Simulation-1

"One more thing, make sure you don't die. If you die in here you are dead out there" Captain McKinley smirked. Almost everyone dropped their jaws, some to a greater extent than the others. "Why didn't you warn us before"?! The Sanders brother shouted at her.

"What difference it would have made"? She asked skeptically.

"Well, we could have…" he was going to say not come here, but that was probably not optional since field training is absolutely mandatory for ETN candidates. "At least we…"he started again, struggling to find words that would justify his anger. He closed his mouth after these two failed attempts.

"I didn't want to scare you before coming here. Raised anxiety levels can interfere with the simulation reality interface created by the simulation device". She explained. "Which means…"? Kane asked, "Which means your consciousness will be disrupted making you behave like a zombie". She dumbed it down as much as she could. "You will be like that forever".

"Well, now my anxiety levels are increasing exponentially". Xander mumbled, who was standing behind Kaze, thus hiding his face from Captain McKinley. She smiled a little after hearing that comment but did not reply to it or anything. 

"First of I will suggest you go and get yourselves some kind of weapons. You might not make it alive out of here otherwise". She suggested. 

"That's just one floor below, let's go"! Sanders brother exclaimed and ran towards the elevator, while others followed him at a much faster pace. The elevator opened and a giant tiger like beast, resembling a sabre toothed tiger with its giant fangs jumped out of there. "Ahhh" all of them including Kaze shouted and made a run for it. All of them ran towards the stairs but the tiger was catching up to them, being faster than anyone else. 

Kaze tried to use his telekinetic abilities to find an object and throw it at the tiger, forgetting that it posed a risk of getting exposed. Fortunately, or unfortunately, for him the tactic didn't work as nothing moved. It was just behind them and opened its giant mouth to take a bit when it collided with the wall right above the door.

Luckily, all of them had already passed through the door which led them to the stairs and thanks to its narrow opening the beast failed to reach and attack them, so instead it just kept roaring at them while ramming straight into the wall. "Why is this here? I thought we will only meet aliens"! Xander huffed in anger. "Why is there an evolutionary extinct animal here"!?

"At this rate we won't be able to get weapons". The Sanders brother exclaimed. "Let's try to see what comes up next". Kane sighed and led the way to the floor below. All of them took each of their steps very carefully, not to attract unwanted attention. The door to the fourth floor was closed. Kane, slowly pressed her ears to the door and listened intently to see if anything was present there or not. Seeing her, Xander and the Sanders brother followed the same, sticking their ears to the door. Meanwhile Kaze and the Sanders sister turned back, keeping a lookout for anything that might attack them.

Slowly she opened the door, but didn't open it all the way. Making a narrow slit on the edges she peeped through it and scanned the entire area. "Let's go" she whispered and opened the door properly. 

Getting inside they watched out for anything that might attack them. Even a slightest movement, including but not limited to their own footsteps startled the crap out of them. When they arrived at the door of the room weaponry they sighed with relief. Not losing their alert stance altogether, they opened the door to the room carefully only to find an almost four feet tall iguana walking across the room. "Oh my god, it's a Dracyrus" Xander panicked. 

"What"? The Sanders sister asked him. "It's a creature from Lysserix itself. They are one of the wildest beast present there, resembling mostly a dragon". Xander mumbled.

"It looks like a lizard" The Sanders brother mumbled. 

"Shh"! Kane sushed them with a glare. All of them stared at her confused why was furious. "If you infuriate this thing, you will become a roast". She sighed. "We have to approach carefully.  If only we can distract it enough to walk across the room and get that box". She sighed looking at a case on the shelf on the other side of the room, which was filled with various kinds of handy weapons.

"What do they like"? Kaze popped the question. Everyone glanced at him before Xander answered," I guess they like human flesh. It's more fleshy than a Lysserion". Xander shrugged. "Anything else"? Kaze asked again.

"Um… I think they find fire fascinating" he mumbled trying to recollect the facts he read about a Dracyrus in a magazine issue focusing on aliens. After ZIA, whom Kaze cannot use anymore since she wouldn't actually accompany him to the simulation, his friend Xander was the one who knew most about Alien life, them being his lifetime fascination. 

"Great, we can use the weapons to create fire"! The Sanders brother exclaimed sarcastically. "Oh wait, we can't unless we reach there". He nudged towards the box. The giant iguana suddenly stopped in its tracks and turned around to see them. When everyone noticed that it was looking at them they panicked.

"Step aside" Kane mumbled to them. Not sure what she planned, they agreed and stood stuck to the wall right next to the door. She took off both of her shoes and threw it at the Dracyrus. Offended the Dracyrus shrieked at her which was accompanied by a blaze of fire emerging from its mouth. No wonder Xander said this beast is like a dragon. 

Meanwhile, Kane made a run for it and took the same stairs she came from. Soon enough they could hear the growls of giant beasts once more, "Should we go help her"? Xander popped the question reluctantly. "She made it very clear that she doesn't want us there". The Sanders brother mumbled. "Let's get the weapons first so we can help her" he declared. 

All of them scavenged the place for each and every weapon they could find, from guns and knives to electrical tasers, they grabbed everything. They were about to leave the room when they heard a sudden explosion above them that shook the entire building and all of them collapsed on the ground. "What just happened"? After dusting off herself, the Sanders woman asked.
