Harvest Time

After the taste testing, Elaina concluded that the EX04 is one of the vegetables that she can confidently say is one of the great experiments that was currently in her possession. She enjoyed the vegetable a lot and even Julia said that she enjoyed eating it. Therefore, out of all the experimental plants, the EX04 gave the most promising growth and usage out of all the four.

The observation is not yet done as that was the first observation log that Elaina has given. She will continue to give the god of farming a few more information regarding the new plants. However, until the experimentation log is completed, she will not yet be done dealing with it.

Elaina also understands this. She can't just say that out of all the four crops, there are only two that succeeded as one is still not finished growing and the other is bitter. Just because the second experimental plant is bitter, doesn't mean that it is a failure. It's just that for now, she has no idea how to properly use it. It would be another thing if it was a failure, but Elaina is certain that the plant has another usage, it's just that right now, she still has no idea what it was for now.

And so, Elaina will have to provide another observation log once more in the future. However, Elaina will have to postpone that soon enough. After all, it will be time for Elaina to begin her final preparations for the upcoming Bazaar.

The next day, after suffering from the usual morning sickness and recovering from it, Elaina began her final preparations. After all, the festival will be held tomorrow. Her final preparations are also underway so Elaina is not worried. But she is nervous as this will be the first time she will be attending a new festival.

"Sis, you looked hyped up today, eh? Are you that excited to begin the harvesting process?" Julia asked.

"Of course. Now that we are in the final day of the preparation, I am also getting nervous as well," Elaina smiled with determination plastered on her face.

"Woah, this is the first time that I see you looking pretty much ready to join in and hyped up for the results," Julia couldn't believe seeing Elaina's new behavior.

"After all of the favor being in my odds always back then in the Luminous Kingdom, competing lost its meaning since I can just win even if I don't do anything in many festivals, there is no challenge at all. Now, I will be experiencing the thrill of winning and losing fair and square once more. The rivals won't just let it be if I win without any trials and tribulations as well."

"Well, if that is the case, let's begin! The field is full of plants and there is no way we will be done in the morning!" Julia pulled over her sleeves, ready to get dirty.

"Good! Let's go!"

The sun shines brightly and the wind is blowing nicely, creating peaceful weather, perfect for harvesting new crops.

Julia gazes on the fields full of growing crops. The ripe vegetables are now ready to be harvested and for the first time in her life, this is the first time she saw plants like these having lush and bountiful harvests. Not a single one of the plants has a small number of fruits in them. They have lots of them hanging all over their leaves. The strawberries for once would be a lot as well.

"Looks like we will be carrying lots of harvested fruits and vegetables this time, Sis. I don't think our rucksack will be enough to put them all inside!" Julia estimated.

"I know right? Which is why I ordered a cart for this purpose. Come, help me pull the cart, putting down the crates in them, we should be able to carry all of the harvests back from the field."

The two girls immediately pull the cart designed for this purpose only. And just like what Elaina wanted, she and Julia easily pulled the cart with ease even though it was carrying many crates at once. Whatever process the carpenter put on this one to make the progress work, did a good job.

When they arrived on the field, Julia could smell the sweet smell of strawberries wafting all over the place. She wonders how Elaina can make the strawberries bloom and bear fruit this fast considering she just planted them a few days ago but now, all of the plants have been growing nicely, and are producing harvests with quite a lot to be picked up. It was like the plants were helping Elaina voluntarily and using this process, the plants were contributing to Elaina.

"Julia, I will harvest this area while you go and collect the fruits and vegetables on the other half. We needed to split the work to spread out and carry all of the harvests back to the crate."

"Gotcha."

With a grin, Julia headed to the other side of the field while Elaina started to harvest on the other side. What Elaina didn't know, Julia started to harvest the crops a lot faster than she could. With a flick of her hand, Julia controlled the motion of the plants and plucked all of the fruits of the strawberries she passed by in one singular tug. They started to float and fill the rucksack pretty fast, allowing Julia to quickly harvest most of the fruits with ease.

Since Elaina is busy with her task, she doesn't see Julia reaping all of the crops using magic, already halfway done with her harvesting method. Elaina is not against this method but she would be feeling a bit powerless with the method Julia was harvesting things.

In just an hour, Julia finished harvesting her side of strawberries, cucumbers, potatoes, and the other vegetables that Elaina planted while Elaina was not yet done at all.

Of course, Julia was so surprised that she already filled the crate so fast with just the harvest she had done on one side. The harvest that Elaina has done on the other part is not yet even added to the crates, all of the contents in the crates are all of her harvests and yet they are brimming full of the harvests.

Seeing that she has plenty of idle time left after finishing her harvesting route, she decides to join Elaina in the harvesting process and ease up the process that Elaina is doing.

"Sis! Let me join you on this side!" Julia declared.

"You are done harvesting on your side? Did you just use magic to harvest them?" Elaina asked.

"Yeah. I am done. And yes, I did use magic. Is it bad?"

"Oh no, it's not bad. Just kinda jealous that you are capable of doing that alone and finishing the process a lot faster while here I am, trudging the process and not yet even halfway done."

"Haha, let's get this done with Sis. After all, the next thing you should do should be resting since tomorrow is a big day. Let's reap all of them, shall we?" Julia smiled.

Elaina smiled and the two continued to finish their task. It's time to wrap things up.
