Ch. 44: Finally, True Completion

Time passed, and night replaced day. The three moons and twinkling stars were visible after the sky got dark.

Chen Fan continued his cultivation. The next step was to nurture the Infant Spirit and the Dao Seed.

A lot of refined Qi is required for this step. The poor state of Qi on Earth won't be able to meet such insane demand. Hence, it's almost impossible to reach the stage above Golden Core/Core Formation there unless the Qi of Earth is rejuvenated somehow.

Luckily, Chen Fan was inside the Cosmic Brick. He didn't lack Qi in this place. He virtually had a limitless amount of it.

Chen Fan absorbed the Qi from the air. The whirlpool around the Infant Spirit spun counterclockwise.

As an aside, there are two ways to rotate the energy in the Core, clockwise and counterclockwise. Rotating clockwise increases the efficiency and speed of ejecting the energy while rotating counterclockwise increases the absorbing efficiency and recovery speed of the energy. The advantage is a dimension apart compared to when the energy in the Core is still.

The Qi rushed to Chen Fan like horny young masters to an otherworldly fairy…

Inside the log house, Tang Hongyu paused sewing as she sensed the strange phenomenon. She unconsciously turned to the window and saw the misty dome that covered her lover.

"I suppose I can take this as a sign that darling is alright and progressing nicely," she muttered with a relieved smile. The unease that had been plaguing her heart finally disappeared.

She returned to her work, but she soon put down the fabric and rushed to her room. After sensing the amazing amount of Qi around the house, she suddenly had the urge to cultivate…

Back to Chen Fan, his Core was absorbing the Qi like a bottomless pit. The absorbed Qi immediately got refined and forwarded to the Infant Spirit in the center of the terrifying typhoon. Then, the refined Qi nourished the Infant Spirit and the Dao Seed in the center of the Infant Spirit's chest.

The slightly translucent form of the Infant Spirit began glowing. The area where the Dao Seed was located glowed brighter. Then, both ends of the seed cracked before a young shoot with one leaf and roots emerged from each crack.

As the Dao Seed absorbed the refined Qi greedily, the roots grew and propagated throughout the Spirit Infant's body. These roots look like channels in the meridian.

33 hours later, the Dao Seed stopped absorbing the Qi. The roots had grown up into robust channels. They were pitch black as if they were absorbing the light around them. On the other hand, the Infant Spirit was clad in nine colored aura—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, cyan, purple, black, and white.

The Infant Spirit suddenly opened his eyes, showing pupils with ever-shifting nine colors. Those eyes were pure, innocent, and untainted by sins and virtues. The spinning energy around him suddenly stilled and turned into nine colors.

Then, the Infant Spirit got up and looked up. A moment later, he curled his tiny, pudgy hand and did a beautiful sky uppercut.

When his tiny, pudgy fist reached the peak of his reach, the energy around him rushed up and pierced through the core that caged him. The energy continued upwards and became a nine-colored pillar that came out of Chen Fan's head and pierced the sky.

When the nine-colored pillar exited the atmosphere of the planet Chen Fan resided in, it spread out and reached all corners in the universe within the Cosmic Brick. When the nine-colored light touched some beasts and plants that'd reached the peak of the True Completion of the Dao Body stage, it made those creatures achieve enlightenment to break through to the next stage of their cultivation.

Those creatures native to the universe within the Cosmic Brick weren't the only ones that obtained this fortune. When that light touched Tang Hongyu who was cultivating diligently inside her room, it upgraded her Spirit Root and Innate Talent to something that would shake the powerful Celestial Sects that lorded over the universe of Rebirth of the Urban Immortal Cultivator.

When this blessing was over, Tang Hongyu had evolved into someone whose talent for cultivating the Dao of Immortality was far better than Feng Qiong who was said to be an extreme talent and born to cultivate.

After the nine-colored light finally touched all corners of the universe within the Cosmic Brick, it disappeared. Then, the Infant Spirit sat cross-legged and started meditating. As Chen Fan and his Infant Spirit meditated, the rush of Qi didn't diminish and kept supplying them steadily.

Time passed. Days became a week, and weeks became a month. Three months passed by.

During these three months, Chen Fan and his Infant Spirit were immersed in meditation. The Infant Spirit also had grown up.

At the end of the first month, the Infant Spirit reached the age of five…

At the end of the second month, the Infant Spirit reached the age of twelve…

At the end of the third month, the Infant Spirit reached the same age as Chen Fan…

The Infant Spirit couldn't be called 'infant' anymore. It has grown up into the True Dao Spirit!

The Dao Spirit had a similar look to Chen Fan's real appearance. The only difference between the Dao Spirit and Chen Fan was the color of their pupils.

Chen Fan's pupils were pitch black like the abyss that would suck your soul if you stared at them too much. On the other hand, the Dao Spirit's pupils were nine different colors that kept shifting like a kaleidoscope.

Putting that aside, the growth of the Dao Spirit signified the Half Completion of the Dao Spirit stage. As the Dao Spirit had a similar look to Chen Fan's physical body, this stage was considered to be completed.

The next step is the True Completion of the Dao Spirit.

To enter the True Completion of the Dao Spirit, Dao Body and Dao Spirit must unite as one. This step would take a long time if you formed the False Dao Body.

Since Chen Fan had formed the True variation with a matching True Dao, this process was quick. It only took a week for Chen Fan to fuse his Dao Spirit and Dao Body.

As Chen Fan's secluded cultivation session entered the last day of the first week in the fourth month since he started, his seclusion could be considered to be over.

Chen Fan opened his eyes and inhaled the fresh air. Then, he stretched out his muscles before looking up to the starry night sky.

"I have finally reached the peak of True Completion! The next stage is the beginning of the Transcendent Stage! The Celestial Ascension!"

Chen Fan felt that his chest was stuffed with exhilaration and anticipation. However, he calmed down after realizing that his nameless masterpiece needs an upgrade.

"Oh well, I suppose I can take it easy. Right now, nothing can threaten me on Earth! Not even those sorry excuses of the fake Illuminati and their invading army can threaten me!"

After that, Chen Fan took down the barrier that blocked the sight and sound from getting out. Right after dismantling the barrier, he sensed Tang Hongyu's Divine Sense caressing him and his mental shield.

Chen Fan lifted the corners of his eyes. 'Three, two, one—'

"Daaaaarling!"

A crimson missile came out of the window of the log house and rushed to Chen Fan. This crimson missile was Tang Hongyu who wore a red robe.

Chen Fan spread out his arms and grinned widely. He caught Tang Hongyu when her body slammed on his, after which he spun around. After he stopped spinning, he felt Tang Hongyu hugged him tightly and rubbed her face on his chest.

"Darling, darling, daaarling~! I miss you! I miss you so, so much! These past months were very hard and tortuous without you!" Tang Hongyu declared loudly and rapidly.

Chen Fan rubbed Tang Hongyu's back. "I'm back, dear. Don't worry, I won't leave you again so soon. I've decided to take a break from cultivation for a long while."

"Really?" Tang Hongyu looked up with wide, hopeful eyes.

"Really." Chen Fan nodded.

"Really really?" Tang Hongyu tilted her head and widened her eyes even further.

"Really really." Chen Fan nodded with a wry smile.

Tang Hongyu released Chen Fan's body from her hug. "I love you so much, darling!" She declared and then cupped his cheeks, after which she tiptoed and pulled his head down to kiss his lips.

Chen Fan could sense the love, lust, and passion Tang Hongyu poured into her kiss. Her tongue was wrestling with his vigorously. It was obvious that she was so thirsty.

Well, it was understandable. After eight months with virtually every day having sex with Chen Fan, she had gotten used to having sex with him as a part of her habit.

Although Tang Hongyu didn't become a nympho, skipping sex too long would make her restless. She had become too addicted to his body.

"Let's move to our room," Chen Fan said after the kiss ended.

Tang Hongyu nodded eagerly. Her eyes were glimmering with lust and anticipation.
