As soon as Alex finished his sentence, he was dragging me out of the kitchen towards a pair of stairs in the back. When we got to the top he released my hand and turned to the right. I followed him down the hallway until he stopped in front of a door. It had a keep out sign but I kind of expected it.
"Here we are." He said as he opened the door and stepped aside to allow me to enter first.
"Thank you." I walk into a room that does not match the boy now standing beside me. His room is a dark grey with white book cases covering an entire wall with a TV in the middle. There is a couch and some chairs next to it. His king size bed is up against the opposite wall and faces the TV. He has a desk in the corner along with 2 doors on either side of the bed. His walls have soccer posters and jerseys. "Woah."
"Woah? Why woah?" He walks over and plops onto his bed. He lays spread over the side and pulls up his phone above his head.
"Well what was I supposed to say, 'wow bro this room is really cool bro?' I'm not going to say that." I walked to his desk and set my bag down on the floor next to it.
"Please never say that again. I was just expecting you to say something other than woah." He sits up and leans back against the head board. "So what are we going to do for this wonderful project?" He sets down his phone.
"Well, I was going to follow the instructions and then spruce it up with some fancy art and extra fun facts and stuff. How does that sound?"
He nods slightly and then speaks, "That's good, but what if we did some sort of theme?"
"That could work. But what kind of theme?" I move to sit down in the desk chair.
"That's where I was hoping you could come up with something. You come up with the theme and I will draw it out. I'm pretty bad at the creative stuff." He admits.
"Alright. Let's start brainstorming."
---
"No. That won't work. We have to be able to present this to the class. They won't know half the stuff on here that your basing their previous knowledge skills on. You forget that they are normal high school students, not prodigies like you." He paces back and forth in front of the project. his left hand is on his forehead and his right hand is in his pocket.
"I know that, but if we try to bring out something that is slightly college level, our grade might get a little better." I hold my head in my hands while my elbows rest against the desk.
"Lily, our grade will be fine. This project already has every thing that was on the rubric. I don't understand why you're so focused on having extra stuff on it. I understand he decorating it but all the extra information is unnecessary. Calm down about it." He stops to say that and then goes back to pacing.
"Okay, fine. We can take out some of the extra stuff but we still need some, it's my trade mark. And as for our grade, I'm never calm about grades."
"Clearly." He mumbles. I just scoff in response. "What it's the truth and you know it."
"Yeah, yeah I know, but it doesn't mean I'll openly admit it." I lay my head down on the table. I feel his hands land on my shoulders.
"Of course you won't. Your a girl." I can practically hear his smirk. He pats my shoulders and walks over to his door. "Let's go down stairs, I bet dinner is almost ready."
I stand up to follow him out the door. We go downstairs and step into the kitchen. I see 6 people running all over each other in the kitchen. As soon as we step in, they all look up and smile. This should be fun.
So I'm going to add to this chapter toomorrow. Somethings just came up. Be looking for the update soon. Thanks for reading.<3
