Chaos part 2

Thanos stood at the edge of the chaos, his heart pounding in his chest. The giant humanoid mech loomed over the city block, its massive metal frame gleaming in the sunlight. Its movements were methodical, each step causing the ground to tremble. Buildings were damaged, cars overturned, and debris scattered everywhere. People were fleeing in panic, their screams echoing through the streets.

Thanos took a deep breath, centering his Qi. He had trained for this. And after his experience at the excursion he was ready.

He activated his gauntlets and boots, feeling the familiar hum of power coursing through them. The small laser handgun was ready at his disposal but he knew it would do nothing to the mech in front of him. This one looked much sturdier than the one he fought, and it is bigger too. He sprinted towards the station, dodging debris and helping people along the way. His mind was focused on one thing: finding his father and keeping him safe.

As he approached the station, he saw a group of police officers trying to hold back the mech with their standard-issue firearms. It was a futile effort; the lasers bounced harmlessly off the mech's armor. Thanos spotted his father among the officers, directing the evacuation.

"Dad!" Thanos shouted, catching his father's attention.

"Thanos, what are you doing here?" his father yelled back, his eyes wide with surprise and concern.

"I came to see you and Mom," Thanos said as he reached his father.

"We can't take that thing down. Get these people to safety." Another police officer said. His father nodded,

"Get out of here son." His father said worried. Thanos was about to respond when he noticed the mech heading towards their direction.

"Get out of here dad " he said as he took out his phone and made a call to base.

On the other end "The captain is currently busy and can't take your call at the moment"

" This is the captain of Squad 5 rookie team Thanos Asemota. Reporting, code NC 01 ongoing at new age city. Requesting immediate military response."

"Back up will arrive in 15 minutes hold your own till then." The voice at the other end said.

"Y-You called the military?" His dad asked.

"Called the military, officer Asemota what the hell are you talking about?" A police man asked.

" Help will be here in 15 minutes you guys just get the civilians to safety and .."

"Who's this kid?" A man asked as he walked forward. " We got work to do kid get out of here."

Thanos frowned. He put his hand in his jacket, took out his I.D and the man was dumbstruck.

"I-i am extremely sorry sir, h-how may we help you." The man stuttered.

"Just focus on getting everyone to safety, the mech isn't really focused on hurting anyone mainly, but it is causing massive property damage, my guess is who ever is Manning it is begging for attention. Get the people to safety and let me handle the mech. Back up will be here in 15 minutes so don't panic. Is that clear?" Thanos asked authoritatively,

"SIR YES SIR " the man answered and immediately led his team away following Thanos' orders.

The military are extremely respected all around this new world. And any disrespect to a soldier isn't tolerated. But what made the police officer shut up wasn't the fact that Thanos was in the army, it was the fact that on his I.D it showed the title J.C.I (junior captain in training) and he had a star on his I.D , this means that he has done something exceptional that puts him above soldiers of the same rank as him. AKA taking down an alien mech.

"My son has grown into a respectable young man huhh " officer Asemota said with a huge smile on his face as he tapped Thanos on the shoulder before he left.

Thanos turned his attention back to the mech. He knew he couldn't take it down alone, but he could buy time for the civilians to escape and for reinforcements to arrive. Soon the area was clear off people and the only people left were the news anchors in helicopters and the few police officers around.

After making sure there were no civilians in the vicinityHe charged at the mech, his gauntlets crackling with Qi. He leaped onto a nearby building, using it as a launching pad to propel himself towards the mech's head. With a powerful punch, Thanos struck the mech's head, aiming for its sensory systems. The impact caused a shower of sparks, and the mech staggered back. Thanos landed nimbly on the ground, ready for its counterattack. The mech swung one of its massive arms at him, but he dodged it with ease, using his Qi-enhanced speed.

Thanos stepped back and raised an arm aiming at the mech, while his other hand held his arm. His gauntlets glowed extremely bright as a ball of energy formed in his hand, he aimed and BOOOM..

The Qi ball left his hand and his the mech in the chest causing it to stagger.

The mech turnec to face him as though recognizing him as a primary enemy. It raised its arm, and immediately an energy ball three times the size of Thanos flew at him at great speeds.

"Oh shit " he said as he held both hands out and formed a Qi energy shield just intime to block the mech's energy ball.

Thanos was getting pushed back very fast and the asphalt was destroyed under him as he dug his feet into the ground trying to deflect the ball. But his Qi shield grew weaker and his Qi reserves were depleting, he managed to rise up a bit and pushed the ball up towards the sky, it managed to get several feet in the air before exploding. The wave caused by the explosion was so great it knocked Thanos away onto the wall of a nearby building.
