Jonathan bore the full brunt of Blake's wrath due to his bold defiance. Savage beatings inflicted during interrogations tested his threshold of pain. Yet reflections on Christ's sufferings anchored his resolve not to break under torment. Despite torture, he revealed minimal intelligence to protect cells from further harm.

Volunteer search parties scoured the ruins for missing faces, giving loved ones closure. Independent orators uploaded sermons on encrypted sites, guiding lost souls to hope even when all seemed lost.

As for Jonathan, his spirit never broke under torment. Thoughts of loved ones buoyed endurance, just as recollections of biblical prophets sustaining faith in darkness strengthened resolve. A mysterious inmate also contacted him one night, imparting a message portending deliverance:
