Chapter 42: Behind the Scenes

At the end of the second day of the league, many fans debated who would be the final victor of the first league of the game Advent of Heroes. Many fans also expressed their opinion on the changes in the placement rankings.

People all over the world watched the spectacle happen whether they supported their country through viewing and cheering in their homes. They also expressed their disappointments by posting their opinion and suggestions to improve their ranking next year.

The league hasn't ended yet, people all throughout the world planned their next move next year. Somewhere expressing their doubts if their country could still participate next year.

On a particular university, a teenager was also expressing his opinions with his mates. He didn't even know how to play the game like everyone else who's with him, but it didn't stop him from cheering and praising their representatives.

"I really like how Allen and Anthony prioritized scoring than fighting. Still, I wish we have an excellent player like Xavier or Leonel." The teenager smiled sadly. Instead of studying for his incoming exams, he was still watching the video of the tournament.

The teenager was, in fact, Liam's brother. He hasn't received any updates about his family but if he did... he might have been happy and excited if he knew that his brother would participate soon.

"So, come on! You have to play with us! We'll buy the capsule. You can just repay us by carrying us. They said people with excellent physique and mind could play the game very well." The teenager's friend inputted. They finally convinced Efren, Liam's baby brother, to watch the game and he was hooked after catching a glimpse.

They couldn't let the opportunity be wasted by being shy! They have to convince Efren and let him carry them. They all were decent players but the more they saw how the game develop they couldn't keep up with it especially with their limited skills.

Efren was a genius of his age, he might not look like it but he was very meticulous when he was inside their class and rooms especially when it comes to studying. Unlike them, they tried to balance playing games while studying.

"Please! We won't tell your brother! Besides, he wouldn't find it out unless he bought you a capsule! Just maintain your grade and carry us sometimes whenever you have time."

"Right! Just study the game first! Explore and then tell us if you have any questions. After the league, the update will also finish. Just think about it like a side job!"

"Yes! We'll pay you with our body young sir!"

The three roommates he had tried every reason but they couldn't convince him now that they saw a glimmer of interest shining through their savior, they would be idiot if they let him go easily!

"I also remembered that you told us that your brother also started playing the game. Aren't you curious what he was doing inside it." Efren's finger suddenly twitched and his brows creased, thinking thoughtfully.

They saw another reaction. "Right? What will you do if your brother was also like us! It's so hard to play especially when you're alone. You need 5 players to do a normal dungeon!"

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Just think about it, brother!"

Efren sighed helplessly. Yes, they finally succeeded in convincing him. He was, in fact, curious about his brother especially when he saw some changes with his brother. He didn't loo withdrawn anymore like he was still playing basketball. "Alright, you got me. So, just let me finish studying."

"Aye, aye, captain!"

"Your wish is my command, my lord!"

"I knew you wouldn't let us down, brother!"

They didn't know that their friend would be a named ranker in the future.

The third day of the event was also like the other two days. It was brimming with enthusiasm and loud cheering. The tight security made the audiences happy and contented cheering with all of they got until their throats became sore.

Hearing the enthusiasm of the fans, the securities and staff were also reinvigorated that their hard work really paid off. Unlike some of the players with gloom on their faces, they worked so hard whether the sun rose or set but they still got some energies to spend watching the replays and commenting with their peers.

It was this mentality that made the higher-ups thankful that they got well-mannered staff and helpers. Due to the rising stocks of the company many threats were being delivered through mails and unknown deliveries.

While the director didn't mind it, others wouldn't let their still-growing company be impeded by the envy of others. Like any other old materials when new stocks came, the other games also started losing out players even if they issued new developments and advanced their immersive effects. Nothing could beat the Advent of Heroes if the scale would be the realness of the game.

Due to the support of other countries, the Advent of Heroes really made an overwhelming success that even those long time billionaire cry with envy.

Those who sponsored the company before it even succeed were laughing and sneering behind the scenes to their other competitors that didn't have any vision which would be successful.

Like any other company, Lualhati TV station, received a massive increase on revenue due to their contract with the Gabe Corporation. As the name implied, it was a TV station with smaller working area unlike other TV station in the Philippines.

The owner, Lualhati Dioleta, was also surprised with the successive letters that were coming to her via emails and open letters. Other TV station also envied the owner as it grew from small to medium sized company. It was still growing and with another upcoming update and expansion from the game, it would surely gain another rise in stocks.

They changed their overall overview of the company and it led to a massive increase of viewers. It was now only reporting about Advent of Heroes or shows about it. The networks of the shows were also connected to each other like it was bought by the Gabe Corporation. Many speculated about the truth behind it but nevertheless, the owner of the company really gain a massive increase with their stocks and revenue.

Another company that recently signed a contract with the Gabe Corporation was Josefa Electronics Company with the same standing as Lualhati TV Station which only compromised of two stores in the whole Philippines. It was a contract which let the Electronics Company sell their newly developed Lucky Capsule that lowered the price according to the background of the people buying it.

Each country, that currently has dealing with the Gabe Corporation, also have a trustworthy company with a clean background that signed a contract with different agents of the company. It was unknown how they managed to send some representatives even if they have ongoing events.

Like the others, Joselito Cabria didn't ask any question about the reason with the discounted capsules but promised to do his job seriously. He would interview each one of the people that wanted to buy through him.

Unlike the headgear that could be bought everywhere, the capsules couldn't be copied nor duplicated by the other company due to its high technology and cost for each equipment.

This move wasn't reported due to the confidentiality of the capsule which will be announced after the league. They also stressed that they couldn't let others know it even their family.

With the move of the company behind the ongoing events, even the staff inside the company didn't know it. Only those who were in the project knew what was going on and what will come out.

The third event finally started after the move of the company. Unlike before, each person inside the stadium has different flags they were carrying but with smiles on their faces even with the difference of the flags.

The reason why they scrambled the seats were unknown, but one thing was for sure, the end of the third event was really unexpected but also expected.
