He looked with satisfaction at Xi Mu.

Until Xi Mu conjured up a greatsword out of thin air, his palm caressed the blade, igniting the black flames symbolic of death.

"Hey… human!" Hald exclaimed in shock and anger, but Xi Mu did not say much and swung directly at him without a hint of hesitation.

There was no prior intent to kill nor any sign, and the assassination attempt was executed in one fluid motion, more professional than a hitman.

Bang bang bang bang!

Several successive sounds, like the snapping of guitar strings, the Hunting King's Greatsword stopped right in front of the dwarf Hald's face.

It almost split him into two.

The atmosphere grew tense.

"Hmph… human, you don't think that just by approaching me you could kill me, do you?" Hald sneered, his hand trembling slightly.

A cold gleam flashed through the air, an invisible slash grazed past Xi Mu, and the ground was instantly scarred.
