MEETING THE FAMILY
She held her breath. Surprise isn't the right word to describe what she felt upon hearing the words he just said.
Mixed emotions start to rumble inside her.

She hasn't recovered yet when Alex spoke again,
"Finish your meal before it gets cold," he said and sliced the steak on her plate.
She doesn't know what to say. She just stared at him while finishing her food.
A week ago, after their marriage and experiencing the happiness of a happy newlywed couple, Alex received a call advising that his grandfather is in a critical condition. He was asked if he could go home because he was looking for him and always called his name.
He immediately asked Daniel to buy him and Diane tickets so they could go together.
