Talentless Limits

The following weeks and months were like usual, training, attending school, improving his hands' dexterity, and sparring.

Now, these days he has also been helping Toga.

Every day, he would cut open his fingers and tempt Toga with his blood. It would go well, but her desires would slowly build up and she sometimes isn't able to hold herself back.

As the days passed, it happens less frequently and Toga is able to control herself more often.

Sometimes, to make sure that Toga's desires are under control, he lets her take some of his blood in order to calm her down. To keep her from feeling 'thirsty'.

***

Now, two years have passed since then and Sora is now 12 years old.

Day in and day out, Sora toiled himself away to train and grow stronger.

Sadly, it seems like his strength has reached a limit.

Like he had hit an insurmountable wall.

Talent.

This was what was now stopping him.

No amount of hardwork will allow him to tear down that wall and continue to grow stronger. This is what his own monstrous comprehension and perception told him.

That no matter how he trained, his body won't be able to surmount this gap because of his non-existent talent.

The thought of steroids had never occurred to Sora. He didn't want to introduce such vile things into his body.

As a Martial Artist, Sora viewed his body as a Holy Temple that must never be soiled or sullied in any way.

Aside from his body, Sora's skills were slowly reaching a limit as well.

The were still within the Practice Realm and nearly reaching the Beginner Realm, Sora felt how his skills and techniques were improving at a much slower pace than before.

'Talent… there's no way to increase it. Is there?'

Sora wondered to himself.

Today was a normal and simple Saturday.

A day off from school and now a resting day since Sora can't increase his strength anymore.

Now, he spared more time for his parents and meditation.

Sitting under the tree that has withstood countless of his strikes, Sora analyzed the countless martial arts he has learnt in his past life.

Looking for anything that could allow him to grow stronger or influence his talent.

Yet no matter how he looked or analyzed, Sora couldn't find anything.

Unless he was looking at it wrong and/or something was missing in the equation.

'But what is it?'

Sora put his hands behind his head, looking up at the blue sky, his body relaxed and his mind clear of any distracting thoughts. Delving into his memories and his martial arts, Sora was about to immerse himself in contemplation before suddenly hearing his mother calling out to him.

"Baby? Are you back here?"

Opening his eyes, Sora stood up and found his mother looking around before her eyes eventually fell on him.

"My little baby! How's my baby genius?" Akira asked as she brought Sora into a tight hug.

"Hey mom, what do you need help with?" Sora asked politely, smiling at his beautiful mother, her expressionless face now coated with tenderness.

Maintaining the hug, Akira moved to Sora's back, resting her breasts on Sora's shoulders.

"You see that folder there baby? I need you to submit it for me. I have some pending orders I need to be here to accept."

Akira explained to Sora how she had ordered some items and that she needed to be here in person for when the items arrived to accept them and sign.

"Sure mom, leave it to me," Sora said, not minding the little journey out of the house.

"Be careful out there."

Akira gave Sora a kiss on the cheek and handed him the folder.

"Mm."

Grabbing the folder, Sora walked out of the house and went straight to submit his mother's papers.

"Manga… there's various types of these books," Sora mumbled as he walked into the city.

'Do they still make novels?'

Thinking to himself, Sora entered the building where he will submit his mother's manga to her editor.

"Sora! Where's your mommy?"

The instant Sora walked into the building, an adorable lady appeared. She had cat ears and her mouth was pursed as she looked at Sora with a wonderful smile.

Her name is Kakami, his mother's editor.

A petite lady with light brown hair and cheery face. Always in a constant happy mood with her little smile and bright eyes.

"She's at home waiting for a package," Sora said, as he pulled out the folder with his mother's work in it.

"Oh!! Is that her work!! On time like always," Kakami chirped as she happily took the folder from Sora's hands.

She opened the folder and instantly got to read despite being at the entrance of the building.

"Mm! Mm! This is good stuff!" Kakami exclaimed as she put his mother's work away. "I'll focus on this stuff later, I need to go outside to take a smoke!"

Kakami jumped and dragged Sora out of the building before taking out a cigarette and a lighter.

Puff! Haa~

Lighting the cigarette and instantly taking in a deep inhale, Kakami exhaled the smoke with a relaxed smile.

"Sora, have you heard of the Chameleon thief?" Kakami suddenly asked as Sora was preparing to leave.

"Chameleon Thief?"

Stopping, Sora turned to look at Kakami, curious of this so-called Chameleon Thief.

"They have been reported to be robbing houses and raping the women. Be sure to keep an eye out, your mommy is a beautiful woman after all," Kakami explained seriously as she took another puff of her cigarette.

With a serious expression on his face, Sora nodded and listened to Kakami.

"Well! He's not doing anything on this side of Japan, but it's best to be safe," Kakami said, breaking the seriousness she had set up with a smile.

Shaking his head, Sora waved goodbye to Kakami before heading home, his mind wandering as he thought of his problem.

The only way he can secure his mother's safety was by getting stronger himself. He can't really on heroes and neither could he trust that a simple security will protect his family from other villains.

At this point, Sora discovered a truth.

Heroes and Villains are both dangerous.

Creating contingency plans against either side was something he needs. Studying the heroes, known villains, and Quirks, Sora will create plans and contingencies against these individuals.

But first, he needs to grow stronger to pull off his plans and study Quirks.

With his skills and techniques coming to a bottleneck, Sora knew that he couldn't depend on his skills and techniques for long. So he had to focus on something he knew he could fix, his strength.

He thought long and hard.

His mind wandered and that was when he recalled his mother's manga.

A manga set in a fantasy world with magic. He didn't get to read much of it since it had adult content and his mother didn't want him to read that.

Nonetheless, he knew that he should check on similar mangas for ideas.

It made him think.

Mangas…

Novels…

'Books,' thought Sora as he slowly came to a stop.

Turning his head to the side, Sora noticed that he had coincidentally stopped right next to a library.

'Books… library.'

The library was large and it seemed fairly popular among the young adults of the city.

Curious, Sora walked into the library and walked around, looking at all the books inside the library. His eyes scanned every book.

There were various types of books.

Drama, Romance, Action, Fantasy, Wuxia, Stories based around martial arts, books from Korea, China, America… etc.

There were also some History and science books stored near the back of the library since not many came to see those books.

Looking around, Sora casually grabbed a couple of books before heading over to a chair to sit down and read a little.

Flipping open the book and reading through it rapidly, Sora finished reading an inch thick book in about 10 minutes.

Because of his amazing perception and comprehension, Sora could instantly read books by simply glancing at them. Using this, Sora read through the rest of the books he had grabbed.

From the very first book he had read, Sora's golden eyes had been shining. As if he had realized something.

By the time he finished reading the various books he had grabbed, Sora had a thinking look on his face.

He had read so many books right now from the various sections of the library.

Books with magic themes, magic with martial arts, cultivation, Murim, worlds based around peculiar energy and abilities.

Sora had realized something from the very first book.

He was no longer in a 'normal' world.

He has a Quirk, a Regeneration Quirk.

The world he was in was no longer simple. His thinking can no longer be tied to thoughts of 'normal'.

Magic, Cultivation, Murim…

After reading stories like those, Sora decided to broaden his thinking. Maybe cultivation and magic wasn't real, but it made Sora think.

He knew that Martial arts and the human body has vast potential, but it was only how one tapped into it that mattered.

Closing his eyes, Sora leaned back his head and immersed himself in his thoughts.

Thinking.

Analyzing.

Contemplating.

Before finally recalling something.

His past life.

Sora recalled something peculiar when he was in his late 20's. Something he had chanced upon for a fleeting moment.

At that time, he didn't think much about it since he wasn't desperate for strength. But now, in this unpredictable world with various types of Quirks, Sora not only wanted to reign as the strongest, but to ensure the safety of his family and himself.

That one particular day of his martial arts training, Sora felt like his body was tapping into something. Like points along his body were receiving stimuli.

'Should I try it?'

Sora opened his eyes and began to wonder.

Would it work?

'No reason to not try,' thought Sora with a smile as he stood up and put back the books to where they once were.

Walking out, Sora went back home with some minor excitement.

It was as if he had finally cleared his mind.

He was now in a world with stuff like Quirks, anything might as well be possible in this world.

If he can't increase his strength the normal way, then maybe he should focus on developing his Quirk. Yet that didn't mean he will just stop training.

Arriving home, Sora greeted his mother and father who had returned before heading to the backyard.

Going into the shade provided by the tree, Sora closed his eyes and recalled those movements he had done back when he felt the stimuli on his body. His perception and comprehension worked instantaneously as he thought of a perfect set of movements composed of 372 moves.

Huu~

Exhaling out slowly, Sora moved his body.

Clack!

The instant Sora made a move, his wrist was instantly dislocated.

Fixing it in an instant, Sora went back to moving.

Clack!

"…"

Without wasting his time talking, Sora fixed it and tried again.

With a lack of talent, Sora couldn't master the first move, the simplest move of all, until an hour later.

Pa!

The instant Sora performed the first move successfully, he felt a tiny point on his body grow stimulated.

Moving quickly, Sora acted fast and moved into the next moves.

Clack!

Needless to say, Sora continued to fail.

From the second move onwards, Sora had already given up on counting all the times he had failed and dislocated something.

Three moves in, Sora dislocated one of his fingers.

Six moves in, his leg…

7…

10…
