"This place is not bad at all. Having connections is definitely one of the best things that a man can have."

After arriving at his new home, Ezra found out the missing information that was not shared to him beforehand. It was actually a joint flat that housed up to five tenants, owned by the guild. Even then, there was enough space, and apart from living with people, it was pretty comfortable just like living in your own house.

Counting Ezra, there were four others living there, and Ezra was actually shocked at first when he found out that all the others female except for one. One would think the guild would keep things in dormitory fashion, but alas, they were not children and everyone there was an adult. Plus, apart from Ezra, every other person got to choose where they wanted to live. In the end he had no choice.

From what he learnt, this was just a temporary residence, and the hunters could move out whenever they wanted. This type of arrangements were done for hunters that just joined the guild and had no place to stay, also for the lower ranked hunters. Everybody there was D rank except Ezra.

Ezra who was bad with names quickly forgot the names of his new neighbours anyway.

The next day, he left for the guild. As a member of a guild, he would be able to form teams with other guild members to attack dungeons. Of course, there were certain specifications like hunter's rank and the number of people.

Ezra wasn't quite clear on how these things work, since he had only joined a guild yesterday, and he never discussed with Oscar concerning these sort of things. Luckily for him, he ran into a familiar face 30 minutes after he entered the guild building.

"Hey! Hi!" someone called out to Ezra.

With the number of people around he might not have known he was the one being called, but with his sense stat as it was now, he quickly picked up the fact that it was being directed at him.

Ezra turned, and just as he suspected, it was the C rank tank he fought the previous day. Ezra had thought this would happen, and really wanted to avoid it not to drag attention to himself, but it seemed it just had to happen within his first hour of arrival.

'I'll just dispose of him fast and not wait for many eyes.'

"Hey what's up?! I wanted to talk to you yesterday, but you got dragged by the guild leader so I gave that up." The C rank tank said.

'What's this? Does he not want revenge? This guy is pretty decent, huh?' Ezra thought to himself.

"Name's Badger."

-"Ezra."

"Do you have a sensitive nose? I noticed you were also wearing a mask yesterday even during the spar." Badger asked.

-"Well, something like that."

"I see. Man, you are so strong! We should definitely go another round, maybe a few! I want to see how well I'll fare if I'm fully serious."

"Oh yeah, I was asked to bring you for the raid later today."

-"That'll be great." Ezra responded solemnly.

He had been thinking of how he would approach any group and ask, but it turned out the guild leader had actually made some nice preparations for him.

'Maybe he wants to gauge my full strength, I should be careful, for now.'

Badger took him to his team, which he happened to be the leader of. In such guild, there were such teams formed of different strengths to deal with separate dungeons. This one was one of the middle laying ones. They were strong, but would not be considered amongst the strong in such a large guild. They had a total of ten members, with four C ranks and six D ranks. With Ezra joining in that day, they would be eleven in total, but one of the D ranks was dropped. Due to association rules, it had to be so. They were going to be raiding a C rank dungeon after all.

'These guys are really capable huh?' Ezra thought to himself.

After he was introduced, the team set out using the guild's transport.

The gate this time wasn't far away from the guild building, so they got there in less than twenty minutes.

Arriving there, it was the familiar scene, association workers and every other department was present. After making sure everything was alright, they all entered the dungeon with three porters. They planned to be fast and not waste time inside the gate.

This gate seemed to be a mid level C rank gate, and the prevalent monsters were ant type and some other insect type monsters. Though these insect type had good defence provided by their tough exoskeletons, Ezra was really impressed, how efficient their team was. With Badger as the tank and two other attack types, including Ezra making it three, the last C rank was a support type mage, then the D ranks were also spread like that, a healer, mage, and some damage dealers.

In less than three hours, they had gotten to the boss room. This was very fast, considering this was an insect type gate which would normally take days or even weeks, since it was hard to navigate and was always structured like a maze. Now that they had finished clearing the monsters and all that was left now was the boss, it was time to rest a little bit. After they came out of the gate, the other workers got to work, then the miners and transporting teams took over to get all they could.

This time, the boss monster was one that only attacked if one entered its territory, so there was no problem. Nonetheless, there were two hunters left behind to guard the place just in case.

This time, there didn't seem to be that many mana crystals, so the work was done fast, and the monster corpses were cleared. With the rest out, it was time to return and finish the job.
