I was heading to exchange some magic stones, we still haven't decided how to go about selling the storage rings. Hephie said that she'll handle it on your end. She should do a better job at promoting a product than I.

But for now, I needed the Valis for potion ingredients. A lot of them are on floors I consider too inefficient, so I need to actually buy them.

'First-World problems.' I shook my head.

''Selling magic stone, ain't ya?'' I heard from my side.

It was a flat red-haired goddess, accompanying her was a familiar golden-haired little girl. The not so weak little girl was carrying multiple bags half her size that hung from her hands with no emotion.

''Lady Loki. Is that you?'' I said sarcastically with over-the-top emotions, a small tear escaped my eye.

''Ugh. Stop it, will ya? Sounds disgusting when ya say it.'' She made a puking gesture, hiding behind the girl.

The girl in question watched us with a confused expression.

'This fucking bitch.' I grimaced.

''Yer a million years to get one me, boya.'' She grinned.

I gave a glance at her companion ''Don't ya look at her.'' Loki assumed a pose of possessiveness over the petite golden-haired doll.

I rolled my eyes '' Come on Loki, she's just a little girl, what can I possibly do to her?'' I could see a small mouth twitch on Aiz, but it disappeared just as quickly.

'So not completely emotionless, huh?'

'' I'm sure you've already heard of the Sword Princess, but this is Aiz-tan, my favourite child. Isn't she the cutest?'' She propped her up like a proud father.

''What's with that reaction! Ya don't think she's cute??'' Loki looked somewhat offended.

I sighed and went to pet the head of the Loli.

'Oh no! What have I done?' I widened my eyes.

I removed my hand from her head, but she just put it back the next moment and bobbed her head in bliss.

Loki and I— mostly Loki, were speechless, seeing what was happening.

''What did you do to her?'' The goddess angrily grabbed my shoulders, shaking them. All the while, my hand was still on Aiz's head.

We were gathering more attention than we already were. The people started to focus on us. ''Loki, stop it now.'' She didn't listen.

The both of us stopped when a single tear escaped the loli's eye. Then, a few more followed after.

All eyes were looking at me with disgust, like some sort of criminal. 'This does look fucking bad from an outsider's point of view.' I faltered.

I could see Loki, the goddess of trickery smiling mischievously at me. A smug quirk added to her smirk.

She knew exactly what she was doing.

'I will not have my social life fucking ruined like that Loki.' I vowed.

My one knee hit the wooden floor of the guild quarters. I hugged the Loli and kept patting her head, that elicited more hiccups and quiet sobs. I said with a stronger voice, enough for everyone listening in to barely hear.

''It's ok, nothing is going to happen to you. Loki is always making you work for her all day— and ordering you to wear strange clothes.'' I said giving Loki a disgusted look.

She had a horror-ridden expression, she knew where I was going with this. She was about to intervene but Aiz nodded her head.

The poor girl didn't know what was happening, she just nodded innocently to my not so innocent question.

As if agreed upon beforehand, all eyes turned to Loki in the same disgusted manner.

''How do ya know that??? Even Mama Riveria doesn't know!'' She shouted to me in a whisper tone. Although, some higher-level beast-kin heard that.

I gave her the most shit-eating grin I could muster up at that moment, and she just groaned.

Soft rhythmic breathing was heard when the commotion died down a bit.

Being a God meant you could get away with a lot more stuff.

''Just what did ya do to her?'' Loki looked casual, but a wrong answer could start a chain of unsavoury events.

''I've been told I have really good head pats, this time was somehow special. What to try one?'' I offered.

''No thank ya.'' She sighed and grabbed her nose bridge. ''Yer lucky Hephaestus has yer back.'' Loki crossed her arms on her non-existent chest.

''Look, I didn't know this would happen okay? Besides, she looks like she had a rough past.'' I 'wondered'.

She gave no particular reaction, but she stiffened a bit for the slightest moments. '' That she did.''

''How about I escort you to the Manor?'' I gestured to the sleeping girl in my arms.

'She grew slightly from the last time I stumbled upon her.' I muttered faintly surprised.

''Only because both our Familias are friendly.'' She chastised me.

The Twilight Manor is a huge structure. If the Fólkvangr is an impregnable fortress, then the Twilight manor was a beautiful castle with some defences set up.

Multiple tall towers overlap and support each other, with the middle tower being the tallest.

''Here we are.'' The goddess said.

I proceeded to wake up the Loli in my arms. She looked disgruntled at first but then blushed out of embarrassment when I put her down.

The salty goddess tsek when she saw that.

''Ok, we arrived. Need to go now.'' I gestured to Loki when I saw a guard coming.

She just shooed me away.

I felt a small grab on my sleeve. I looked behind me to see an embarrassed Aiz.

''Stay.'' She said in a quiet voice.

Loki almost bore a hole through me with her pointed stares.

She sighed for the millionth time this day and pushed me from my back to the manor.
