Chapter24:my girlfriend too

When I woke up I was alone in the bed. I looked at Alex's side and it felt warm meaning it had not been long since he had woken up. I heard splashes of water in the bathroom and immediately I knew that's Alex. I got out of bed and then tidied it. When I heard the bathroom door open I got out of the room and entered the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. After I was done I went to the closet and found Alex there shirtless.

"Good morning baby."he said smiling.

"Morning too honey."I said blushing and Alex chuckled.

"Can you help me choose what shirt I should wear."I looked at him unbelievably. I have no sense of male fashion at all. But I looked at his helpless look and sighed and I wondered if I wasn't here what he would have done. He obviously just want to disturb me.

"I'm probably not sure about this so... don't blame me. "I said going through his clothes and I took a a white shirt to match with his black pants.

"How about this." I said as I handed him the shirt and he chuckled."what's so funny?"I raised a brow at him.

"Nothing, you just look so cute when you are serious."he said taking the shirt then I watched him get dressed. He buttoned his shirt up to the last button but I headed over and unbottoned the last two buttons of the shirt then I smiled contentedly.

"What are you doing?"he asked looking at me like I have gone crazy."I need to wear a tie baby."he added.

"Noo you won't. I like it this way. It makes you look more handsome and sexy with that body of yours."I said and I winked at him playfully then I took his suit from the hanger and gave it to him.

"Are you teasing me baby?"he asked me smiling.

"Just because I'm playful doesn't mean I'm not serious. I'm very serious about you going like this to the office."I  said still smiling.

"But this look don't fit me. I'm not going on a fashion show I'm going to work. People are not going to take me seriously with this look. I need to look intimidating for people to look at me seriously."he said with a frustrated look on his face.

"Try going like this today and come tell me about it later. And you should loosen up you don't have to be all serious. Do you have to scare your employees?"I asked and I combed his hair backwards with my fingers.

"Okay then I'll only go like this way today okay. I don't want to be wearing like this to work. Now get dressed or you'll be late for work."he said and I looked at him folding my hands below my breast. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"he asked and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Do you pretend to be dumb or what?"I asked annoyed because he does not learn.

"Why?"he asked back.

"I thought you learnt a lesson last time I asked this, but can you please go and ask yourself why you should go outside right now."I told him

"Oh!"he said as if he realised what I was really talking about.

"Yeah, now that you know can you get out?" I told him pointing at the door and Alex got out. I sighed then I did my daily preparation for work. After I was done I got out to meet Alex busy on his laptop on the bed just like last night.

"If there's something that you need to do I have a study in this apartment. You can work from there."I told him so that he doesn't strain so much. He did not answer but I didn't repeat what I said. I took the dirty clothes from the floor and from the bathroom and put them on the laundry basket. I took a note to do some laundry today after work.

After I was done I took my bag and my phone and looked at the time. I still had some thirty minutes. I looked at Alex who was busy with his laptop and I sighed.

"Alex let's go for breakfast downstairs." I told him but he did not look up. When I noticed he did not look up I went and tapped him lightly then he looked up. "Let's go for breakfast honey."I said so that he could stop. Jesus will I be having a workaholic for a boyfriend? I asked myself as I sighed inwardly. He got up and put his laptop in his bag and took his iPhone and we headed downstairs without saying a word to each other.

We found my mom cooking breakfast. I knew she would so I was not worried. We greeted her and she smiled happily.She brought the meals on the dinning table and we ate. When we were in the middle of breakfast we heard a door bell. My mom rushed to the door and I got abit worried as I wondered who would visit that early. My mom came smiling and I got suspicious because only one person came in my mind.

"Good morning babe."Shawn excitedly ran to hug me and I felt a pair of eyes boring holes at us if not at Shawn. The atmosphere turned cold all of a sudden.

"Why is it so cold all of a sudden babe?" Shawn asked as he pulled out of the hug.

"Is it?"I asked obviously playing dumb. I felt Alex's gaze on us and I decided to introduce this bestie of mine before we freeze to death.

"Shawn take a seat first. I need to introduce you to someone." I told Shawn who sat beside my mom. My mom was smiling all that time and then Shawn's eyes met with Alex's and my heart accelerated it's beating. He was looking at Shawn like he would kill him.

"Alex this is Shawn my best friend and Shawn this is Alex my.."I was interrupted.

"Boyfriend. I'm her boyfriend."Alex said coldly emphasizing the word boyfriend. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry seeing Alex like this. He's still not back to normal but the temperature had turned down slightly.

"Alex right? You see Kimberly here is my girlfriend too. So how are we gonna solve this issue."Shawn said just to be a dick that he is and I glared at him and I saw my mom glare at him too.

"What Shawn mean is that we are friends. Right Shawn?", I asked raising a brow at him smiling but he did not cooperate he just shrugged. I know he's mad at me and I blame my mom for all this. She's the who called him and Shawn being an asshole he is he came stir up trouble with me for not saying anything about me having a boyfriend.

"I'm getting late for work. I'll see you guys later."I said as I stood up and went to kiss my mom and Shawn at the cheek. I went to perk Alex lips but he too stood up. I was so confused and I looked at him questioningly.

"I'm going to work too."he said then looked at Shawn one last time."we will meet again Shawn. My baby and I will be late for work. Mom I'll see you later." He held my hand and we went to the door.
