Love.

One word that has been felt by all humans on this earth. A feeling that will make your heart beat fast and want to continue to see the person who has created that feeling in your heart and pushed you to want to have that person.

Love; is when you fall for someone's soul.

As Ezlyn felt for Marlon. She loves Marlon, her husband who had made a sacred agreement with her. She even gave all her love to Marlon.

If she doesn't love Marlon what is this marriage for? It was she who want to married with Marlon, the man she had always dreamed of being her life partner in old age.

You ask her, what is love? Then Ezlyn will give you her answer...

Love is honesty and trust.

Love is helping one another.

Love is reaching your dreams together.

Love is the connection of two hearts, and...

Love is when two people touch each other's souls.

But, did Ezlyn get all of the answers she gave? No, she didn't get any of the answers she gave. Because of Marlon, her husband never loved her.

During this time Ezlyn felt that their souls and hearts were connected, understood each other, and loved each other. But it was all just a temporary illusion that Marlon gave and made her blind to love.

Ezlyn stretched out her hand, she was holding a pictures that was on display on a table. In the picture, a man and woman are seen wearing wedding clothes and smiling at the camera, as well as the man is smiling handsomely.

That's right, it's her wedding pictures with Marlon.

Ezlyn smiled. "He's very handsome," said Ezlyn, rubbing Marlon's face on the photo.

She missed him...

She missed Marlon's smile that she had always seen on her husband's face. The smile that had made her fall in love with Marlon so many times, every time she saw that smile.

But the thing that Ezlyn liked the most, had disappeared from Marlon. She never again saw the smile that always made her heart beat fast and made her cheeks turn red.

That smile is so beautiful... really beautiful.

But Marlon no longer allowed Ezlyn to see that smile but changed it with a scream and anger that was so painful, Ezlyn hadn't imagined before that Marlon would turn the thing she liked the most into the thing she hated the most.

Was it like this from the start of Ezlyn and Marlon's marriage?

No, their marriage at first was very beautiful, too beautiful to even say. Marlon always looked at Ezlyn with love and treated her so gently as if he didn't want Ezlyn to get hurt in the slightest.

Ezlyn even remembers very well when Marlon always brought her a white rose and said 'this white rose is a form of my love for you.'

Everything is so sweet... so beautiful... and too beautiful to be true.

But Like a dream, all lost in an instant. Marlon turns into a man that Ezlyn doesn't recognize. Marlon who always looked at her with love turned into a look of hatred. The gentle Marlon turned into the rough Marlon and hurt her.

The smile that used to always adorn Ezlyn's beautiful face turned into tears. Marlon had given that smile to her but it was also Marlon who took that smile away from her.

"Where's my old Marlon? I miss him..." said Ezlyn sadly. Both of her eyes can not be separated from her wedding picture.

Why was happiness taken from her?

Does she not deserve all that happiness?

Doesn't she deserve love?

She had even almost erased the word love in her heart. For her, love only made her suffer not make her happy and this was not the kind of love she wanted.

While deep in thought, Ezlyn suddenly heard a cell phone ringing. Ezlyn took her eyes off her wedding pictures and walked into the television room.

Drrtt... drrtt... drrtt...

Without waiting for long Ezlyn immediately took her cell phone which she placed on the sofa. Ezlyn looked at the caller's name on the screen of her cellphone, Ezlyn took a breath and picked up the call, and put a smile on her face.

"Hello, mommy!" said Ezlyn cheerfully.

That's right, it was her mother who currently called her.

"Hello, how are you, my dear daughter? Mommy misses you very much."

"I miss you too mom."

"How are you, dear?"

"I'm fine mom. How about you?"

"Mom is also fine , I just came back from the farm. Where is your husband, Marlon?"

"Marlon just left for work, mom."

"Gosh, mother's daughter-in-law seems to be very busy. If so, when will he have time to be with my daughter."

"Mom knows that Marlon has a lot of work right? Don't worry mom, Marlon always spends his time with me."

Lie.

Again, what she said was a lie. She doesn't know how many times she has told a lie to her mother. Act as if her married life is fine and make her happy.

But in fact, Ezlyn was just trying to cover up the ugly truth.

"Mom just wanted to know how you and Marlon are doing, the most important thing is that my daughter is doing well there with her handsome husband."

Ezlyn chuckled in response to her mother's words from the other side.

"Okay then, mom will hang up the call."

"Mom wait!"

"What's wrong dear? You want to say something?"

Ezlyn was silent for a moment with her hands tightening her grip on her cell phone, then Ezlyn bit her lower lip.

"I want to go home... I want to see you mom," said Ezlyn as the smile disappeared from her face.

Ezlyn could hear her mother's chuckle from the other side. The voice that always managed to make her feel calm and felt like she was at home.

"Dear, you can go home anytime. You can go home when you feel tired," said Ezlyn's mother, who unconsciously made her daughter shed tears.

Yes, Ezlyn wants to go home... she wants to go home...

To end her hell of sorrow.
