Entering

Joey took his crystal slate and pocketed it. The lady continued to bow as he walked away.

He moved closer to Mila and whispered. "What was her deal... what was on the paper?"

Mila shrugged, showing she was none the wiser. However, Joey never believed her.

Furthermore, It was not important.

"I'm going to the stands, Only competitors are allowed in the base" Mila stopped him right before they entered inside.

"Does it matter?"

"Yes, It's to protect the student, Not anyone can just waltz in there", Mila looked at his expression and gave her signature warm smile as she ruffled her smile.

"Don't worry Joey, If your this scared to be on your own how do you expect kick-ass?"

Joey kissed his teeth.

Mila looked at him disapprovingly pressed a wet kiss on his cheek. It was especially embarrassing with lots of people walking around. He tried to wipe off, but she grabbed both his cheeks and looked into his eyes.

"You're going to kick ass stop being worried" she had a slight smirk.

Joey felt a little more at ease. Mila never waited longer and walked away.

Joey focused up and stopped being dazed.

"Tch some brat that can't stop sucking on his mother's tits"

Jacob turned around to look who said it, but everyone was snickering. He couldn't tell who it was.

"Why don't you come to say it to my face"

Jacob scoffed.

He walked away when someone called out to him. "Hey, you!"

Jacob looked back to see a tall man walking toward him. He had a large build with bulky arms. He was a lot taller than Joey but his face looked young.

He wore a fur coat around his neck and his hair was pure silver-topped off with an arrogant look on his face,

The man walked up in Joey's face and looked down on him.

"I said, What will you do about it?"

It was a blatant provocation.

Joey wasn't asking any questions. He reached to his back to unload his spear when he heard some whispers from the side.

"Isn't that Claymus Zeus?"

"Aren't they from another Sky Military Base?"

Joey heard this and had to halt. He was specifically told not to start trouble with anyone from the first family.

They were a family that carry the power of thunder through their bloodline. However, his family normally occupy the West Sky Military. It's unknown why he flew out to this mid-point.

'I will be thought of as a fool if I don't stand up from afar. Still, I will forever make an enemy out of this family, If I piss him off a little he could have me killed even worse exempt Mila from the Military'

These were Joey's thoughts, he held onto his spear for a while and reluctantly he let it go.

He turned around and walked away.

"Hmph act tuff all you want, In the end, you all just weak!"

This statement was more of a statement than a threat, as well as rubbing salt in the wounds.

'I swear If I don't chop this guys arm off'

Jacob was seething with rage.

He suppressed his emotion by reminding himself why he was here. He went into the gym of the Mid-point and the atmosphere was tense.

The second Jacob made it in there eyes were on him. very few people were working out or sparring.

He walked through slightly wary when behind him Claymus came barging through the doors.

He walked through Joey pushing him aside. Everyone watched as they walked through the door, he never failed to make his displeasure known.

"This place smells like filth"

He looked around and grabbed a weak-looking contestant. "Tell me where Nerou Janroes is"

The poor man pointed outside the door this made Claymus angrier. "Well, no shit!"

He threw the man away as he bolted out of the room.

Joey watch the whole episode, he could not help but gives a mental facepalm.

"Idiot's that only knew how to abuse power"

People heard Joey's remark but said nothing. After looking through the gym for a while he realized that nothing was saying he had to stay there.

He figured this out and left. Not before he was called out.

"Joey!"

He looked back to see Eisha who he had not seen in a long time. She gave him a big hug which he quickly disengaged.

She looked at him with a big smile. "I haven't seen you since the Afterlife. "

"I never felt good that night and after that, I was training a lot"

Joey dodged any more questions and walked away.

EIdha quickly caught up to him, "Hey, where are you going? Aren't you happy to see me?"

'Yeah hardly, Hardly impressed!'

"I just want to walk around Midpoint before the tournament". As Joey said this her eyes widened.

"You trying out for the tournament?"

Joey shrugged, he never saw the need for such a reaction.

He was quickly bombarded by more questions.

"How strong are you?"

" What superpower do you have?"

The question kept coming, but Joey simply ignored her. He left the gym as she followed behind.

He took a few looks at the brochure and went toward the place where they stored the dragon.

He wondered if any other beasts were being kept there.

Soon he reached over there. He looked through the doors of the room and saw that they were moving. He walked in but he stayed quiet they were moving large pieces of beasts.

Eisha followed him all the way there and was careful not to make any noise.

'Damn what if Sina is here, how will I explain things to her'

Joey never intended to stay long, but he stayed to watch the soldiers work. He steered away from important areas and the worker's way.

After getting a satisfying look at everything he decided to not push his luck. He turned around with the intent to leave when he was suddenly stopped.

"This place is for authorized personnel only what are you doing here!"

This will be the final arc of the volume, Along with my other novel, I don't think the first volume was written perfectly.

However, I can say that the 9 Skies volumes will be a lot better... (It will be a whole new world....literally). In light of acknowledging my bad writing, I will not lock this novel now (9/9/21) and instead do it on later chapters that are worth your coins in light of better writing. Cheers!
