Chapter 4 - Close

The men in black suits closed in on Marcus and the woman, their fists raised and their faces twisted in anger. Marcus tried to focus on the silver box in his pocket, hoping that it would somehow give him the strength to fight off his attackers.

The woman, on the other hand, seemed unfazed. She moved with a fluidity and grace that Marcus had never seen before, dodging punches and striking back with precision.

The two of them fought together, their backs still pressed against each other. They moved in unison, each covering the other's blind spots and taking down the men one by one.

As the fight wore on, Marcus felt a strange sense of camaraderie with the woman. They had never met before, but in that moment, they were a team, working together to take down their common enemy.

Finally, the last of the men fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Marcus and the woman stood panting, their faces covered in sweat.

"Who are you?" Marcus asked, still catching his breath.

The woman smiled wryly. "Just a friend. You looked like you could use some help."

Marcus nodded, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over him. He had been so close to giving up, but this woman had saved his life.

"What's in the box?" the woman asked, nodding to the silver box in Marcus's hand.

Marcus hesitated for a moment before answering. He didn't know who this woman was, and he wasn't sure he could trust her.

But then again, she had just saved his life.

"Something powerful," Marcus said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Something that can change the world."

The woman raised an eyebrow. "And you're the one who has it?"

Marcus nodded, feeling a sense of both pride and dread. He didn't know what he was going to do with the box, but he knew he couldn't let it fall into the wrong hands.

"Well, then we should get going," the woman said, grabbing Marcus by the arm. "We don't have much time."

Marcus hesitated, but then he nodded. He didn't know where they were going, but he knew he had to trust this woman. She had saved his life, after all.

Together, they started running down the street, the silver box clutched tightly in Marcus's hand. They didn't know what lay ahead, but they knew they had to keep moving forward.
