Chapter 1: A New Fantasy World

I opened my eyes and cleared my vision...huh? Where am I? I looked around my surroundings, it is, uuhhhh.....very unfamiliar surrounding. I am in a clearing In a hilltop clearing grassy field, I also can see a beautiful sight of a big mountain,WOOOOWW.

I stood up and looked behind me, there's a big tree, I'm pretty sure I'm leaning on this tree while I'm asleep and, there's a full-armor with a sword like beside the place where I woke up. Huh? I saw a guy from the side of the tree also sleeping.

I took a closer look, is that Jayden, my friend? He opened his eyes, suddenly, he's startled and looked around at his surroundings.

"Hmmm? Where am I?" He muttered

He looked at me

"Is that you Mathew?" He said to me

Yes, it is an evidence that he's Jayden because he knows my name, I nodded at him.

"Where the hell are we?" He asked me

"I don't know, I also just woke up here" I replied

He started panicking, I noticed something beside him, black clothes? With a dagger and bow.

"Hey, what is that beside you" I said to him

He looked at the clothes

"Huh, I don't know" he replied

He continued panicking and looked around

"Hey, is that a castle?" He said to me

I looked where he was pointing at, holy sh*t. It is a big beautiful big medieval castle village in a clearing with big walls surrounded.

"Hey, I'm not sure if we are back in time" I said to Jayden

It feels like very old, there's no city that can be seen around.

"Since we have nowhere to go, why don't we go to that village" he said to me, he's right tho.

"Okay then" I agreed

"Oh yeah, I'm not sure what are these costumes are but I think we need them" I added

I put on the armor and put my sword in my shoulder belt, damn, this is heavy but why are there armors/clothes and weapons beside us in the first place, Jayden put on his black clothes and sheathe his dagger and place the bow behind him and put on his mask. We started walking downhill. We just walked and talked and trying to remember how did we even got here.

We finally arrived at the place, there are fully armored knights like me on the entrance holding their...pollaxes is what they are called maybe? We went near to the entrance, I removed my helmet and Jayden put down his mask, the guards raised their pollaxes making an X shape on the entrance to block and to prevent us from entering.

"Who are the both of you and where did you come from" one of the guards asked

I cleared my throat

"Ahem, I know this is very very hard to explain and confusing, we really don't know where we are but we just came from there on the tree *I pointed at the tree* oh right, my name is Mathew and this is Jayden" I said to the guard

"I'm not sure what kind of names are those but both you can enter, and do not cause any trouble" the guard said to us

Our names huh? Well I mean, we are like literally in the past and we have some kind of modern names. The guards holstered their weapon to let us in, what a relief but I don't know why they let us in with the information I just gave.

We entered, there were a lot of people everywhere buying, talking to people and selling items. There are blacksmiths, bread shops, marketplaces, inns, guilds and any other more, just look around.

"Where do we go?" Jayden asked me

If we both want a place to live, we need an inn, but we need money for an inn and of course foods. I heard that you can make money in guilds by finishing task or quests they give.

"Why don't we go in the guild and do some quest they give, we can kill some things, scavenge some things and a lot more" I said to

He lit up when I said to him about killings, he said okay. We went to the guild and entered, there are a lot of people here, there are knights like me, there are similar robes people are using just like Jayden, there are seems like barbarians, sorcorers, paladins and others more.

They are like mixed soldiers from different country on the previous world I know. We went to the counter and asked the lady who may seem the quest giver.

"Um, miss, are there any tasks you can give us? We are new here" I asked the lady

"Oh, you both new here, wait just wait here, let me see some task we can give for the both of you" she replied

We waited for her to look at the scrolls and papers.

"AHA! here are the quests for the begginers" she said and showed us three scrolls

*Quests*

Merchant Protection: Convoy or protect a merchant to its destinated location.

Reward:200 gold coins

Parcel Delivery: Deliver a parcel to it's destinated owner.

Reward:140 gold coins

Exterminate Goblins: Exterminate the 4 stealing goblins in the forest on the west.

Reward:340 gold coins

*Quests*

"Ohoooo, we will take the Exterminate Goblins ma'am" Jayden said as we saw the third scroll quest

I think I could agree, I'm not sure the currency here and how big is a 340 gold coins for a living, I agreed with Jayden, The lady gave us the scroll.

"Keep that to remember your quest and to claim that it is really yours, you know, some people came back and asked us what their quest was again" the lady said

We both said goodbye and went out of the guild, so this is the beggining of our journey huh? I checked my armor and my weapons, Jayden checked everything in his robes and weapons, my heart is beating fast.
