"Seems like your up in good shape"
Mila chuckled as she threw his spear back to him. She turned around and walked back to the house, "Let's head inside".
Joey was panting, he could only raise a gesture of agreement. Mila did just enough to make him tired.
He sat cross-legged and calmed his aura. When he was in complete control he got up and went inside.
After he went inside and ate, he was getting ready when Mila walked into his room. She threw some clothes on his bed and said nothing.
Joey looked at the suit on the bed and asked, "What's this?".
Mila smiled at him, "This is s combat suit. The protective plates are made from 9dc cold steel. It's more than enough for a tournament like this. It's unlikely you will meet anyone who can break it unless there is someone from the 1st family. They have weapons that could crack this like an eggshell"
Joey looked at the suit once more.
It was white with blue lining along the sides and elbows. He tried it and it never weighed him down much, but he wasn't too fond of it but he could tell that it was worth a lot of money.
It's fine you can wear it when you are in the brackets. It's not smart to show your all your secret weapon early.
Jacob shook his head in agreement.
He finished getting ready and put his spear on his back. After going downstairs Mila was waiting with Rayla, she looked a little drowsy rubbing her eyes constantly.
Mila gave him a nod which he returned.
They all walked out of the house, Mila turned back to do something then returned shortly after.
She grabbed Joey and Rayla by the waist, her lower was covered in a ghost-like aura. He shot up into the air toward the venue.
Mila's face looked tired, he was struggling to carry Joey. He offered her to rest but she was adamant about carrying them
Her face looked like she was flying for days. It got to the point where she eventually stopped when they were close enough.
"Are you sure it's fine Mila?" Joey started to become worried. She began to hold onto the building for support.
"Dammit kid, Can I not be tired without you lecturing me? I said I'm fine!"
She slapped away Joey's hand. After realizing she was being too aggressive she apologized.
"I'm sorry, I just have butterflies in my stomach and I'm afraid to admit it ok?"
Joey decided to believe her. They waited for Mila to calm her self and they walked the rest of the way toward the venue. Jacob walked a while before he noticed the Tournament was taking place at the Skyfall Academy.
"Have you been here before?" Mila saw his expression changed when he saw the place he was going.
Joey told her about Mila and explained what he came here to do.
"A Dragon? Sina must have been in the Sky Military. A normal person wouldn't be able to see a Dragon. Normal butchers only get small-time beasts. She must be impressive"
Joey secretly agreed.
"A butcher that a good skill to have. Why didn't you tell me that" Mila ruffled his hair playfully.
Soon they arrived at the Guard gate.
Mila walked over and spoke to the guard while showing him some papers. They eventually gained access to the premises.
"There is a bus that will carry you toward Skyfall midpoint," A badgeless soldier said as he and gestured toward the bus.
Joey walked on the bus to see it was full of children his age participating in the tournament.
'It feels like a crime scene in here'
He took the closest seat he could find. The bus moved off toward the venue. Jacob saw the HELL rocket launcher he did the last time and the nice scenic view, it was nostalgic."
'I just need to relax and calm myself' Jacob closed his eyes and calmed himself.
The bus reached Skyfall Midpoint. It was teeming with people rubbing against each other. They were all people that were participating in the tournament.
It was the Jacob realized that there was no age limit for joining the tournament. Even middle-aged people were trying their luck.
He would have asked Mila about this but she seemed a little spaced out.
The bus stopped at a round-a-bout and let them all off.
Immediately he was taken in by the different kinds of weapons some people were using, some were using chain-sickle.
"Don't get scared now, just remember that training and If that doesn't work. Kill first think later" Mila spoke nonchalantly about killing with a smile on her face
However, Jacob wasn't nervous, he slightly looking forward to it.
They waited for some time and most of the crowd ran off soon It was his turn.
He walked up to the table where he was greeted by a lady with a warm smile. She greeted them then held out her hand
"Please hand over the registration form"
Joey looked at Mila in shock. He never knew that he needed a registration form to enter the competition.
Mila swiftly handed the woman a paper in a way Jacob couldn't see.
The lady looked at Joey before dumbly staring at the paper. She took out a book and she checked it continuously.
She got up and bowed to Joey while handing over a perfectly cut piece of crystal and a booklet.
"Please place your finger on this crystal slate. It will prove that you are a participant and it will have your candidate number. This booklet will have a mapping of the base and the time of the events"
Joey did as she said he placed his finger on the crystal and it sucked some of his aura. She took the crystal and moved the surface around with her finger
When she returned, It depicted his face and awakening rank along with some personal information.
He also received his number which was #934.
