Chap 82 - The Future

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩 𝟖𝟐 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞:

* 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐌𝐌! *

A large explosion happens inside a city that was in flames where many buildings are now laying down in nothing more than debris and chunks scattered throughout the streets filled with bodies of civilians going from the elderly all the way down to mothers hugging their newborns, numerous looking in some way corroded.

As even more large yellow domes of energy emerge from everywhere, a blur of blue crosses a random street far away from them, going the opposite way as the explosions seem to follow it.

*𝑺𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒉!* - The blur enters an alleyway stepping into a puddle, her reflection is clearly seen in it for a second, her clothes damaged and white hair messy.

' 𝑭𝑨𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑹!!!!'

Clenching her sharp teeth she huffs exhausted, but with great determination she keeps running, the reason why she couldn't stop was being carried on her back, a muscular man with black hair and some scars across his body.

His body was filled with injuries going from light to deep ones a normal human would probably die with solely the pain behind it. His black eyes were blankly staring down at the younger girl like he was lost in his mind.

Breathing roughly, the girl exits another alley, steps into a street, and quickly enters another gap between buildings as she couldn't stop. Her blue eyes frowned as she determinedly dashed, more and more explosions ringing close to them.

She couldn't understand how these things knew where they were, but she didn't have time to question anything. Taking another step she feels a movement on her back, with her eyes widening a bit she briefly smiles.

" Gohan!!!! Gohan!!! I'm almost losing them! Just wait a bit more!!!" - With a voice similar to a certain Owl, she hypes up even more, receiving a small push to accelerate even further.

She could already see the end of the city, a bit far away from the end of it a large forest was waiting for them, there she would lose the guys that were blowing everything as they closed in, a simple plan, but one she was sure to work.

All that hype was cut the second the half Saiyan behind her finally got his bearings, and after a quick glance back he stated.- " Gura, leave me here."

Her eyes twitched after hearing that, and anger raising up on her face as she didn't even attempt to stop. - " No! We're almost there!!!"

Throwing a tantrum she receives a tired sigh from the young adult. He smiled for a second, but with resolute eyes, he floated up as they crossed another alley.

Rapidly making a detour, Gura slides on her soles, turning around ready to start shouting asking why he did that.

All that stops as she looks past him, two seemly teenagers with strange masks have finally decided to quit their play and go directly for the kill.

With horrified eyes, she tried to cry to him that they needed to get out of there, but to her shock, all she received was a tired chuckle. After seeing them approaching Gohan's feet touched the ground.

Hair floating with the wind, he turned around just enough to look at Gura, his black eyes meeting her blue ones, she wanted to scream that they should get away. Those things that were coming they wouldn't be able to fend them off.

Everyone tried, they were going to celebrate her birthday party the next day, her father even accepted to take her to a park after she insisted for a week straight and she was looking forward to it.

{ 𝐀 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 }

He was a cold man, but she knew he loved her, after all, he did 'play'(Spar) with her constantly. She was told he almost gave up his search for Power after a man called Goku passed away from a heart disease.

Luckily he seemed to hype up a bit after she was born, even if not trying to surpass the limits of a Super Saiyan, he still trained.

But, even with all those happy moments she had with him.... what happened today would be stuck in her head forever.

Two individuals showed up in their garden through a black portal while her father taught her some moves the hard way, and they soon started to shoot balls of energy everywhere not even giving her or anyone a warning or a second to think, all she saw was one of those blasts floating directly to her face.

Knowing very well she wouldn't be able to move out of the way in time she could promise death was about to meet her. Luckily, a large golden glow exploded that blinded her for a second.

After being able to see again, a short golden warrior with a very large forehead was in front of her, having deflected the blast up toward the sky. His face grimaced heavily feeling his glove corroding after that attack hit it, not even turning around he walked forward toward the two new individuals.

" Get the hell out of here Gura, go join your mother with her family on that vacation island of hers and disappear. I don't know what these two hold against us, but those strange masks must have a finger on it.... Well, be honored, a Super Saiyan will be your ending!! 𝑯𝑨𝑨𝑨𝑨𝑨𝑯!!"

Powering even further, Vegeta screams like a beast. Aura exploding for a second as the city shook with his power, pointing a thumb to himself with a large smirk.

" I will make you pay for attacking the brat, and don't worry, the beating will be made especially bisexual for the both of you!"

*𝐔𝐒𝐇!*

Disappearing from his location, the once prince started to exchange moves against the duo of twin Androids that sported those strange masks.

Seeing her father rushing forward as Gura was already running away and entering their house to call out to her mother and warn her about water was happening.

*𝑪𝑹𝑨𝑺𝑯𝑯!!*

As soon as she entered the house's kitchen, Vegeta was sent flying through the walls inside the room she just entered, his body full of injuries.

She didn't have time to comprehend anything. In an instant another large yellow beam was already coming from the garden, aiming for her a second time.

Time slowing down in her eyes, she felt someone hugging her, knowing they wouldn't move away completely from the blast range. A certain Hybrid Saiyan who was visiting happened to stumble upon the small girl while walking into the kitchen to get a cup of water, his initial plans being gone after hearing a loud noise.

His black eyes widened seeing a blast coming for Gura, who was about to be killed. To the best of his abilities, he proceeded to concentrate all of his energy to dash to her, hair standing up from its natural black to golden to enhance his speed.

Son Gohan hugged the small girl as he jumped away from the blast, grunting loudly as it scraped his back.

The blast tore through a giant part of the city with the starting point being the Capsule Corp's building, and above it, for some reason, a golden light was also seen for a split second before it disappeared with the destruction of the building.

After that, he did stand up to try and fight their new enemies but his back was now basically fried and dripping blood on the ground as his muscles were showing in a very gorey view. Gura's memory got a bit foggy after it, but she does remember that when she thought about helping her dad and Gohan she was reprimanded.

From there it was downhill, some other earthling friends of theirs appeared to support them after feeling the large spike of power, being met with a Ki wave from the Androids that Gohan attempted to block to save their friends.

Barely surviving the blast he was scooped up unconscious by Gura who was hiding by one of the debris, she wanted to help..... She knew she could!

Running a bit carrying the Hybrid half awake.

" GURA!!! GET THE HEL- 𝑼𝑮𝑯!?!?"- Vegeta was cut off as he was punched in the stomach by 17, followed by a kick to his arm courtesy of 18.

*𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐌!* - Sending the Super Saiyan Prince flying to a couple of buildings close by, going through a total of six until he got the balance needed to rush back into the battle.

Following her father's command, the white head started floating away, quickly finding out that she was easy prey as multiple blasts closed in after her.

Luckily, another new player appears deflecting the blasts away with every bit of strength he had, almost losing his hand feeling it essentially melt on contact to give her a chance to flee.

" Gura go! 𝐍𝐨𝐰!!"

Making his appearance, Piccolo was shocked to see Gohan's state, but he had pushed through it, it hadn't been long since they lost Goku, and losing the boy now would be their doom.

So he aided from a safe distance with blasts, he couldn't allow himself to die here. And seeing Vegeta not being able to do anything really made him question if this was a good idea. If anything he would need to dip, losing the Dragon Balls wasn't the best of their options.

Now knowing the free air was her enemy, Gura floated around the alleyways to have better coverage.

As she escaped she soon started to hear explosions everywhere, leaving her in the white of what was entirely happening back there while she flew through the buildings.

Once she was far enough, she stopped to get an air of breathing, the situation was surreal, too fast-paced.

' Who were those people... Why they're doing thi-' - * 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐌𝐌!!!!! *

The ground shook, and buildings trembled. The large city was lit up as a dome of yellow energy started to expand out from Capsule Corps, the force put behind it didn't seem to be created to disintegrate things but only damage them.

Slowly Buildings fell apart as they expanded further, the screams of pain from the civilians were heard all throughout the streets. Their skin melted away from the power exposure, it was a technique created with the intention of causing the most suffering possible.

The sound of doom expanded at insane speeds, quickly reaching half of the city, and close to where Gura was. At this point, she had already started to fly once more.

" Please make it.... please make it..." - Burning her Ki at a crazy pace she tries to get away from the blast range.

Following quickly behind her the dome of destruction was closing in, clenching her teeth she felt the thing right behind her. And even with her pushing everything she had, it overcame her as well.

" NO- 𝘼𝘼𝘼𝘼𝘼𝙂𝙃𝘼𝘼𝘼!?!?!?" - The effects took effect instantly, she cried and grunted in pain, Gohan who she held on her back by the legs also grunted feeling his injuries burn even in his unconscious state.

Clenching her hands to Gohan's legs she clenched her mouth shut, both hers and Gohan's clothes burning away quickly inside the hell of a dome, the surrounding buildings giving away and crumbling down like sand castles.

Screaming to motivate her the small girl exploded in Ki and blitzed forward as she flew, her body burning as it withstood the damage, and at some point, she started to feel weak. The body was burning Ki to keep the tough skin Ki users had.

Screaming and holding the man on her back, the daughter of the once Prince makes her way out of the dome, overcoming it as the thing stops advancing.

Tired, she started to breathe heavily, it was by this point she started to run. The Ki reserves she had would lower even faster if she flew, so preserving them to her best she jumped around the alleyways.

{ 𝑮𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘. }

Having finally woken up, Gohan was willing to make way for the girl to flee, he knew they still had a chance, a Ki was still around and fleeing and he was sure it must've been Piccolo.

They still had a shot. And so harnessing every drop of willpower he powered up, illuminating the alley and pushing Gura to take a few steps back.

His hair now golden.- " We still have a chance, Gura, this isn't the end. We just got caught off guard, now go, find Piccolo, and reunite the Dragon Balls. 𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐘!!! 𝐆𝐎!!!!! 𝐍𝐎𝐖!!!"

Not giving up he digs his feet into the ground, cracking the building walls and everything surrounding them.

*𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐌!!* - Breaking the sound barrier with a delayed explosion as he zoomed toward the incoming threats.

He was going to buy them time, but Gura didn't want to. She felt useless. - ' If only I could go Super Saiyan.... maybe.... maybe!'

Holding the tears in, she had to do as she was told, first find her mother to get that Dragon radar, then Mr.Piccolo later on when they are far away and safe from the Androids.

With a settled plan she spun around and made her way out of there, fearful to look back.

Although after five steps. - " GURA-!!! " - She heard her name being called.

Finding it strange she gave it a glimpse, it wouldn't hurt anyone, right?

Her eyes were met with the worst possible scenario, Gohan was reaching a hand towards her, a bit further behind him, the Androids he wanted to intercept had used that strange technique.

They stood side by side with an open hands aimed at each other, each of their palms facing the other's, a small yellow transparent orb in the middle of it that started to expand..... Dr.Gero found fascinating what properties Chaos Energy had on things after hearing it from Fu.

And tried to replicate giving a similar corrosive trait to the Android's energy, and it seemed to work pretty well, because the closer you are the stronger the effects.

Knowing that Gohan was the new victim, he immediately felt the effects when he entered inside its range, he did try to put up a barrier of Ki, but little did it do after a few seconds it started to corrode as well. His only wish was that the small girl would flee.

Not having time to register her current state, Gura started to run, the dome of doom following close behind her as she almost tripped, trying to fly for a short while with the remainings of her energy doing little to nothing to put a distance between her and the dome.

The laughter she heard from behind the masks of the twins tormented her to run even faster. Tears ran down her eyes, she felt the dome right after her as she reached another alleyway's end towards a street.

" 𝑫𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚..." - Was all she muttered before feeling it eat her whole. Wanting to scream in pain her body started to hurt, it was everywhere. She wanted it to just die at that point.

And in the middle of all that, she heard a voice, a very pained shout and out of breath one that brought a bit of hope to her heart.

" Don't worry.... 𝐈 𝐆𝐎𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔!!!!"- The last thing she saw was a strand of blonde hair and a golden aura mixed with another blue inside it before she passed out.

* 𝑺𝒍𝒖𝒖𝒖𝒖𝒓𝒑 *

Have been monitoring this place for some time already, time dilation and all that and it's been a month since the Clockhead gave me this mission, and now here I'm drinking a milkshake while watching a bunch of people walk through the streets.

It seems in here the events are closely related to the original Timeline. Goku-san died because of his heart disease a bit earlier than I expected from my investigations. Also, I didn't really see any Androids so far.....

At this point, I'm wondering if they will even exist here.... Maybe the Old Hag sent me to this place to chill....

Right now I'm sitting at the tables outside the cafe I got my drink, they had milkshakes so I took one.

Drinking it when from the corner of my eyes I see a curious white-haired little girl running towards the Capsule Corp side, followed behind her was a short man with very spiky hair and a face that made seem like he was about to pop in annoyance with how many clothes boxes he was carrying.

It doesn't seem he's annoyed at how heavy they are, it would be weird if he did so. But more so how the girl kept asking every couple of steps if he would take her to a park. Can say through, I'm finding it quite entertaining seeing the once Prince for some reason acting nothing like Father said he did.

I wonder why he has chilled down so much, maybe having a baby girl to worry about and his so-called rival dying by something like a disease had somehow put some extra sense into his large forehead.

Closing my eyes and laying back, this place is so peaceful that it kinda reminds me of my home, they are still there, but working as a Time Patroller is way more fun, having the Watch and all. Dad supported my decision after I explained that I was helping other time streams.

Hahah, I still remember when he started boasting about how, ' As expected from my daughter! A Saiyan even if a hybrid still is destined to do great things!' , I was blushing like a tomato after that.....

Hmmm.... I think maybe a visit will do fine, the time there seems to be passing slower than some other places I worked at, wondering how many days have been since I departed for them. Maybe he finally cut that big hair of his?

*giggles*

"Can't really see him doing that...." - Standing up from my table and walking towards a trash can that was close by I tossed the empty plastic cup I was drinking in there.

Giving a quick wave to the Miss that attended me inside the cafe and starting to make my way towards Capsule Corp. Walking through the sidewalk I take out a golden Watch, looking at it not feeling any abnormalities close by.

When something from outside the time stream enters it will act as a radar, Kronii seems to have this skill as a passive of her own, I once worked with her personally when I was starting and she acted faster than the Watch could even notify me.

Pretty boringly solving the problem as soon as it appeared, it was just a random dude who got a time-traveling machine he shouldn't have. We have protocols on who are the ones who can travel through time in each Timeline.

So if someone like, let's say Gohan is supposed to never travel in time and he did so, that would be a Time Scroll we would have to take care of, taking him back and seeing how he achieved that feat and maaaybe even calling a higher ranking Time Patroller to help him if he had a motive as to why he did so, it varies quite a lot.

At the end of the day, it's a pretty fun and rewarding job when you stop something that shouldn't happen or be in a certain Timeline.

Turning a corner I see the duo from earlier entering Capsule Corps' main building..- " It's pretty huge."

..... That's what she said!.... *Gremlin Laugh*....

Ahem! Back to my job!

I watch as they enter the building, the smaller girl jumping around excited about something, I'm one street away just meddling with my Watch in my hands, resting my back by a random building while waiting for something.

To my surprise, someone does show up as soon as I see Vegeta and the small girl exit the garden with their hands empty of their shopping packages. A man with short black hair and clothes very similar to Goku-San, the true one.

He really looks different from the one in my place, here he has a Baddass aura around him for some reason. Looking down at my Watch, nothing.

*Sigh* - It seems like today will be yet another casual day. Taking a step forward I make my way towards the place I was drinking a few minutes ago, probably going to buy another and find something to do.

* 𝑪𝑳𝑰𝑪𝑲𝑪𝑳𝑰𝑪𝑲𝑪𝑳𝑰𝑪𝑲!!! *

Stopping everything as I felt the watch in my hands start to make a ticking noise like a wall clock would, but it got louder and louder making my eyes widen. I was about to turn a corner when I whipped my head back towards the place I just watched the Full and Half Saiyans enter.

Not having words to say before I was made aware.

This wasn't something I could even think about handling.

*𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑴!!!!*

Feeling a large explosion followed by someone crashing inside Capsule Corp, I pushed my power out together with the Watch's help so my presence would be hidden. My white aura appeared as I floated above the place that just withstood a giant explosion.

Watching as Vegeta who was inside the building tried to get up, and the white-haired girl stood there in shock not even being aware of another blast coming for her..... Now whoever was firing those immediately raised a thousand red flags...

Androids.... But not the normal ones that even I would be able to take on..... No.... They had those strange masks the people with the guy called Fu wore.....

'This is bad-' - Not having time to really think I immediately was forced to jump away after feeling that the blast they shot after the girl expanded mid trajectory, I thought about helping her, but now my main objective was getting myself out of the blast radius....

As for her, a certain someone was already working on it.

Clenching the Watch in my hands I focused my will on it, a golden aura appearing around me together with the blue one of the Watch. In an instant, I felt the blast hitting me as my speeds weren't enough, and the next I was close to one of the streets outside Capsule Corp.

Falling to the ground on all fours, feeling my golden aura go away.

*𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇!!!!* - " 𝐇𝐔𝐅𝐅!!! 𝐇𝐔𝐅!! DAMNED TIME POWERS!!! HUF!! IF ONLY THEY WERE EASIER TO USE!!"

Coughing dry, I tried getting back my breath as the blast destroyed a good chunk of the city and some pieces of my clothes...*groans*. These are expensive.... Now...What did I do?

For that, the answer is simple. 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.

On a side note, there is also Time Stop, which I have not yet been able to pull off... But I'm not the Pillar of Time who can do these things without worrying about fricking nothing....

I can jump to where I would be going to be in the future as Relocation lets me skip to there instantly, appearing there with the Watch's help..... In small proportions, I can increase my speed or use it to dodge... Time Relocation is useful in various ways.

But the excessive use of this....

A normal Mortal body wasn't even supposed to be able to stay intact after using this thing, its effects take hold of the entire Universe and are pretty absolute from what I tested so far.... Have to be grateful for my dad's genes here for adapting so well to it....

Well.... there is that guy who could skip in time without even receiving a backslash... His body must be tough as hell.... And that Ginyu soldier, through Kronii said that it was just an area technique with enough overwhelming power one could easily move inside his area.

So this was more of an imitation if nothing.

As for how I can use this Watch and not be ripped apart by the regular time dilation? Saiyans can adapt to almost everything, and so since the first use where I almost died after activating it... I have been training and now I can keep my own for five or six uses while in my Super state....

Yeah.

Super Saiyan, was a pain in the ass to get but after a few months of hard work since starting working here, I got to it. The Time Patrollers around Kronton are pretty strong so the training grounds helped a lot too.

If my old man wasn't made obvious after all that, who is he.... Well..... He is a pretty large goofy head-

*𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐌!*

"Damnit!!" - Standing up once more after my small monologue after I finally got my breath back. Happened to use the Watch too much out of desperation, usually, it isn't this tashing with my body... Too late to complain now that they started to really go at it.

Turning around and taking flight once more, I float up, catching a better view of my surroundings with my Watch's stealth mode on seeing that the place just started to become a battlefield, the Androids were being showered with moves of Ki or physical ones. With neither of them doing anything to even scratch them....

Well, Piccolo seemed to be fairly far away charging up the moves and firing them, don't think it'll do much.... Smart choice though, if he's far away enough he can flee if needed. As long as he is alive they will always have a second chance.

But it still is pretty sad seeing it... Even with my help, it doesn't seem like we would be able to make any change.... I could try to return the Android's Time to when they were humans.... But... My life would go away with it as well...

Hell, I might just cease to exist if I could even push them back so much in time before dying to the backslashes.... Knowing my current limits could heal someone to their state a minute before at best, taking them back to when they were humans... is impossible.... Only Kronii might be able to.....𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒊𝒕!

𝑲𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒊!!!!

Starting to chant the return lines in my head, my best shot is having her or another Time Patroller here.... After saying the first parts of my return chant I immediately sense a dreadful feeling closing in, eyes wandering towards the fight once more, they couldn't even bulge more because they were already wide open.

A blast-like nuke was starting to expand from the Android's location, rapidly engulfing everyone and everything.

Still in the middle of my chant, I clench my teeth, hair standing up as a golden aura explodes outside my body while I quickly blitz away from there.

Couldn't really help the others who were inside the blast radius... but...

The thing was closing in as I passed by Piccolo's side, my power was still above theirs so I did something to help the green man, grabbing his collar as I felt his attention immediately shift to me, I quickly turned off my stealth and gave him a nod, his eyes widened but understood I wanted to help.

Not even waiting for confirmation I dragged him, spinning in midair and shouting while tossing him flying forward like a green rocket, not even bothering to understand what he shouted.

The blast was still coming, and I knew it would envelop me.... Piccolo probably won't be left unscathed given how fast it's advancing if it's used again closer to him....

Sighing I used my Watch to speed myself slightly, just enough to be faster than it so that it wouldn't overcome me. Proud of my use of the small Watch, my yellow aura was glowing strong as I floated above the city, my Ki rapidly decreasing as I got away from the blast after a few seconds of flying away.

The use of Time Acceleration obviously makes so everything is speeded up, even my Ki usage. Well, You gain in some areas and lose in others.

Seeing it was time to start chanting to return again, I kept hearing explosions. Feeling bad I couldn't do anything.... At least this place still has a chance with Piccolo.... My eyes for a second scanned towards where I just fled away from.

A humongous trail of destruction and corroded buildings was all that there was, the people who were unlucky to be close now are nothing more than bodies that stood in a state similar to being melted....

Almost puking I strengthened my nerves, more of those explosions were appearing all over the city as I chanted....

My chant was almost done as I sighed in relief...

Finally.... I could-

" 𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐀-"

𝑬𝒉?

Turning my head to an alleyway that was close to my left, I didn't know I had outrun the others who were fleeing.... Gohan's voice seemed... Terrified?

Following where the voice came from, and seeing the man now with his hair standing up in gold in a tight alleyway and behind him, there they were the Androids. Making me impressed with how they moved so close without me even noticing....

Looking at where he shouted at, the small white-haired girl I saw with Vegeta....

She was in a pretty rough shape and tried to flee as the Androids just started another blast, it quickly encompassed him and was following after the small girl.... I should follow Kronii's orders.... Right now with the blast being so close it sure will be stronger than ever....

Retreating is my best option to save this place....

Finally being completely decided..... I wouldn't be fast enough anyways.....Right.... So I can just finish the chant and-

" 𝑫𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚..." - Was all that I heard as the girl fell to the ground in pain while muttering under her breath now that the blast radius finally reached her.....
