lid. Just three minutes of brewing to make it cooked.

Eden stirs the noodles to mix with the gravy and seasonings perfectly. Eden devoured it quickly. However, tears came down when she took a slurp of the noodles.

"Oh, what happens to me?? Why am I this weak?" Eden wiped her tears and went back to eating even though Eden had decided not to be discouraged.

Eden pretends to be tough, [ these tears must be just the effect of the spicy noodle taste.]

But, no matter how much she pretended, the tears still fell. She couldn't lie to her heart. Eden felt so tired of her pathetic life.

"Oh, I missed you, Dad. Why did you leave so soon??" Eden took a deep breath and put the noodles on the table.

Eden looked up. The sky studded with stars greeted her. [Did you become one of those stars??] If that's true, did her father see Eden in trouble right now??

Suddenly a star fell, Eden was shocked. She immediately froze. Was the shooting star her father?

"Wish!! Right!! I can make a wish!" Eden quickly closed her eyes and prayed.

"I asked Dad to come back, um… that can't happen. Daddy is dead. Alright… I change my wish. I want someone who can replace father!" Eden closed her eyes, pleading for a shooting star.

Eden smiled. At least this childish thing could make her smile when her heart felt so bitter.

"I'd better go home." Eden finished her meal and returned home. She needed to rest her whole body tonight.

As usual, Eden returned home with a trepidation feeling that her mom would hurt her if she knew Eden didn't come home with a bottle of alcohol. Eden only earned a few dollars today, and she hadn't found a new job. How could Eden give all the money to her mother to get drunk while there were still many daily needs in their lives that must be met? The water and electricity bills were two months in arrears.

"Mom?" Eden enters the house, no one answers. Quiet …

"Where's Mommy?" Eden looked confused. No one was home. And the house was still as tidy as when Eden left it for the museum this morning.

After a few moments of searching, "No one home."

Eden was so tired to think, she let go of her bag and threw it on the bed. She immediately closed the bedroom door.

"Ah…!" She screamed in pain as she closed the door with her left hand.

"Aw… the swelling is getting bigger." Eden tried to move her hands so they wouldn't stiffen.

Because her hands hurt, Eden slowly took off all her clothes and went into the bathroom to clean herself.

Eden splashed her body with warm water. A necklace with a red pendant swayed as she washed her skin with soap. The only legacy from her father so that Eden would never let go of.

"Ah, it hurts," Eden groaned as she washed her wrists. There were bite wounds plus bruising.

Seeing the two holes, Eden thought of Alexander. Once again, the image of his handsome face played mischievously in Eden's mind.

"Argh!! Irritating!! Hush… hush… get out of my mind, you wet dog!" Eden chased away the dancing image of Alexander in her mind.

[By the way, what is that pervert wet dog doing right now??] Wow!! Wait!! Why did Eden even think about it??

So what was the King doing right now??

[This is how a woman should be! Big boobs, tight ass, and explicit body curves. Wide hips that can fit many children.] It turns out he was admiring the face and body of a sexy woman on the cover of a fashion magazine. Alexander tried to compare Eden's body with the model's body.

"Would you like me to invite Miss Selena here? Won't there be a party invitation the day after tomorrow for you, Lord?" Jared pointed to a picture of a model in the magazine. It seems Jared understands the alpha's annoyance; instead of finding a beautiful adult wolf mate, he gets a wild little rabbit that is very fierce.

"Selena must be busy lately." Alexander refused, even though Selena was his childhood friend, but there was no reason for Alexander to interfere with her life. They were both adults; both had their own busy lives.

"No one will dare disobey your orders, My Lord," Jared answered. Alexander needs a perfect woman at tomorrow's party. A big party from a company colleague.

"Hmm… is Maxi back yet? Why didn't he report again??" Alexander changed the subject, wanting to know the latest news from his little bunny.

"I'll call him, Lord." Jared took a step back.

"No need to call me, Jared. I am here for my king." Maxi came and entered Alexander's study. He bowed to the alpha before reporting everything.

"What did you get, Max?" asked Alexander to the point.

"Miss Eden was fired from her job as a delivery courier because her client accused her of stealing," reported Maxi.

"Good!! So I don't have to go through the trouble of getting the agent to fire her." Alexander chuckled softly. Maxi and Jared looked at each other. The alpha had a minor mental disorder.

"Then?? anything else?" asked Alexander again.

"Because of that client, Miss Eden sprained her wrist!" Reported Maxi.

"What are you saying??" Alexander pounded the table until it shattered; the table was split in two, the two betas immediately flinched in surprise.

"Spraining and swelling." Maxi was scared when he reported. He never thought his Alpha would be this angry just because of a human.

"Damn it!! I will kill that human!! Tell me, who dares to hurt my woman?!"

"Her name is Bianca, Miss Eden's classmate."

"Telling Jack to take care of it! Make sure she doesn't want to live and hard wish to die." Alexander clenched his fists. He asked Maxi to see his secretary.

"And you, Jared! Prevent everyone from giving her work! she can't work anymore!!" Alexander exclaimed; Eden's hand hurt; the girl had to rest.

"Whatever your orders, Alpha." Jared complied.

"If she needs money, she can work only for me! Keep following her, Maxi. Report everything. I still have to know who made her suffer!! I will repay them all."

"Yes, My Lord!" Maxi nodded in understanding.

"And, do one more thing, Jared! Call Selena!"

"Eh??"
