Secrets Not Safe

I sat in my chair intrigued and very interested in what this auctioneer just said and while I firmly believed that the Heaven and Hell auction would not exaggerate or throw their face in the mud like this, I still found it a little skeptical that every item they sold would cause all the elites of the Federation to make enemies of one another. By enemies they obviously mean true 'enemies' as people with this type of status only work for benefits and common interest, there are only true enemies if something serious happens.

I thought of something and before I realized it a smile formed on my face as I thought of something that could make my life in and out of the academy so much easier. If this went the way I hoped then the amount of leverage I would hold would be immense and I could have a majority of the top class of the Federation under my thumb.

I turned towards Everen with a smile on my face but that was quickly wiped away as I saw a glint in his eyes and that look on his face that said it all. There was no denying it as I had seen it plenty of times before and already knew what was going through his mind.

He was horny and he found his next target.

"Lia Deva. They must really be serious since they brought her to be the auctioneer this time around." Everen said with a fascinated look on his face as he refused to take his eyes off Lia as if he wanted to burn her face and figure into her memory but there was something other than lust gleaming from his gaze, it was something...serious.

"Is there something about her I should know about? This might be the first time that I've seen you look at a woman with something other than lust. Of course, it is still there but there is also apprehension and a little bit of fear." I said as I looked at Everen who now turned and looked at me with an impressed smile on his face

"I swear you are too fucking perceptive It's not even a joke, but yes you are right. You might think she is just a beautiful woman and you might be right about that but never be mistaken, she is a cold-blooded demoness. She and Bashar literally butchered millions in the last war. I still remember the mountains of bodies they created, but even with all of that I hold her over most women in my eyes." He said as I took a look back at Lia as she was just like me, a walking example of never judging a book by its cover.

But I was interested in this past war that was talked about. From what I have learned it was between the Arasaka Empire, the empire that was mainly made up of humans but was very diverse with other races there as well. It is said that the Arasaka Empire was one of the strongest in Genesis and in their prime, they found some very reliable material called chaos stones.

This was one of the strongest materials in existence and was an impossibly rare and powerful cultivation resource. It was said that it would help gain high comprehension in any dao of your choosing regardless of your affinity and was used to make weapons and armor. But the place where they came from was the home ground of the Federation, but as greedy as humans are they decided to take it by force. Little did they expect that they would find mythical creatures they thought extinct like Dragons, Hydras, Qilians, and Serpents. The human empire got their asses handed to and they regressed in power to what they are now. They went from one of the top empires to a mid-tier empire that is now a shell of its former self.

"But besides that, have you fucked Calysto yet Hakari? I've seen how she looks at you and there is no way you are letting that walk past you."

I closed my eyes and smiled and said "I told her to go to the academy and register as Rizen's maid. Elder brother has been through a lot and probably can't fuck on anything since he's probably scared that it is a trap sent by the crown prince or whatever other enemies he has."

"You prick, how dare you waste such a body on that hall of fame choker. You know he is far too serious to enjoy carnal pleasures unless we drug the bitch. You should've given her to this daddy over here. I would've shown her what it means to 'ride the dragon'." He spat clearly pissed off that I didn't give Calysto to him. A shame he doesn't know that she hates him for whatever reason.

"But anyway what are you planning and don't lie you know I can detect lies far better than Treysin." He said

"What gave it away?" I asked as the only thing I could think of was me smiling but Everen wasn't even looking at me so I thought he never realized.

"The smile you made is the exact same smile that your father made whenever he had an amazing idea in his head. But as you know he leaves everything to Treysin, so whenever he had an idea me, Treysin and father had to damn near kidnap him for him to cough it up. So tell me what you're thinking of as we both know your ideas and ability to see an opportunity in any situation is better than your father." He said

"Lia just said that every item they auction off is guaranteed for all the people in this auction to make enemies out of one another and with that we can pretty much tell that the bidding will get very heated and competitive, with that emotions will run high and things meant to be kept behind closed doors will be revealed today. This will clearly result in SNS. You know what that means." I said as I looked at Everen who has a scared expression on his face.

"Secrets Not Safe." He whispered in fear but there was still joy in his tone.

"Exactly. Since the auction has done this much I think it'll be alright if we ask them to record all the things we won't be able to hear due to us being in separate rooms but we can easily remember everything that is said aloud during the bidding. After all the voices won't be disguised as everyone knows each other here, it's just who is in which private room." I said with a sinister smile on my face.

"I honestly pity your enemies. But I'll call in a favor from the manager as he still owes me a favor but for now focus on the auction and see if there is anything you want. You need to be back at the academy by the end of the day and don't worry about those preparations I'll take care of them." Everen said as he disappeared from the room.

"Alright for our first item is something that should let you all know that we are not joking when we say that you all will leave with enemies today," Lia said as a black hooded man came with a tray that had a cloth over it.

Lia then smiled at the crowd and pulled the cloth off to reveal a red crystal that was emitting a red flame that was so hot that even I was feeling its heat, let alone the auctioneers at the bottom who were sweating profusely and circulating arcana to stop them from turning to ash.

"This is a crystal of a high ranking phoenix. Though the exact rank is unknown it is high enough for one to gain immense insights into the dao of fire. It can bring someone from absolutely no insight to the fifth layer of dao comprehension." She presented with a smile on her face, shocking everyone myself included.
