Incident

Waking up tired after the tests I did yesterday I stood up to do my morning routine and go downstairs since everyone else was already there talking and preparing breakfast.

Walking down the stairs it seemed that they heard me since everyone stopped talking and mom said. "My baby you woke up? You should have waited until I woke you up."

"I didn't feel like waiting mom." I said while walking towards her hug which she gives me every morning. Not long after we started eating.

After breakfast when everyone went to do their own stuff and I decided to go up to my room to start experimenting with all the parts bought yesterday.

I started by setting a connection to Grey Matter and Isodope.

I used Grey Matter for his intelligence and sometimes his size and with Isodope I created two copies of me to speed up work and sometimes to create tools to use when I was small.

First I needed to learn and understand the tools that I bought to work on electronics. Nothing was new to me since I have seen or used most of the tools at Nero's lab. The exception was learning how to solder since Nero never let me do it.

My main objective in this project is to make smaller individual parts with equal or better effects than the ones on the market. The first thing I needed to accomplish that goal was to build a working PC with basic parts just to test and replace parts as I go on.

While in the middle of work I suddenly heard a voice inside my head. It was grandma, doing what she did last time before she left.

She said. "Do you remember our small bet from last year little Azmuth?"

I was a little surprised by the sudden voice in my head but I recovered faster than last time and I replied in the same manner.

"Of course I remember grandma and as you can see I managed to figure it out. You do it by sending electrical signals directly to the auditory nerve in our mind, the signals are the same as the ones created by the tiny hair cells in our ears out of vibrations."

I managed to figure this out after a lot of research and some clarification from Nero. For me to do it I needed to set a connection to Disk Jockey instead of Ventrilosquid, since it is related to electrical signals that he can control.

Sadly since Disk Jockey cannot create the electrical signals, which is probably what grandma does, I can only do a work around by modifying the signals that are on their way to the mind to what I want to say.

"Hahahaha, that my grandchild! It took me over two years to do it. So as promised what do you want?" She said clearly happy for me.

"Thank you grandma, if it was not for you I would not have thought to do this. I would like to get a Virtual Reality helmet." I said truthfully

"Oh, a VR helmet? Do you mean the ones from Korea?"

"Mhm, mhm!" I said while excitedly nodding in confirmation even though grandma could not see me.

"Alright I will get you one but it will probably take a little bit of time since they are only sold in South Korea and they make it difficult to get from the outside. Now I know you are working on something, so I will leave you be."

"Thank you grandma!" I said before continuing what I was doing.

There were no interruptions after that and by lunch time I had built the PC and started installing the necessary stuff for it to run. The process was pretty simple especially with the case that I got which had space for everything and I still had a lot to spare.

After lunch I also downloaded many useful apps to test the effectiveness of the parts I created in the future and got my base line with the current PC.

With that I started to take apart and study parts that I bought taking notes along the way. Before dinner time came I decided to shut down everything for today and leave my room to interact a bit with the family since I was a bit tired from concentrating on electronics all day. After eating dinner I read a book and like usual when everyone was asleep I went out.

First I summoned Slash to feed him some poison and fruits that I sneakily took. After I fed him I stopped the connection with Hack N' Slash and surprisingly Slash remained sticking out of my hand.

Quickly I set up a connection with two other aliens to see if he would disappear but he still stayed. Now knowing that Slash worked differently from other aliens, probably because he is an independent being, like a pet. Next I decided to give him some commands and found that it was the same as when I had a connection set up.

Satisfied with the discovery I decided to let Slash hang around for a while and went on with my training. Unsummoning him when I decided to go back home to rest.

A week quickly went by with everyone going to UHA. My parents went to work, my grandparent went to help out wherever they could, saying they enjoyed being productive once in a while after retirement, and I went to class with Nero.

Standing in front of the house we were saying goodbye to my grandparents who were getting in their car. Just like last time when we were waiving at them I heard grandma's voice in my head.

"Little Azmuth I will be getting you your VR as you asked, I wont forget. Goodbye."

After my grandparents left three months went by with me studying with Nero and my parents working. Unfortunately today I was woken up by a scream from mother which brought dad running upstairs.

Surprised by the scream and a hurried pull out of bed I saw mom looking at something in the corner of the room but I was not able to see what she was looking at since she was holding me.

Dad who got to the room with a gun, which I don't know where he pulled it from, looked at mom and asked. "What happened?" He knew that mom would not scream for many reasons since she has been trained for many situations. Unfortunately this was not one of those situations.

"THAT THING WAS IN AZMUTH'S BED!" Mom said while pointing.

Still confused from the sudden wake up scream I leaned over to look at what she was pointing at and once I saw, I forcibly released myself from her arms before dad did something and said worriedly. "Stop this is my new alien that I got!"

It seems like I unintendedly revealed Slash to my parents because I forgot to unsummon him after his nightly meal. Looks like when mom entered the room to wake me up like usual, she found him in the bed with me and while pulling me out of bed into her arms, Slash was thrown across the room.

"Eh? Are you sure, all your other aliens are transformations why is this one walking around?" Mom asked still worried.

"Yes I'm sure mom, look. Come Slash." I reassured and I told Slash to crawl up to me, after he came near me I picked him up and put him on top of my head. He made himself comfy wrapped into a ball and looked at mom and dad innocently.

Mom was still wary of Slash, probably more by how it looked than by the danger it imposed on me and dad seemed to have relaxed since he laid his gun down on the night stand. He decided to approach slowly trying to seem unthreatening to Slash and said. "Alright honey you can relax it seems like we can treat it like a pet. See how it cuddles on Azmuth. Let me pet him."

"Mhm. Slash don't worry nothing will happen." I assured Slash to minimize any danger. Luckily dad was able to pet him without any issues although it probably just felt like he was rubbing a metal plate.

"See honey nothing happened. Did you call him Slash is that his name?" Dad said trying to convince mom to relax.

"Yes dad that's his name." I replied.

"Alright Elize what do you want to do?"

"Sigh... There is no helping it since it's part of his quirk I guess I just need to adjust to him being around. Lets get ready to go, we are running late, I also want to see what Nero finds out about your new little friend." Mom said while looking at Slash.

Luckily despite of my error everything ended fine and they didn't question why I didn't tell them when I got a new alien.

It wasn't long before we found ourselves knocking on the infirmary door at UHA.

After hearing some quick steps the door was opened and unlike before mom didn't just drop me off and said. "Good morning Nero, Azmuth got a new alien and I wanted you to see what this alien could do if possible."

To which Nero responded. "Oh. Is that so? Well come in lets see what this alien is about."

Walking inside I quickly set a connection to Hack N' Slash and told Nero to start checking.

Once he finished he looked at mom and dad and said. "I was not expecting this type of alien. It seems like he got two aliens that have a mutual relationship where one gets food and protection while the other one gets a good medium range weapon. Azmuth could you let me see the centipede?"

Summoning Slash as Nero asked mom made a face showing slight disgust for the insect like alien. Opposite to her Nero looked amazed and quickly used his quirk on Slash.

"This is amazing! This creature adapted to only drinking poison to live, but what's even more amazing is the seemingly impossible ability to lengthen his body without any consequences! Plus his exoskeleton in as hard as steel. Luckily you don't have to worry Elize, since it seems like there will be no harm from having him in ones body. The only worry is that if he is not fed and finds a chance he would leave the current host in an instant." Nero said excited to see a creature like this.

"That's good to know but I still don't like it. Anyways you said there were two aliens what is the other one?" Mom asked.

"Oh yeah. Well the other one is a frog like creature that generates poison in his body and disperses it as poisonous gas from his mouth, sadly it seems like its body is less durable than a humans."

"Alright that's simple. Thank you for the help, I leave Azmuth to you again."

"No I am more grateful, because of Azmuth I am able to see interesting stuff like this every day."

Once the day at work was over I was picked up and we all headed home. I was excited for today since a month ago, after I ran out of electronics to experiment with I continued with an old project. I continued because I had a computer that runs exponentially faster than the fastest computer available to the public even though it looked like any other computer.

I finished the project yesterday but it still needed a final install before it could run, and so I left it do do so until now. Once dad parked the car home I quickly took the spare keys from mom and ran inside. I was a bit too excited to see the result of my work and my parents were surprised about this since I never acted like this but decided to let me be.

Inside my room I quickly logged into my computer and after confirming that everything had finished as it should have I, with a deep breath pressed enter. "Click..."
