The interview

"Remember to make this family proud, or else you'll regret everything you do." Maria grabbed Cara's hand and pulled her close to herself. Maria sounded one final note to her before pushing her forward. Maria made a point of reminding her of everything they'd learned and discussed over the previous few days.

Cara nodded in response as she was accompanied by one of the family's guards. He led her into a limousine, and Cara bowed her head as she entered the limousine. "Finally!" Cara heaved a sigh and adjusted her white dress. It was too tight and had her breasts almost spilling out. Although Cara's breasts were of moderate size, the tight white dress made them tighter, and she dared not complain about it to Maria, else she'd be dealt with.

Cara had learnt a lot ever since she became a slave to Alpha Simon's family. She had learnt that family meant everything to them and also that it was in disarray. They were all family, but they hated each other as if they bore grudges against each other in previous lives.

"We are here!" The guard accompanying Cara made an announcement as the limousine stopped. He opened the door and came out of it. "Come out," the guard ordered Cara in a stern tone. He handed over his hand and she took it. Just as she came out of the limousine, a red Bugatti parked behind his limousine, and Percy stepped out of the car in style. He rubbed his hair and smiled as reporters rushed towards him.

Cara watched as Percy posed for pictures and answered the reporters swiftly without missing any information. She had had her eyes on him for so long that she didn't notice him as he walked towards her. "My bride to be is here!" Percy announced and pulled her closer to himself. "Do as I have told you else.." he whispered into her ears, and he made it seem as if he was kissing her.

"Is it true that she is pregnant for you?" One of the reporters questioned

Percy chuckled and pulled Cara even tighter to himself. "Why should I answer that? Isn't it rude to ask questions in front of another broadcast station? " Percy asked the reporter.

"... I..." The reporter stuttered, unable to form any words, and just then, bodyguards trooped out of the broadcast station, blocking Cara and Percy from the reporters. Percy wrapped his hands around Cara's waist, and they both walked into the broadcast and were led into a room.

"I apologize for the ruckus caused by the other broadcast station, your highness," The chief editor of the TV station, Mr. Yen, apologized with his head bowed.

Percy stared into Cara's eyes and smiled at her. "You've made those reporters molest my fiancee to the point that she is scared."

Cara blinked twice to make sure that she wasn't dreaming. The prince was actually smiling at her. It's something Cara never believed would happen in thousands of years.

The whole staff apologized."You may sit here and have this place to yourself until we are ready to shoot," The chief editor pointed to a brown couch in the room. It was the only thing in the room with a glass table. "We shall leave you alone right now." The chief editor bowed his head and turned to leave, but then he remembered something and something. "I'll be sending our staff to bring you refreshment before the shooting," he informed them.

Percy nodded in response, and when the chief editor and bodyguards were out of sight, he pushed Cara to the ground. Percy shook his head and wiped his hands on his blue Italian suit. He unbuttoned the suit and sat on the couch."Don't even think about sitting on this couch with me," he warned in his stern tone.

Cara stared at Percy and wondered if all he did was all for a show. She thought he couldn't have protected her from the reporters all for a show. "You have great guts to want to go ahead with this marriage after all my warnings!" Percy chuckled, and just then, the door leading to the room opened. He quickly stood up and headed towards Cara. He fell on top of her and started laughing out loud. He didn't care about the pain he had put her through at that moment because his weight was on her.

Cara moaned silently in pain and tried to push Percy off her, but he grabbed her hands and pinned them to the ground. "Stay still," he whispered into her ears. "My fiancee is the clumsy type, and we love each other to the extent that we fall on the ground," he joked and laughed.

The staff ignored them and placed a glass of wine on the table with two wine glasses. They bowed and left quietly. Just as he heard the door closing, he groaned out his frustration and stood up, but just then the door opened again and he fell on top of Cara again.

"Ahhhh," Cara cried out in pain.

"Your highness," Kamil said as he entered the room, bowing his head. "I just finished parking and I..." He stopped abruptly when he saw where Percy and Cara were. "I apologize," he said, looking away.

"What's there to apologize for?" Percy scoffed and stood up and sat on the couch. "She is nothing but a gold digger like her mother, so...."

"You hurt me when you kept jumping on me!" Cara voiced out, expecting an apology, but she was ignored by Percy, who ordered Kamil to pour him a drink.

Percy chuckled as he took a sip of the wine. "Your whore of a mother dressed you up like a whore and even had your breasts on display!" He pointed out

Cara felt ashamed and placed her hands on her chest. "I didn't choose this dress," she tried to defend herself. "I....."

Percy laughed, "cat got your tongue. If your stupid mother thinks that I'll be moved by your nakedness, then she must be crazy," said Percy, standing up with the glass of wine in his hand. He paced around and laughed like a maniac every few seconds. "My father is a fool to have fallen for your mother, but for me, I'll never love someone like you!" He declared. "You still have time to back out of this sham of a marriage!"

Cara shook her head in response because she couldn't back out of the arrangement. Her brother would be in trouble, and that would mean losing the only family she ever had. "I am not backing out and.." she bit her lips as she almost spilled her real secret. To be candid, I know you hate me and, to be honest, the feeling is mutual. "I don't like you either!" Cara declared.

It was the first time she had ever raised her voice at him since she had meant him. Cara knew that she could be punished for that, but she wasn't going to be used around like a piece of rag and not stand up to speak for herself.

"Then why are you here?" Percy shouted and poured the wine on her dress."Stop acting as if you are not worse than your mother!" He yelled and dropped the glass on the ground. The glass shattered into pieces, and Percy didn't have enough. He grabbed her hand and pulled her up. He held her throat and grinned wickedly. "I hate you so much that I wish you died any moment from now, but that'd be too easy for you, right?" He chuckled.

Cara choked on her breath as Percy's hand grew tighter around her neck. She slapped his hand, but he didn't budge. Instead, he tightened his grip around her neck. "I'll proceed with the wedding, but it'll be your funeral!" He let go of her and pushed her to the ground.

Cara fell to the ground and started coughing. Just then, the door opened, and Percy rushed to her side. "I've warned you every time not to drink too much," Percy said, rubbing Cara's back gently.

"Is she alright?" The chief editor asked Percy.

Percy nodded and pointed to the glass on the ground. "She must have dropped the glass because of how high she is!" Percy expressed it sadly. "We won't be able to continue with this interview because she spilled the wine on her dress," Percy said, pointing to Cara's dress, which had a faded red stain. But Percy added, "but my fiancee is a heavy drinker." He gently helped Cara up. She retaliated by stepping on his toe with her heels

.

Percy yelled out in pain, but he laughed out loud when he saw that they all had their eyes on him. "My baby needs to rest now." She gets a lot more crazy when she is high! " Percy said and helped Cara out of the room.

Meanwhile, one of the reporters, a male that accompanied the chief editor into the room, had everything on record. It was his way of getting a promotion, and he didn't hesitate to video them without anyone noticing.

When they got outside the broadcast station, reporters rushed towards them and threw a series of questions at them, and one of the questions made Percy smile.

"Your highness, is it true that your fiancee is a heavy drinker?"

A video of her is circulating around. "Are you going to marry a drinker?"

"How could she drink if she is pregnant?"

Percy ignored the questions, but it made him smile. They managed to walk through the swarms of reporters and entered the limousine. "That was fun!" Percy laughed.

You can stop acting now. There is no one here! " Cara pointed out that they were the only people in the limousine, including the driver.

I asked, "What kind of groom would I be if I let my mate suffer like this?" "I have to take you home since you are drunk."

I don't need your help! You've ruined everything now! " Cara shouted, and a lone tear escaped her eyes. She didn't want to look weak in front of Percy, so she wiped the tears off her face.

Percy's countenance changed in a second, and he moved closer to Cara, who shifted away from him until there was no more space. "I warned you, didn't I?" Percy shouted at her.

Percy laughed. "You could've avoided all of this if you had backed out when I told you to, and now someone's got you on record, and I'm happy for that person because your family reputation is slowly going to ruin." He chuckled. "How could the daughter of one of the prestigious Alphas be a heavy drinker?" he tutted. It's going to be in every newspaper! "

"You think I have a choice!" Cara shouted and burst into tears. This time, she didn't hide her pain away from him. "You think I want all of this?" She yelled. "You wouldn't understand because you've had everything in your palm since you were a child. You don't know..." Cara paused and heaved a sigh.

"Oh really?" Percy clapped and laughed. "You are trying to put the victim blame on me now! You know why I hate you so much? " He shouted and grabbed her hand. Because your family ruined my happiness! Your whore mother made my mother seem like nothing, and she didn't have enough. She wants the throne too, and she is not going to get that because you don't know, " Percy tightened his grip on Cara's hand, and even when she cried out in pain, he ignored her.

"You don't know what I have in store for you. I'll make life terrible for you until you beg for mercy! Until I pay your mother back, I won't rest and make sure you regret ever agreeing to this marriage. "
