"Oh, what a shame, brother! You've secretly come all the way to our old city without a single care to invite your siblings and I for one feel severely wronged." Kol entered the room seemingly not caring about the expressions of the others who were just having a conversation about the future of the city.
"Yes, it truly is a shame brother, a shame you seem to think I have a need to report to... the lot of you about whatever I plan to do. I assure you I do not." Klaus said as he slowly stood up from the chair as he went to receive his brother.
"Don't be like that, surely you aren't still cross with me, right? My infraction was not nearly as horrid as Finn's." Kol responded with a frown. Hope was going to guess that Kol embarrassing the family, tormenting the Salvatores, among other things never counted as "horrid infractions" to him considering how chaotic her uncle was.
"Make no mistake, Kol, I make no delusions about the severity of your actions in fact there is a clear disparity between the two of you is there not? One lay in a box and the other is still breathing. If I were you, I'd appreciate that." Klaus ended with a false smile as he patted Kol's shoulder and turned back around resulting in Kol responding with a scowl.
"Gentlemen, forgive me if I fail to see the point of which the two of you contend over such trivial issues when it is apparent that we have more pressing matters to attend to," Elijah said as he walked over to glance at the two of them with his hands folded in front of himself.
"Yo, Thierry, what's up? What?! Alright" Marcel put down his phone with a grave expression on his face.
"What's wrong?" Hope asked, walking over in concern. As far as she knew there weren't supposed to be any large events for a while since she came to New Orleans pretty early.
"The witches and werewolves in the city got together to declare war on us. The witches demanded that they be the ones in charge of the city."
"Well, we have a simple solution do we not? Kill, torture, threaten, ah, the classics. Let's get to it shall we?" Answered Klaus casually. Sometimes he even scared Hope, it sounded the same as when he was talking about what colors to use for his painting when he said that.
"Do not be rash, brother, we do not yet know what they plan to ambush us with upon our arrival. Their confidence in which they believe they will succeed in this endeavor is extremely off-putting considering our identities." Counseled Elijah. He thought that since they believed they could challenge them despite knowing they were the original family they should have a trap that they believe can deal with them.
"Dear, Lijah, always the overthinker aren't you? They're just a couple of witches and mutts, what harm could they cause? Worst case scenario they have a trap and annoy us even more than their existence already does. We can't be killed, remember? In fact, I'll show you." Smirked Kol before rushing out of the house.
"Kol, wait!" Elijah yelled, sticking out his hand before lowering it in disappointment and sighing.
"Don't worry, I'll follow him."
*SCENE BREAK*
Hope was now feeling conflicted. She was obviously the strongest, so why did she have to hide it? If anything, she should reveal it and prevent others from plotting against her family, right? She wasn't sure why she was staying lowkey.
Just as she came to a conclusion with her thoughts, she seemed to have arrived at the witches' coven. Upon her arrival, she noticed 2 women who came to greet her.
Upon closer inspection, it seemed Sophie and Sabine came to greet her. She wondered what gave them the confidence to confront her on her own. However, she then remembered. Sophie was still linked to Hayley. So no matter what happens she can't harm Sophie, or go against her bottom line. So the three of them were at a standstill the moment they met.
"And who might you be?" Asked Sabine, leisurely walking towards the younger Mikaelson. Hope found it funny how people seemed to underestimate her. If she really wanted to, Hope could strike both of them with natural lightning.
"Hope Mikaelson, look I know we're at a standstill and all, but neither sides gain anything from fighting right? Why don't we work this out with negotiations? Also, there should have been an original who tried to bother you guys. Can you just send him back?"
"You seem to misunderstand something Ms.Mikaelson it's not you who has the upper hand in this situation. It's us, with Sophie safely linked and in our coven the only two smarter individuals in your family remain at a standstill, one has already been captured, and the remaining two can be dealt with by numbers. Do tell me what leverage you have that would have me oh so inclined to comply."
Hope simply chuckled darkly in response. Truth be told her anger has risen considerably from this entire situation. Now they're gonna see what happens when she releases that anger because she's been docile far too much recently.
Hope whipped her head up and snapped two fingers. This was followed by Sabine's agonizing scream to which Sophie responded by positioning a dagger over her stomach even though she didn't process what happened, when she finally looked over she saw a scene that sent a chill down her spine. Sabine lay on the ground with one leg missing and bloody paste all over the cold stone floor.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Sophie. You know, something tells me you have a goal in all this. How will you achieve that goal if you kill yourself just to get back at me for the sake of this idiot?" Hope said as she coldly stared at the both of them before snapping again. This time, Sabine's arm disappeared followed by another agonizing scream.
"SOPHIE!!!" Sabine roared out a sound from so deep inside herself that a pastor wouldn't be able to help but point a cross at her.
"I-I'm sorry Sabine, but she's right I-I have to bring back Monique." She said as she dropped the knife on the ground. Sophie might have acted fearless and perhaps she would have followed through in the beginning. However, now, being this close to her goal. She needs to consider the big picture. If she kills herself Hope wipes out the entire coven as a response. Monique will simply stay dead and the coven will cease to exist. Completely defeating the purpose of everything she's done.
"Glad we could come to an understanding." Hope finished as she gave a cold and mocking smirk at Sophie before snapping her fingers again. After which, Sabine's blood-curdling screams died down as her head exploded into blood paste.
"Next time, make smarter decisions," Hope said mockingly. This time, however, she didn't snap. She put two fists together and twisted in opposite directions to break the link between Sophie and Hayley. Sophie sensed this, however, after what she had just seen, she didn't dare to resist.
"See you around Sophie, well, hopefully not."
