House Party(Part 2)

"I'm going to get a drink for myself. Just stick to your vape," I told Elizabeth. She gave me a thumbs up in compliance.

Making my way to the drink table, I put my hand on my hip and started reading the labels, trying to decide how wasted I should get. As I rocked side to side in indecision, a guy Elizabeth had introduced me to earlier sidled up next to me. Was his name Tom? Or Zach? Bill? He was honestly so forgettable.

"Hey, sexy. Having trouble picking out a drink?" Side-eyeing him, I saw he was wearing a hat indoors and reeked of Axe body spray. His gaze was very much south of my face, making me feel irritated, but I tried to be nice while still deciding. It was that same disgusting look I got a lot in high school.

"Yeah. I just don't know what some of this stuff is," I said.

The guy stepped closer, making me move over a bit too. "It's all good, and I bet you'd be fun drunk."

He tried to reach out to grab my hand, so I pulled it away, pretending to check out a bottle. "I think I'm just going to take two of these."

The guy was touching my shoulder now, and I could feel his breath on my face. "Two for yourself? That's really hot."

I'd sooner drink an entire bottle than fall for this crap. "It was nice talking to you. Enjoy the party."

"I bet I can show you a better time than whoever the other drink is for could." The guy stayed close as I tried to move quicker through the crowd. How annoying.

"I doubt that," I scowled. He wasn't half the man Jasper was. I could tell.

I quickly downed my drinks and kept walking around. When would Jasper get here? I wanted him to get this bug away from me.

As I wandered through my house, I spotted Travis speaking with some local drag queens. "Alex! Come take a shot, sweetie!"

I quickly attached myself to Travis and snatched his shot from his hand. Before I could drink it, the Tom-or-whatever-his-name-was guy who couldn't take a hint grabbed my arm.

"I'm talking to you!" he yelled.

"Let go of me!" I snapped, yanking my arm back. "Leave me alone! Freak!"

"Back up, loser!" the queens snapped, stepping between me and the guy.

The guy glared, but their united front seemed to finally intimidate him. I let out a relieved sigh, feeling a bit more at ease with Travis and the queens around me.

"Thanks, guys," I said, trying to steady my breathing.

"No problem, sweetie," Travis said, giving me a reassuring pat. "Just stick with us for the rest of the night, okay?"

I nodded, grateful for their support. My thoughts were still on Jasper. He definitely saw my text not too long ago. When would he get here? I needed him by my side, now more than ever.

Two of the queens with Travis were still trying to push the guy away from me in an intimidating manner, but he just stuck his chest out at them. "Come on, I'm more of a man than these shrimps. I might just have to fight them for you." The guy grabbed my arm, making me jerk away and fall down. Just as he was about to grab my other arm to restrain me, he was forced back.

"HEY! GET THE HELL OFF HIM, YOU BASTARD!"

Jasper had finally arrived.

He had stormed over, his face a mask of fury, and shoved the guy back hard enough to make him stumble. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Jasper growled, stepping between me and the guy.

The guy straightened up, glaring at Jasper. "Who the hell are you?"

"I'm his husband," Jasper snarled. "And if you touch him again, you'll regret it."

The guy hesitated, clearly reevaluating his chances now that Jasper was involved. "Look, I didn't mean anything by it," he said, raising his hands defensively.

Jasper suddenly grabbed the guy by the throat and yanked him off his feet before he slammed him to the ground. He punched him twice and breathed heavily with feelings beyond fury. "Stay away from my husband, or you will regret the day you were born."

Jasper then shook out his fist and stood up.

"Jasper—" I began, but he cut me off by scooping me up from my feet and carrying me away. "Jasper, what are you doing?!"

"What the fuck are you doing?" Jasper threw back angrily. "I knew I should've showed up at the hotel and dragged you back here!"

"But Jasper—"

"It's been fucking 24 hours, and I come back to see a rager and some random guy trying to pin you down? Am I a fucking joke to you?" Jasper seethed, his eyes blazing with anger and hurt.

"I wasn't being pinned down!"

"Because I got here! Is that why you threw this party?! To fuck with me?!"

"No! I threw the party because Elizabeth said it would be easier to talk this way!" I said, my voice pleading as I clung to him.

Jasper stopped in his tracks, his grip on me tightening. "You did this to talk? You think this is the best way to fix things between us?"

"Elizabeth thought it would create a neutral, social setting where we could relax and talk," I explained hurriedly. "I didn't think it would get out of hand like this."

"Well, I'm ready to talk now!" Jasper fumed as he unlocked our bedroom door and held me firmly against the wall. "Do you need a reminder that you belong to me?!"

Oh my god, this was kind of hot, seeing him all angry like this. "I don't!"

"Bullshit! Are you drunk?!" Jasper snapped.

"Barely!"

"Why are you always so damn arrogant?!"

"Better than being a spoiled crybaby!" I shot back at him.

"I'm getting sick of you!" His eyes blazed with intensity.

"Oh please! You're crazy about me! That's why you were trying to be my boyfriend all this time! And now that I'm your husband, all of a sudden you're sick of me?"

"Damn right I'm sick of you! In fact, I think my biggest mistake was falling for you!"

Ouch.

I pushed off of him and walked to our bookshelf on the other side of the room. "Where the hell do you think you're going!" he blared. I started rummaging through our things. "What are you doing!"

"Well, if I'm your biggest mistake, then this..." I threw a precious picture of me and Jasper against the wall. It shattered instantly.

"Hey! HEY!" He tried to catch it.

"...is your biggest mistake! This..." I threw out another picture.

"THAT'S IT!" He yelled. He grabbed me roughly by my waist and hoisted me over his shoulder.

"PUT ME DOWN, YOU PIECE OF GARBAGE!" I yelled and started hitting him.

Jasper ignored my protests, storming through the room with me kicking and struggling against his grip before he tossed me onto the bed. I bounced slightly, glaring up at him as he loomed over me.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I demanded, breathing heavily.

"What's wrong with me?!" he echoed, his voice a mix of anger and hurt. "What's wrong with you? You think you can just throw away everything we've built together because you're pissed off?"

I sat up, my fists clenched in the sheets. "I'm not throwing anything away! You're the one who said I was your biggest mistake!"

"I didn't mean it!" he shouted, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I was angry, and I said something stupid. But that doesn't mean you get to destroy our memories!"

He quickly got on top of me, pinning me down by my wrists. He stared down at me angrily.

"Well, what?!" I yelled at him, curious to see just how far he'd go.

"I'll tell you what," Jasper answered angrily. He quickly and roughly ripped my shirt open and off of me.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU—"

"Just SHUT UP!" he snapped aggressively. Since when could Jasper get so intimidating?

"Yes, Sir," I said. He looked expectantly at me...obviously, the two-word answers were not enough for this man. He needed me to continue, but with everything else running through my mind and my sudden submission to his dominant behavior, for the first time in my life, I was at a loss for words.

Since when did I bow to another's will? No, that's not right...not just anyone's will, but Jasper's. I was supposed to be the one that stayed in charge! How did our dynamic suddenly flip like this and give Jasper control over me?

Did I like being dominated like this?

His grip on my wrists tightened, and he leaned in close, his breath hot against my skin. "You think you can just walk all over me, Alex? You think you can throw our life together away because you're mad? Even though I warned you that I wouldn't let it happen?"

"I—" I stammered, feeling a mix of fear and excitement.

"Answer me!" he demanded, his eyes blazing with intensity.

"No, I don't think that," I admitted, my voice trembling in anticipation. I was incredibly turned on. "I was just... I was angry and scared. I didn't mean any of it."

"You better not," he growled. "Because you're mine, Alex.."

His words sent a shiver down my spine. "I'm yours," I whispered, the admission feeling both terrifying and exhilarating.

"That's right," he said, his voice softening slightly as he leaned down to kiss me hard. "And don't you ever forget it."

I melted into the kiss, my body responding to his touch. For once, I was okay with not being in control. Maybe this was what I needed—to let go and trust Jasper to lead, even if just for a moment.

"Good," he murmured against my lips. "Now, are you going to behave, or do I need to remind you again?"

"I'll behave," I promised, feeling a strange sense of relief wash over me.

"That's what I thought," he said, tightening his hold on me to the point I'd definitely be marked. "It's just us."

"Just us," I echoed, reaching up to touch his face. "I love you, Jasper."

"I love you too, Alex," he replied, his expression still angry. "That's why I'll make it so your body can't live without me either."

Jasper sunk his teeth right into my neck.
