Sounds of rustling, footsteps, and strained voices floated over, it was evident that the people searching for them were passing by. As soon as it went quiet again, Audie drove his knee into Jacques' side, his heated face still not cooling down. "Do that again and you'll be losing teeth."

Jacques had a poker face on, wisely putting some distance between them. "Do what? My hands were occupied and you don't listen, I was just keeping you quiet."

Audie didn't want to talk about it any longer, he had another scenario to add to his ever-growing list of memories affected by selective amnesia. He was plunged into despair, his first kiss was supposed to be with a sweet Omega. Why did he have such terrible luck when it came to romance?

Jacques already seemed to have moved on, "We should find a spot to hide in for now." He said thoughtfully, "Moving around is dangerous because we'll just end up bumping into those guys."
